Chapter 721 Tendril Stitched
Electra laughed as Olivia released the jagged spike at Electra. Tyrone appeared and shot a beam of acid at it. The jagged spike dissipated into nothing as Tyrone's arm dropped to the side. Electra glanced at Tyrone and smiled.
"Did I really promise I'd make you into us, Spawnling?" Electra asked. "I believe I said I'd give you a chance if you did well and… This doesn't look like you did well at all." Tyrone's eyes widened. Electra's arm flew through his chest with his heart in her hand. Blood spilled from the large wound and Tyrone's mouth. He coughed as Electra's arm ignited. She squashed the heart and turned to look at Jordan as Tyrone turned to ashes.
"That was my condition. Look what you did here. You let them get the better of you because you were cocky. You're nothing more than a mutt who wishes he could fly and…" Electra turned as another jagged spike flew at her. Without a single motion, the spike turned to ash. Ritsuka and Evan were already ganging up on her as a smile grew on her lips. "You want to play? I'm afraid this isn't the time for playing."
Fire exploded from her body, burning everything in its wake as Evan and Ritsuka lifted their weapons to block. A cosmic energy wrapped around Ritsuka, Evan, Olivia, and Alex, cocooning them in dark gray tendrils as Electra's smile widened.
"You've come out to play now?" Electra asked, turning. Lee Seng shot out of the debris and landed on a large piece of the building. Along his arms and chest where tendrils had marked Lee Seng like he had somehow stitched himself back together. Blood dripped to the floor as Lee Seng rolled his neck. "I'm surprised you're even alive after what that mutt did to you."
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I simply closed the wounds for a moment to deal with you." Lee Seng told Electra. Lee Seng launched himself forward, lifting his left index and left middle finger up and swiping. A blast of cosmic energy flew outwards, colliding with Electra's fireball. Electra pushed past the explosion as the flames surrounded her.
"Dragon's Breath!" Electra's jaw dropped further than any normal human being, releasing a blast of purple flames. Lee Seng's tendrils whipped forward, creating a large shield. The tendrils burnt to a crisp as they continued to regrow and reform the shield. Electra flew towards the wall, snapping her jaw back into place as she smashed through the tendrils.
"Blooming Flames!" Fire flowers bloomed all around them. Electra's fist glowed with a blooming flower. She swung at Lee Seng, who raised his arms to block. A loud reverberating crack echoed through the air as Lee Seng flew into the debris. Electra glanced at her hand and noticed an unfamiliar energy on it. It was a sigil of a circle crossed out diagonally from the top-right to the bottom-left.
"Tch, what is this?" Electra tried to scrub the mark off, but it wouldn't work.
"Psionic Beam!" A purple beam fired from Liz's hands to Electra's back. Electra whipped around, attempting to raise a fiery barrier. The beam knocked her off her feet and into the air. Evan reached out with his hand and pulled. The kinetic energy discharged off him, creating a large slow zone. Ritsuka sprinted towards Electra, Obsidian Glass switching over to Anger Fang.
"Endless Banquet!" Ritsuka leapt into the air, spun, and slashed downwards. Angerfang connected, red and black energy exploding out of Electra's back as she erupted into flames. "Tch, she acted faster than we could." The flames grew all around Ritsuka, pushing him away as the flames grew close together.
"To think you could get a sneaky shot off of me." Electra praised Liz. "That's good, but it's not quite enough to bring me down." Three spikes flew at Electra, who didn't bat an eye as they turned to ashes around her. The air sizzled like a hot summer's day. Electra let out a breath of fire as parts of her body lit up in flames. "Now you can all die." Electra lifted her right hand up and tightened her fingers like she was releasing flames. Nothing came out and Electra gritted her teeth and did it again. And again. And again. "Why isn't it working?" Electra opened and closed her hand, yet nothing would come out.
Lee Seng popped out of the debris, looking nastier than ever. Large leech-like tendrils moved around his body, slowly moving over his injuries. Lee Seng let out a sigh. Cosmic stars grew around him as he watched Electra spin around.
"What did you do to me?" Electra asked. Lee Seng shrugged.
"I didn't do anything. You did that all by yourself. I guess you aren't that perceptive of sensing energy, hm?" Lee Seng asked. Electra's eyes swirled with red as she glanced at her arm. There were small, tiny leeches all over her. "How did I get those on you?"
Electra screamed as she swatted the tiny leeches away. Lee Seng didn't waste any time. He flew at her as tendrils shot out of his left hand and formed a sword. Lee Seng swung the tendril blade at Electra, watching her panic and dodge. Lee Seng swung downwards at Electra, who jumped backwards. She flexed her fingers and watched flames sputter. She had broken through Lee Seng's stupid trick.
Lee Seng launched the tendril sword at Electra as Liz, Ritsuka, Olivia and Evan got into place. Electra dodged the tendril sword as Olivia released another couple spikes.
Electra growled in frustration as she caught one of the spikes, lighting it on fire. A spike flew past and the last one landed in her thigh. She crushed the flaming spike in her hand and pulled the other spike out.
"Freeze." Olivia whispered. A strange feeling washed over Electra. Her once free body was suddenly not answering her.
"Argh! What the hell is this? Did you do this?" Electra's head slowly turned to look at Olivia who was already moving aside. Ritsuka swung at Evan's blade and smiled at Electra.
"See ya!" Ritsuka shouted.
"Kinetic Repulsion!" Evan shot forwards with the shield raised. He slammed straight into Electra, who was sent flying. Lee Seng lifted his hand and stopped her mid-air as a crackle of lightning flew at her. Electra screamed in pain. Lee Seng swung his hand downwards and watched as Electra slammed against the ground. The tendril sword flew up in the air and pointed itself in Electra's direction
"I'll make sure to let them know you underestimated a bunch of 'humans.'" Lee Seng smiled. The sword sailed through the air, glowing with cosmic energy. "Piercing Light."
"AHH!" Electra screamed. Electra's body lit up on fire as the cosmic lines coursed through her entire body. "DAMN YOU ELEVEN! DAMN YOU!" Electra exploded into a ball of fire, lighting the area around her in flames as the sword rattled to the ground. Lee Seng gasped as he dropped onto the debris.
"Did we do it?" Evan asked.
"Lee!" Liz shot herself towards Lee Seng. Liz landed on the uneven debris hill and crouched. Lee Seng's body was starting to seize. "Shit, he overdid it!" Evan and Ritsuka sprinted over as Liz turned. "Pick him up! We need to find a doctor now! The Dark Matter in his system has depleted! He could go into full-out Dark Matter Shock!" Evan and Ritsuka scrambled up the debris hill and grabbed Lee Seng. Lee Seng's arms and chest were deeply wounded.
"He didn't heal that?" Evan asked, lifting Lee Seng up with Ritsuka.
"Olivia! Do you know a doctor?" Ritsuka shouted. The two boys with off to the side of Lee Seng descended the hill. Olivia knelt, checking on Alex, who was barely conscious. She turned to look at her teammates.
"My grandma, but—" Olivia stopped mid sentence and covered her mouth. She whipped her head around looking for Manny. "Where's Manny? He isn't gonna make it with those wounds!" Alex coughed up blood as he weakly turned to look at Lee Seng. Lee Seng's left arm was almost falling apart. If it weren't for the tendrils, Lee Seng would've lost so much more blood. Liz turned her head and lit up in lightning. She flew off, leaving her friends behind.
"Where you going?!?" Evan shouted. "We need Manny or a healer!"
"She's probably getting him." Ritsuka hushed Evan.
"If-If you need.. . a healer… Lexie." Alex weakly suggested. Olivia turned to look at Alex and nodded. "I think… I saw her… over there…" He raised his arm and pointed to the forest. "Where… Jamie came from…" Olivia turned and hobbled over to the forest. She passed Jamie's burnt body and forced herself to continue forwards. She couldn't break down now. She couldn't let anyone else die.
"Lexie!" Olviia shouted. She looked around not seeing a single soul. The people that had stayed around ended up dead. Olivia limped forward and called Lexie's name again. "Lexie! Where are you?!?" Tears swelled in Olivia's eyes as she sucked in a ragged breath. "Lexie!"
"Oli?" Lexie called out. Olivia turned to see Lexie was with some casualties. "What's wrong?" Lexie stood up and moved over to Olivia. "Are you hurt? What's wrong?"
"Save them." Olivia's lips trembled. "Save them. T-they're gonna… They're gonna die!"
