Vol. 6 - Chapter 316 - ‹Advent of the Great Spirit›! Spellcaster Celia!

Celia tightly grasped the two-handed wand leaning against her body and raised it overhead, towards the sky.

"O' great lord of the Fire Spirit, I beseech thee, grant me the power I seek! "

"——--"

The moment Celia recited the incantation, a brilliant golden radiance enveloped the fire spirit she had summoned using ‹Spirit Summoning›.

Woooah! This mystical phenomenon is so different from the game!

The golden radiance expanded rapidly, swelling to a size of two meters in an instant.

In the next moment, the intense radiance dissipated with a blinding flash, revealing a humanoid spirit suspended in mid-air. Its hair and a part of its body were engulfed in flickering flames.

—The Great Fire Spirit.

The humanoid spirit was adorned in a suit of full-body armor, with eyes redder than the waist-length hair that blazed crimson. In one hand, it held a huge spear that measured over ‹Boss Coccoo› meters in length. Flames constantly spewed from the gaps in the armor.

What to say, it was I-Ignis in person! The flames are not hot at all despite it being so close! and above all, it looks so cool! Way to steal the limelight, Ignis!

Celia's unique skill, ‹Advent of the Great Spirit›, temporarily replaces a <XXXX Element Spirit› and summons a Great Spirit. The summoned Great Spirit depends upon the spell used, which this was, Ignis, the great fire spirit.

In addition, the overall attributes of summoned spirit can be enhanced using the ‹Ancient Spirit Arts› before summoning the Great Spirit.

Just summoning a Great Spirit requires a great deal of time and effort, requiring four types of spell; ‹Spirit Summoning›, ‹Ancient Spirit Arts›, ‹Advent of the Great Spirit› and in the end ‹XXXX (insert name of the Great Spirit)›.

"The target is ‹Boss Cocco›, Ignis-sama, please deal with him!"

‹————› (Ignis’s dialogue)

"Co-Coccoo!?"

‹Boss Coccoo› had just gotten up after receiving the huge damage and was dashing towards Lulu when Ignis cut in between to block the path.

Ignis's body blazed with flames, and after exchanging a momentary glare with ‹Boss Cocoo›, raised its right hand and unleashed a burst of flames.

"Coccooo!"

‹————›

‹Boss Coccoo› sidestepped and avoided the incoming burst of flames with nimble footwork.

However Ignis had already taken stance with the huge spear and charged forward to where it ‹Boss Coccoo› dodged.

"Coccoo!?"

‹————›

"Coccoooo!!"

The big spear pierced ‹Boss Coccoo›, and from there, Ignis unleashed a flurry of spear techniques.

‹Boss Coccoo› was overwhelmed by Ignis's onslaught in the beginning, but as if to say 'Like hell i will lose' and gradually began to respond to the attacks with its ‹Chicken Fist›.

It was like two monsters were dueling each other from a bystander perspective.

"Celia, it might be time to use ‹All› and ‹Zone›."

"Yes! ‹All›! ‹Zone›!"

Celia cast magic on Ignis at my instruction. ‹All› is a recovery magic that only works on Great Spirits and heals the damage received.

Great Spirits, as can be seen, are capable of fighting alone with the unique skill that allows them to act independently for the summoned duration.

It's kind of similar to Pamela's ‹Ninja Technique - Clone Art›.

Ignis is a close-combat fighter, though there are also other Great Spirits that specialize in long-range attacks. Aside from summoning them, it's of utmost importance to keep an eye on their HP bar and heal them on time, else they just disappear if the bar hit zero.

‹Zone›, meanwhile, is a spell that increases the duration of summoned duration of a Great Spirit.

Their summoned duration is dependent on the unique skill level. So it's best to keep the ‹Zone› up to increase their summoned duration if the user wants to keep them in summoned state for longer, instead of disappearing once the time limit is over.

The third order of the ‹Spiritualist› tree focuses on tactics centered around Great Spirits. That being said, art users must be cautious of the damage caused by Great Spirits lest it attracts the enemies aggro towards themselves.

Aggro earned by Great Spirit is transferred to art users, so it would not be a funny matter if the opponent turned to focus on them on the rear-line, ignoring the Great Spirits.

With Celia's INT, the strength of Great Spirit's attacks ranges from 1st order skill tree to 2nd order skill tree of average students. She would be in danger if Great Spirit did too much damage. I must teach her about this too.

"‹Aura Heal›! Lulu! Can you take care of the boss's aggro!?"

"Okay! Leave it to me! ‹Hero's Entry›!"

I instructed Lulu, who was staring at the Great Spirit with sparkling eyes, to take care of the boss's aggro. She swiftly uses ‹Hero's Entry› to strike a cool pose and garner aggro. It was a taunt skill, just like mine ‹Appeal›. (T/N: Imagine the pose power ranger strikes when they makes their entry, or just google search シャキンポーズ)

Kuh~, though, Lulu's hero pose gave me goosebumps!

With this, the matter of ‹Boss Coccoo›'s aggro was settled.

The original plan was to have the Rika continue to take the target of ‹Boss Coccoo› and ‹Boss Mogyu› while attackers will deal with ‹Boss Coccoo›, however Lulu's improved so much that she ended up taking ‹Boss Coccoo›'s target to herself.

Rika earned hate through parry and counterattack so it's tough to regain it back once the opponent stops attacking her even once.

In that case, it's time to deploy plan B! Lulu is going to handle ‹Boss Coccoo› while playing as a sub-tank. Make do with what we have!

"Co-Cocooo!!"

"‹Heart Charm›! ‹Charm Point Sword›!"

‹————›

"‹Lightning Burst›!"

Our plan slightly went off-track but we eventually managed to turn ‹Boss Coccoo› into effect with Lulu, Celia and also mine support after that.

"Co......ccoo........."

"Great, let's take down ‹Boss Puby› too! Lulu, Celia, you guys are up!"

"Aye!"

"Understood."

Afterwards, Lulu and Celia switched their target to ‹Boss Puby› whom Pamela was dealing with.

"Oink!?"

"Be blown to oblivion! ‹Sacred Explode›!"

And soon, even ‹Boss Puby› was dispatched to the sea of effect after receiving the direct hit from Lulu's holy attribute skill. ‹Boss Puby› was already reduced by two-thirds under the consecutive onslaught of Pamela, so it was a short-lived battle.

Another factor it ended so quickly was largely due to Pamela rapidly garnerin the aggro, giving Celia the time frame to attack with all her might without worrying about it.

In addition to summoning the Great Spirit, she also summoned normal attribute spirits and bombarded bosses with her elemental skills one after another.. At present, she is capable of summoning one Great Spirit and one normal elemental spirit each.

She is by far, the best spellcaster ‹Eden› has.

Lulu also used her debuff skill, ‹Lolita Mind›, to lower the magic defense of the boss, which made it easy to defeat.

"Moo——!"

"Here's the last job guys, go all out!"

"Here I go!"

"Please, Ignis-sama!"

"Switching to attacker-desu!"

At my instruction, Lulu, Celiia, and Pamela showed their enthusiasm. ‹Boss Mogyu› was the last one so Pamela switched to offensive mode. Barely several minutes had passed when Rika came back.

"Huh, is it already over!?"

"Yeah. It was a tough opponent because of its armor, but it couldn't stand the onslaught of motivated Lulu, Celia and Pamela. I didn't even get the chance to put up defense skills."

"Poor Mogyu, it didn't stand a chance at all."

I had been positioned behind them, to be ready to heal them at any moment, though that moment never came. It was a one-sided massacre.

‹Boss Coccoo› was equally handled easily, but it was still worth something as it provided Lulu and Celia with the opportunity to showcase their abilities.

May you rest in peace, ‹Boss Coccoo›.

"Let's fight again! Lulu will take them down in a flash this time!"

"Nice!"

Lulu is shining more than usual today. No, not just her, Celia and Pamela are equally the MVP of today’s battle.

They have just unlocked their 3rd order skill tree. So I guess fighting the bosses with new ‹Skill›, ‹Spell› and ‹Unique Skill› might have invigorated them in a new way.

I nodded at Lulu's suggestion.

"Alright, let's do it one more time!"

"Take it! ‹Rolling Sword›!"

"——Oink!?"

For the second round, We changed our strategy and decided to take down the ‹Boss Puby› first.

Lulu followed with another flashy attack after dodging with a somersault! She was just as cool as in the beginning!

Their movements were getting better and better, and even the boss fight clearing time was rapidly shortening down for the 2nd, 3rd round.3rd only took them around seven minutes to clear, that means they took down each boss in just little over two minutes. Well, I also joined them and contributed to some extent, so there's also that reason for the time to be so short.

Everyone has become so strong, eh.

This thought flashed past my mind as I saw ‹Boss Mogyu› disappearing into the sea of effects.

"We scored a ‹Gold Chest›!"

And just then, Lulu's shout echoed inside the boss room.

Well, Well, it seems there's one more job to do.
