Vol. 10 - Chapter 519 - Training Complete & Sorting out Preparation for Tomorrow!

was fraught with slight downs, but overall, it went smoothly.

They were our first twin bosses, so it had everyone perplexed, but that was only to last for a few moments. After all, our guild members had the wealth of experience fighting all sorts of bosses than any other students.

They soon got used to the pattern of twin bosses, plus with the tricks I had shown, we had gotten the tide of war completely on our side.

"Mooo!!"

"Mooo!"

"Uh-huh, now they've covered each other's back huh. Sierra, focus on Back-Bull! Ester and Karua, you're up for Front-Bull. Switch!"

"Sure."

"Understood!

<Turn Drive>

!"

<Turn Drive>

"Roger.

<Force Sonic>

!"

<Force Sonic>

As the HP of the twin boss fell to the red zone, the two Bull-Orc immediately took a back-to-back position; covering each other's back from incoming attack.

With that change, we could on longer take advantage of their blind angle. Plus, this formation increased their offense by straight 50%.

"Sierra, bring it to melee battle! Ester and Karua, Hit-and-Run tactic! They have got their offense enhanced, so make sure to avoid getting hit! Lana, bring out your heavy hitters!"

"Heh, I was just waiting for this!

<Shining Shining Sabre>

!

<Rise of Sacred Tree>

!"

<Shining Shining Sabre>

<Rise of Sacred Tree>

"Now for my turn!

<Lightning Burst>

!"

<Lightning Burst>

The way to counter that formation was easy. In exchange for tight movements, their efficiency against long range attacks had faltered. Taking a stance against long range attack had been Back-Bull's work, but Sierra had pinned that boss down.

Ester and Karua were engaging against Front-Bull. Lana and I were slamming our spells from distance. We had them perfectly dancing within our palm.

And soon, time came to shave off the last silver of HP.

"Behold the judgement!

<The Four Great Sword Radiance>

!"

<The Four Great Sword Radiance>

"And here's the sendoff firework,

<Thunderbolt>

!"

<Thunderbolt>

" "Mooooooooooooo!!!" "

Lana pinned down their movements with her sword of light, and in tune, I launched the giant arrow of thunder which reaps away the remaining HP.

And in moments, our first twin bosses had dispersed into their own pool of light particles, and vanished among them.

"We did it!"

"We sure did! And with perfection!"

I exchanged high-five with Lana.

"Good job, Sierra, Ester, and Karua! How did you see this boss fight?"

We walked up to where the rest of the three members were and offered them words of appreciation.

"Thank you, Zephyr-sama. They made for quite a peculiar boss. You learn something new everyday."

"Indeed. Without Zephyr-dono's instruction, there had been so many moments we could have fumbled seriously."

"Hmm, it was tricky, but easy."

"Oh geez, Karua. Isn't it easy because of Zephyr's command?"

Sierra, Ester, and Karua shared their opinion of the bosses, while Lana rebutted against Karua's murmur.

They had a lot to digest after fighting a new type of boss. For them, it was certainly a formidable opponent.

They had coordination down to an adequate degree, or could retaliate while ignoring the aggro. And even if you managed to push one boss into down status, the other would immediately follow up to be the shield.

It was an easy fight because I had already been aware of every single aspect, but for them, it was a hurdle they could get themselves into dicey situation easily.

It had every making of first-time killer---like rookie killer, except this holds true for an opponent you're facing for the first time. Of course, I was impervious to the first-time killer. I mean, it can't be first-time if I already had gone through them, ahaha!

"It seems there will be many more peculiar bosses to tackle down the road huh."

"Bingo. Well, with a countermeasure ready, they're not going to be much of a problem with our advanced job. Right, how did the new equipment feel, everyone?"

"......Ah, yes. Our today's goal was mainly to check the feel and performance of new equipment huh."

Sierra's eyes fluttered, seemingly just recalling our true task for today when I mentioned it.

And yes, the whole exploration and boss fights were basically to get used to our new equipment, aside from the advanced job, though it was obvious. Though, it seemed like the peculiarity of the new type of boss had gotten their whole attention that it became an afterthought.

"Well, from my perspective, everyone seems fine for tomorrow's interclass battle."

"I guess so, is it because we had focused too much? I feel like my movements were less stiff."

"Likewise. I also think we will at least not become a hindrance for the interclass battle, though more training is still due."

Sierra and Ester commented as the one who had a major change in their battle style.

One received the ability to manipulate four floating shields

The other received skate-esque movement related equipment

Rome wasn't built in a day, and no matter the prior experience, they had required time to get used to them. Though with the blessing of their job, and their own effort, they had grown enough to pull their weight even when facing formidable bosses.

Now, I was simply looking forward for tomorrow.

"But I still haven't gotten the hang of

<White Throne>

however. I guess I am going to use it in the main field straight, are you sure that would be fine?"

<White Throne>

Lana asked me with a slightly anxious expression.

Ah, well, the

<White Throne>

was an exceptionally strong stationary healing battery sort, but since you couldn't move, it wasn't exactly recommended for dungeon exploration. Also, it wasn't the best place to make use of it either way.

<White Throne>

The best place for it was the arena.

She had done some practice, but she obviously hadn't yet tried healing tens of people at once. Tomorrow would be her first try, the same goes for the true ability hidden within

<White Throne>

.

<White Throne>

Though that's for later, right now I ought to cheer her on.

"Of course. We have others for healing roles too, so just take it easy. Besides, almost all of your job abilities work even without the need of designating the recipient. You would be fine even while away from the main battlefield."

Lana's

<Seraphic Saintess>

healing work via prayers.

<Seraphic Saintess>

The best part of it was she hadn't been required to specifically set the target, so there was no chance for her to miss the part. After all, while it wasn't in the game, it was possible to accidentally heal your opponent in reality. And that had been why, since you don't need to set a target,

<Seraphic Saintess>

was the strongest healer in the

"Hn. I, too, will be fine."

"Haha, of course you will since your style barely changes. Well, it goes the same for me."

Karua and I had received straightforward power ups, so no new equipment for us. Though I should get a huge makeover too, once I acquire the equipment that goes by 'Dragon' title. But Karua for the majority party would remain the same. Her job was a high-ranking mid-tier job, so unfortunately no dramatic changes for her.

Either way, it was easy for us. And for now, I could say we were more or less ready to face the interclass battle tomorrow.

"I can't wait for tomorrow to come soon."

"I know, right! I would have liked some more practice, but there's rest of preparation as well, so this is it, I guess."

"You've made a wonderful decision, Lana-sam. Yes, let's do all that we can to not leave behind any regret tomorrow."

"Likewise. And it seems like the sun is already set, let's gather the drops and get back."

"Hn, I already gathered them."

"Woah, you sure are quick!?"

In this way, leaving the Int-high dungeon half explorer, we took the shortcut, a.k.a the teleportation circle, and returned back. Hmm, what about the boss's treasure chest? As you could imagine, if our members weren't excited about it, then of course, the drop was...... a

<Wooden Chest>

.

<Wooden Chest>

Atleast, the solace was we had already gotten better stuff on our way so that didn't sting that much.

The biggest win for us in this exploration was definitely the Summon Disk of General Bull-Orc. Kukuku, I couldn't wait to surprise everyone, fuhahaha!

Other classes might also use

<Summon Disk>

but that's no longer important!

<Summon Disk>

Either way, I just hope tomorrow comes soon so I could experience my first ever Inter-class battle in this world!
