Chapter 269
CHAPTER 260
By the time Xander finished kissing her, she was out of breath and her face was flushed.
“That is for doubting me. Do you think I would put you in danger, Jade? Tsk seems like I haven’t placed this into your mind that you are mine, well enough.”
She did not know how to answer him at that moment. Yes, she was worried but not like that.
At least if there was anything she knew and was sure of, then it was the fact that he would not harm her. He was too much in love to be able to do that.
“So how do you want me to prove it to you and sink it into your head?” Although he asked her a question, Xander did not give her time to answer it before his lips found their way close to her mouth again.
Unlike last time, she welcomed it but this time around, she pulled back. He raised his eyebrow at her, hoping for an explanation for why she rejected him.
“I believe you. You would not harm me neither would you let any hurt come to me. So no need to imbibe it in my skull.”
.....
“I see. You should just say you want to avoid my sweet kisses,” Xander pushed on.
“I could say the same for you. You are looking for ways to kiss me, aren’t you?”
“You got that right. I am not denying it one bit. I love kissing my tigress.”
“At this point, you are going to awaken the mate bond while we are in enemy territory.”
“Not bad. I can always relieve anywhere and at any place.” She really felt like face-palming herself.
How could he be so naughty in the face of danger?
Noticing her distraction, he quickly leaned in and stole a kiss from her before pulling back and smiling mischievously.
“You really have got the nerve.”
“Yes. You can deal with me later. I just couldn’t help it.”
Jade rolled her eyes at him before letting him go. She was about to get up when he held her back down. “What is it? We cannot lie down here and wait to be spotted.”
“We won’t.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“The invisibility spell.”
“I know, Xan. What I meant was, you and I do not intend on spending our entire day here.”
“Nope.”
“Good.” She tried again but he would not budge. “Xander.” He silenced her with another kiss.
This was beginning to get old and Jade more than anything wanted and needed to leave that spot. Who knows what could happen next?
She planned on entering the place and finding out what she could, not to spend it with him, kissing.
“Xander.”
“Anyways, my question, what the hell are you doing here, Jade and how did you leave the mansion?”
“So many questions. Which do you want me to answer first?”
“All Jade.”
No longer was his face looking mischievous and playful. He was serious now.
Although that should have been the first thing he asked her when he met her, he just was caught off guard with his desires.
“I left. Why? Was I a prisoner?”
“No.” He let out a deep breath while shaking his head. “You are stubborn. You were brought to my mansion for your safety but here you are running head in.”
“Yes. Glad you know I am stubborn.”
“Sigh, you are one of a kind. Anyways, here is not the right place to have such conversations.”
She did not get to have a say on the matter and the next things he knew, they disappeared only to reappear in the sky.
“Aahh...”
He silenced her again with a kiss. She did not respond like every other time and just had her eyes widened in panic.
Yes, it was not the first time she was flying but seriously, this felt so terrifying. Perhaps it was the no-warning and all, but she could not help wanting to scream.
Good thing he thought ahead and kissed her. Her eyes remained open as her body stiffened. They were standing at a far height with her only support being a hand around her waist.
“Relax yourself. You won’t fall. At least now you can be as loud as you want and we do not have to bother about Zale finding us.”
She nodded her head. No longer was his kiss on her mind. Rather, she looked around, making sure of the height they were in.
“Whoa!”
“Yes dear. Now, please answer me. How did you leave, Jade?”
She looked down again and gulped before looking back up and facing him. “Why do I feel like this was a trap by you. If I do bnot answer your question satisfactorily, would you threaten me with this height?”
He did not speak instantly but she noticed the flash of a sting of pain etched deep in his eyes. As quickly as it came, it went away and he was back to himself. “Do you think I would torture you with that/ That is only for Zale and his father. I would torture them beyond words if I have to but it is not for my mate.”
“I see.”
“Yes. So please answer me, Jade.”
“Fine. I snuck out hiding in one of the cars that left the mansion. Then I found my way to moon crest.”
“So ypu have been gone all morning? I see. You sure need some whipping.”
“And who is going to do the honours, might I ask?”
“Me of course. You are disobedient. How were you supposed to get back if anything had happened? Who would even know that they had you?”
She kept quiet and just waited for him to continue speaking.
“Your actions were careless, Jade.”
“It may have been, but do not forget who I am. Risks, I welcome them. Besides, I cannot sit back and wait for news from you guys when I can scout myself.”
He heaved out an exasperated sigh. ‘What am I going to do with her?’
“You better not be thinking about what to do with me, Xander.”
