Chapter 94 - 94: Restraint
The necklace Alexander Summers gave her was simple in style but exquisite. When Purple Summers wore it around her neck, it made her look even more elegant with her delicate, snow-white skin.
However, Purple felt as if she were wearing a pet collar.
Constriction, suffocation, lack of freedom.
They left the hotel room and took Alexander’s private elevator, avoiding any onlookers.
When the elevator doors opened, Purple saw her car outside.
Her beloved car had been completely refurbished and was now parked next to Alexander’s black Rolls Royce. One black, one pink, both were attention – grabbing.
Was the service at the repair shop so good that they would deliver the car right to the customer after maintenance?
No need to think about it. It must have been Alexander’s doing.
“This is my third sister-in-law’s car,” Alexander said with a teasing smile. “How did it end up in your hands?”
“My elder brother gave it to me,” Purple whispered.
“He gave it to you?” Alexander chuckled maliciously. “Or did you demand it?”
Purple pursed her lips and didn’t answer.
Even if she didn’t say, he already knew.
Alexander held her hand and gave it a peck before getting into the car.
However, Purple sat in the passenger seat.
Noticing Alexander getting into the driver’s seat, Purple felt anxious.
This was her car! She hadn’t even had a chance to drive it since having the interior refurbished, maintenance done, and cleaned!
Purple grabbed his arm, “What are you doing?”
Alexander raised an eyebrow, “Going home, of course.”
“You… you should drive your own car.” Purple felt wronged, why should Alexander drive her car!
“Purple, can you drive?” Alexander seemed surprised and looked at her. “When did you get your driver’s license?”
She was suddenly at a loss for words…
Purple couldn’t drive and didn’t have a license. She should just obediently sit in the passenger seat.
With her eyes closed, she swallowed her emotions. “I haven’t… I just know a little bit.”
“That’s okay.” Alexander caressed her face. “Later, I’ll teach you how to drive.”
Purple turned her face away.
As the car drove out of the hotel’s underground parking lot, the outside was bathed in the warm orange light of dusk.
The sunset painted the streets golden, and a passing breeze swept away the summer heat.
Two black luxury cars followed closely on either side, like the most loyal bodyguards. Their car left the city’s main road, and the scenery on both sides gradually became desolate and lonely—
Purple felt something was wrong.
This was not the way home.
Feeling anxious, she asked Alexander, “Aren’t we going home?!”
“Yes, we’re going home,” Alexander smiled.
His home, not the Summers family home.
Purple suddenly understood the hidden meaning behind his mysterious smile and gasped.
She felt the warmth inside her body draining away, replaced by chills that seemed to freeze every drop of her blood.
He was already so brazen outside. If she ended up in his den, would she have any chance of escape?
“I want to go home!” Purple’s voice trembled. “My mother will be worried…” “Don’t worry. I’ll tell Mom that we’re going to another province for a trip.” Alexander steered the car with one hand, touching her face with the other. “Purple, I’ve missed you these past few days. Be a good girl and keep me company.”
Purple was not naive enough to believe that “accompanying” him meant just chatting over tea.
… She had had enough of Alexander’s perverse control!
But did she have the right to refuse?
Purple bit her lip hard, turning them white.
Desperately, she searched her mind for any glimmer of hope to escape.
—Bang!
A sudden gunshot struck the car window!
The bullet barely grazed her hair and embedded itself in the side of the seat!
“Get down!” Alexander’s voice was decisive, pushing Purple’s head down with one hand while swerving the steering wheel with the other!
