Chapter 132 - Thought Analysis

CHAPTER 132
That wasn't what had surprised him but the sound of the laughter sounded so familiar.
'No way! It cannot be.' Zale thought to himself.
The connection was still taking time to figure out in his mind. He had not expected things to be like that. Was he lucky or what? All in one week and everything was clicking.
Although it was a possibility and one that he couldn't ascertain he was sure he recognized that voice anywhere.
Because Jade was the heiress of the Frost empire, not just anyone could meet with her. That was how her father structured her life but through all those, he happened to be near her once and heard her voice.
She wasn't the particular talking type when she was outside and even when she spoke, she used a different voice.
It was on one of the occasions when she snuck out to have fun with her friend and he happened to be there that he heard her talk and laugh.
It was a distinct rare privilege for him to have noticed since he met her on an occasion where she was being free.
It took Zale some time but he finally understood everything.
Before he never thought it useful since he knew her and could identify her at any time and day but now, when she laughed, he blessed the heavens for making him witness such a scene that day.
But then again, this was a different person and the laughter could just be a coincidence seeing as people can sound the same.
The voice however was making him have a change of mind. Everything looked so similar and when he looked at her hair, which was a wavy brown now, he changed his mind.
The Jade he presumably knew, had a very long silver hair one that was out of this world but even at that most people thought that her mother and herself had dyed it.
So if that was the case, meaning she could have dyed this one. I mean anyone could do that especially when they were in hiding.
'If I could just get a glimpse of her eyes then perhaps I would be able to clarify something,' Zale thought to himself.
All through his gaze remained fixed on herself and Xander, waiting for an opportunity where she would turn and fix her gaze upon him but he found none.
'Shit, turn let me see you, bloody bitch.' Zale cursed within himself again.
There was still another problem he was considering. If really she was Jade would she be mingling with Xander Warner like this when both parties haven't known and may likely not have seen eye to eye due to some issues best known to him?
He knew her father and he did not see eye to her so it was very unlikely that the daughter would mingle with him.
But then again, he could not deny the fact that what if she knew and she was out to destroy all those her father wasn't in agreement with just so she could find the person that killed him.
He shook his head at that thought. It wasn't making any sense.
It was obvious that she knew who killed her family, but what she did not know was who orchestrated it.
Just as his thoughts were running wild, he saw something else that almost made his eyes bulge out. Right there where they were in the lobby, he watched as Xander leaned in, moving his head down a bit so he could be at the same eye level with her and gently pressed his lips against hers.
'What the…' Zale could not believe what he saw. This was definitely not what he imagined.
Instantly he started to have second thoughts about his guess as she being Jade Frost.
'This can't be right. No this is not true. Perhaps she really is not the Jade of the Frost empire. First off, she was never known to have dated anyone and her principles in life would not allow her to do that in public.' Zale thought again.
He watched as the kiss lasted longer than thirty seconds before they pulled apart and she giggled again.
Hearing her giggle brought back his confusion again and he was right back at where he started before. On the crossroad of his thoughts.
'Okay then, if I can just see her face clearly and her eyes, then I may be able to confirm for reals if she is who she really is or just a double version of herself in life.'
With that, he was determined to figure out what he needs to find out. At this point, Jade laughed again when Xander whispered something into her rears and she lightly smacked him on the arm before turning her face away to the side and her eyes finally met with him.
Due to all her training, when she turned her head to the side and her eyes caught sight of Zale, she did not show any sign of shock that Zale was expecting her to show.
Instead, with her giggling face, she let her gaze remain on him for like three seconds before looking elsewhere and laughing at Xander's incessant jokes.
It truly was a magnificent moment for her but she needed her cover to remain.
She had let him look at her for those three minutes without fidgeting one bit and smiling like she was the most carefree person in the world, to allow him to ascertain that she was not the one.
In actual truth, even as she had been thoroughly trained, she would have flopped a bit and even though it was for a nanosecond, she would have shown surprise but she didn't and that was because she had seen him before time.
Immediately they walked into the hotel, she caught sight of him where she was seated and was shocked for a second there. By then, he had not noticed her so she was free from being caught.
She was trained to learn to scan her environment on entry into a place no matter what and to do it at a glance to always be on the safe side.
That way she could discern the enemy's position and people stationed to trail you without difficulty.
Due to this fact, Jade could better compose herself and acted or did the things, he would not expect of her person. The only problem was she not noticing he had heard her laugh in public before.
So when he gazed upon her eyes and saw those hazel brown eyes, he looked shocked rather than happy.
They were definitely not what he was expecting but notwithstanding, he wanted to see if all she did was an act and he stood up from his seat and made his way to where they were.
All through Jade smiled and waited for Xander and when they were ready to go to their room, Zale suddenly showed up, blocking their path. They had been so engrossed in their talk that they failed to notice him.
And honestly, both parties had noticed in from their own different views. Both did not want anything to do with him and was not aware that the other person knew him.
So they feigned being engrossed in the discussion whereas they monitored him.
"Afternoon, Mr Warner," Zale greeted the moment he reached them.
Xander stopped talking to Jade and looked at him with a cold gleam, dangerous eyes and a corner of a smile that felt out of this word. A perfect contrast to what his eyes portrayed.
It was as though he was indirectly warning him to stay off Jade. He had been noticing how Zale fixed his eyes on his beloved all these while and honestly that had offended him.
He felt that perhaps Zale did not know who Jade was with and was eyeing her from afar due to her beauty and now he wanted to challenge him to the woman he loved.
His primal male instincts already kicked in and his dragon had begun to feel irritable at the presence of another male species.
Both he and his dragon did not like him one bit and if he was a threat to Xander having Jade, Xander was ready to break all hell and let it loose on Zale.
"Afternoon, Anders."
Zale smiled sweetly at him before darting his gaze to the side to look at Jade.
Even though he had his gaze on Xander before, he was secretly observing Jade see if she was fidgeting or something to give her acting away but he found none and so he decided to confront her straight up.
"Hello, Miss…?"
"None of your business her name, Anders. State what you want and excuse us. My girlfriend and I have somewhere important to be at this time."
"Ah." His smile broadened, revealing a part of his teeth. "I never meant to offend the great Xander," Zale corrected quickly.
"Good."
