Chapter 125: More Exploration
However, he was abruptly taken out of his reverie as the curious voice of Boundless sounded out.
That cute, lovable, and curious woman who he had become more and more fond of as time passed
|Where are we going next, Azmond?| She asked with glowing eyes. An imperceptible sheen almost made itself seen, as it appeared that she was...
enjoying herself?
It looked like she had quite an adventurous heart herself. Those dazzling brown eyes were filled with a deep sense of anticipation for the journey ahead.
A journey that she didn't realize she so badly wanted to be a part of until now.
Azmond acutely observed the familiar look in her eyes as an equally adventurous feeling began to fester inside him.
His voice came out in a deep, raspy tone as his gaze traveled out into the distance, looking for his next pitstop on his way of experimentation.
"We will head further east."
He still had some unfinished business he needed to settle with a certain goblin kingdom, after all.
His mind was somewhere else entirely as he completely overlooked the barren and dilapidated landscape that surrounded the two of them
There were craters and deep, singed pits in every direction surrounding the goblin village. The entire immediate vicinity looked like a war-torn landscape, victim to a terrible cataclysmic catastrophe.
The heat emanating from the elements of such destruction was still present in the seemingly perennial crimson fire that lay spread out across the various chasms.
Despite the destruction he caused, Azmond was prepared to venture off to the east despite what he had to this piece of Asterion.
Or at least, he was...
That was until he recalled all the locked-up humans
"Oh" He felt like a total blockhead for forgetting such a thing.
His indifferent gaze traveled to the various assortments of humans in large wooden carts. His scrutinizing gaze also made its way to the lifeless women in the grander stone hut.
A thoughtful expression emerged on his face as he thoroughly analyzed everything around him. And what he saw left in a state of contemplation
'... The women at the last encampment I saw like this one were in a similar predicament, and I resolved my nerves enough to put them out of their misery. Should I do the same this time as well?'
One could infer his conflicted thoughts from his facial expression as he brooded over a sensitive topic.
It wasn't like he was a monster that enjoyed killing women under the pretense that they came out of a bad situation. They were in such a terrible state that they would have died within the next day or two, and no degree of healing could fix what 'ailed' them
He didn't like what he did the last time he came across such a situation, but he didn't have many other options. Those women were in a far more distraught state than the ones here.
It seemed like this village was a relatively newer oneone far younger in terms of nefarious deeds than the one he came across on his way to the giant waterfall.
These women might still have a chance to turn their lives around...
An exasperated sigh soon followed as Azmond descended from the high skies above before making his way to the wooden carts. Such an action was effectively followed up by a swift slicing motion, as the wooden carts were dissected into thousands of smaller pieces.
Without even giving the previously encaged humans time to react, his elusive figure had already phased to the entrance of the large hut.
He swiftly entered the hut before bearing witness to the gloomy aura inside...
|They truly are such pitiful souls| Boundless's sympathetic voice made its way into the ears of Azmond.
"Hmm...?" He began to notice that something was up.
Another peculiar observation was that none of the women who sensed Azmond's sudden unfamiliar presence appeared oblivious to the striking bountiful brown-haired goddess accompanying him.
Azmond, who immediately noticed such an occurrence, briefly made his concerns known.
"Can they not see or hear you, Boundless?"
|No. Only you, my master, is allowed to be made aware of my presence.| Her response was instantaneous, as she locked eyes with him for a split second before returning her face to its rightful spot.
"I see."
Azmond did not feel the need to dwell over such a topic as he refocused his attention on the womenwomen who were left in a trance when they saw his appearance.
Boundless noticed a disturbance in the force and turned her face toward the source.
Her eyebrows began to twitch as a creepy smile formed on her usually joyful face, and a chilling voice soon followed.
|It looks like these women are enamored by your looks, Azmond. I wonder what you will do about this?| Her seemingly innocent words were anything but, as an unfamiliar killing intent began to leak from her.
A wry smile materialized on Azmond's face as he found himself in quite the conundrum
He could feel the women's emotions from miles away, as they were practically spilling out of them
Azmond caught a glimpse of puddles of an unknown liquid beginning to form underneath a few of the women.
However, he didn't have time to further scrutinize such a view, as the menacing aura leaking out of Boundless only intensified!
Veins were popping up all over her perfectly sculpted face as a deep-rooted glare filled to the brim with animosity honed in on the clueless women.
A shiver simulateneously went down all of their spines as they were subsequently snapped out of their stupor.
They looked around with puzzled faces, trying to find the cause of the chills they felt. However, even after a few seconds of searching, they found nothing out of the ordinary.
So, their gazes quickly returned to the divine man.
A man who appeared in their lives like the most radiant of stars!
