Chapter 275 Camp Problem
BANG!
The crocodile\'s body fell back into the lake as Arthur landed on its head.
Right after that, more roots appeared, wrapping around its body like a snake and binding it tightly.
Although it wanted to move, it finally realized how difficult it was.
Each root was really harder than the roots in this forest, even cutting one was very difficult, let alone there being so many.
After that, Arthur jumped again and landed right in front of its face.
Its mouth was also wrapped around by the roots, so it couldn\'t open its mouth to roar, only able to make a small sound.
There was disbelief in its eyes as it stared at Arthur, as if it wondered how it had lost to such a small creature.
"Well, although you don\'t have intelligence yet, your level of consciousness is really strong," Arthur said.
What he meant was a certain kind of feeling that made one know what he was like and what his role was in this world.
Some humans with low IQs might not have that crocodile-like level of consciousness.
"Of course, as a mortal, to be able to grow to that point, you must have unique blood, something that other crocodiles don\'t have," Arthur continued.
The crocodile seemed to be listening to what he was saying. Although it didn\'t really understand, but its instinct felt like it was hearing something good about itself.
"If you want a future you never imagined, just calm down and let me help you!"
Arthur then placed his palm on the crocodile\'s face.
Because this beast was too big and strong, so his magic that could tame beasts could not easily do so even though he was stronger than when he tamed his tigers and harpies.
He needed to be careful and of course he also needed the cooperation of the crocodile.
Fortunately this was not something he had never done.
The crocodile followed what he said, not trying to move again.
The factor why it was easily submissive was naturally due to his strength.
After the shock of being defeated and then gaining his hospitality, the crocodile became even more curious about him.
Slowly, Arthur sent his magic energy into the crocodile\'s head. It served to tame it.
And he also sent information that was a suitable spell for the crocodile.
Although it was something difficult, but this time he only sent information to one brain, so he could do it directly without some additional help like he had done to his tigers and harpies.
Once that was done, the crocodile closed its eyes, looking like it was digesting the things that entered its head.
Its expression showed confusion and that became clearer with time.
Whoosh!
Isabel jumped up and landed beside Arthur.
"Is it done?" she asked him.
Arthur nodded, then he released a green light that instantly enveloped the crocodile\'s entire body while the roots disappeared instantly.
Slowly, the wounds on its body began to heal.
When all the wounds disappeared, the crocodile opened its eyes again.
This time, there was a different light in its eyes as it looked at Arthur. It was no longer an unfamiliar gaze, but a gaze as if they had been familiar for a long time.
Arthur smiled as he saw that. He patted its head a few times and said, "You stay here, keep practicing until you master the spell I gave you."
The crocodile nodded in response, a sight that amazed Rose and the others.
First it was indeed a creature worthy of being called a monster due to its overly large size. Plus, when they saw it for the first time, they thought it had an attitude like it was the ruler, not going to bow down to anyone.
However, to Arthur, it bowed as if he was its father.
"By the way..." Arthur looked at Rose and the mercenaries.
"You can set up camp over there." He pointed to a slightly open area right beside the lake.
Because of Arthur\'s presence, no one felt worried anymore.
Ryan and the others quickly set up the camps.
They were obviously very familiar with it as each of them could set up camp in under three minutes.
Each camp even looked very neat.
"Now, you can rest first, make sure you get a good night\'s sleep so you won\'t be disturbed by drowsiness tomorrow," Arthur said after the camps were set up.
The five mercenaries then divided two tents for them, leaving the other three.
With the giant crocodile guarding them, no one had to worry about security.
Actually, they did look tired.
On the other hand, Rose approached one of the camps.
She didn\'t enter it right away, but looked at Arthur and Isabel.
"Boss, madam, I\'d like to ask permission to sleep, good night," she told them.
Isabel waved to her in response.
After Rose entered one of the camps, Isabel looked at Jade, "you sleep there!"
She pointed at another camp that was not yet in use.
However, it made Jade hesitate because if she used that camp, it meant that only one camp was left, then what about Arthur and Isabel?
"Boss, I can be with her!" Jade finally replied while staring at Rose\'s camp.
She thought that was the way it should be. She was with Rose while each of the remaining two camps would be used by Arthur and Isabel.
However, Isabel still insisted on her words.
"Just do as I say," she said, waving her hand at Jade, telling her to enter the camp immediately.
Jade who was used to living by obeying orders finally did as she said.
She entered the camp in a hurry.
Of course, there was still one confused person.
Who else if not Arthur.
To be honest he also wanted to rest, sleep until morning, so that one remaining camp left him unsure of what was going on here.
He wondered what his aunt wanted. Was she not planning on sleeping or did she want him to stay out all night?
The latter seemed too cruel, he couldn\'t believe his aunt would do that.
While he was still wondering, the woman suddenly grabbed his hand.
"Come on," she said with a faint smile that could be said to be so charming that it was not in the sky that it seemed to dim.
