Chapter 694 - The Most Precious

Chapter 694: The Most Precious

Qin Feng smirked as if nothing had happened. “Don’t worry. Just a rare beast.”

“Alright, nudge me whenever you need my help.”

“Okay!”

Qin Feng hung up. He decided against telling Regent Tung about Kounsat’s death.

Kounsat was a far more difficult opponent than Obol. Tung Yang would think too much if he knew Qin Feng faced little resistance in killing Kounsat.

The regent would probably be upset and doubt his own ability.

Besides...

Qin Feng raised his hand and a golden chain appeared in front of his eye. There were a total of twelve pieces of spatial equipment hanging on it.

Each of the spatial equipment was at least one hundred meters cubic in size. In it stored the materials Kounsat had been collecting his entire life. It would not be difficult to imagine how lucrative the total loots were in twelve of them. More importantly, since Kounsat was a Dark Coalition member, his wealth was off the record. His entire asset was stored in the form of power credits.

In short, Qin Feng had just inherited the entire fortune that belonged to an A-tier ability user, which was worth at least a few tens of trillions.

However, Qin Feng was more interested in the S-tier puppet.

He lifted the robe covering the puppet’s face.

‘It’s him, the God of Carnage!’

This person was an infamous S-tier around Western America. Even his descendants had substantial influence in the alliance over there. No wonder Kounsat was always on the wanted list.

Though the God of Carnage was only a corpse now, S-tier aptitude users unquestionably still possessed a very strong physique. There were even rumors saying that their bodies would not decay for centuries.

Qin Feng snorted at those baseless tales. It had only been two hundred years since the first rift occurred. How could people possibly know that the body would still be intact after centuries?

‘Luckily Kounsat did not introduce ptomaine to this corpse. Otherwise, I would not be taking it.’

Qin Feng used his consciousness to scan the interior of the spatial equipment and almost vomited.

Kounsat was sick. His spatial equipment was mostly occupied by corpses and numerous kinds of poisons or unknown disgusting liquids. Only a small fraction of the space was used to house beast materials.

Qin Feng withheld his revulsion and pulled out a coffin from one of the storages. He commanded the S-tier corpse to lie down in the coffin and put it right back into the same spatial equipment.

He then placed the entire chain into his pocket.

Because of Kounsat’s sudden visit, Qin Feng’s mind was now brought onto another person.

‘What a cunning guy this Obol is. No matter how my fight with Kounsat had turned out, he did not lose anything.’

‘No matter what, B-tiers like me would still be at a disadvantage among the A-tiers.’

‘If that’s so...’

Qin Feng gave it some thought and then placed several materials into the Magical Tesseract. He made two robes similar to that of Kounsat’s, then passed one to Bai Li and wore the other one.

“What are you doing? Are you pretending to be the guy that you have just killed?” Bai Li looked at the robe peculiarly. She put it on despite not liking the design.

“This is just to avoid trouble. It would be a plus if we can trick Obol.” Qin Feng smiled deviously.

“That would be nice!” Bai Li thought that Qin Feng’s idea was good.

They had the black robes on and were further shrouded by dark ability. An outsider could hardly detect their true strength. Besides, they were also surrounded by numerous dark beasts. No one would suspect that they were actually just B-tiers. Tung Yang, who was perhaps the only one that was aware, also would not expose their disguise if he were to see them.

Time flew by quickly. It had been one whole day since the opening of the rift and the appearance of the Divine Mountain. The beast horde along the coast had gradually subsided. People cared more about the light pillar that had broken through the sky.

Because they knew it was in the direction of the Abyssal Ocean, some aptitude users gave up on investigating.

Of course, not everyone was deterred by the location. A-tiers and B-tiers from all around the world had gathered near the ocean.

The number of users on the Divine Mountain had increased exponentially over time.

Qin Feng belonged to that group that was too afraid to come in his past life.

Moreover, most of the information he gathered then were stories posted by others on the battle net. God knew how true those stories were.

Besides, the news was quickly overshadowed by other major events later on. To Qin Feng, it was just another bizarre incident in this world that had nothing to do with him.

Things changed drastically in this present life. The Divine Mountain had everything to do with Qin Feng now.

Currently, there were about two hundred horrendous beasts around Qin Feng. Five of them were beast emperors, eighty were beast kings, and the rest were beast generals.

This number of beast generals and beast kings could hardly be found in other locations. This was the Divine Mountain, where legends were destined to be born.

Beasts evolved continuously on this holy land. That was why rare breeds like generals, kings, or even emperors were relatively common here

“It’s at my limit. But I think this amount will do.” Qin Feng had maximized his conscious power usage. He retained 10% of it as a precautionary measure. Furthermore, he could always replenish his lost conscious power through his Absorption Ability.

Commanding these many beasts at once was indeed taxing. It was hard to blame Kounsat for using only five B-tier beasts as puppets despite being an A-tier. It must have taken a toll on him to manipulate an S-tier corpse. Kounsat even lacked Qin Feng’s ability to recover on the go.

With this many bodyguards, Qin Feng could explore the mountain fearlessly now.

Actually, Qin Feng had already greatly altered the beast demographic of this mountain. Because of his excessive hunting, a lot of beasts had been wiped off from the mountain surface. That had lessened a lot of burden from other A-tiers.

With an easier and larger space to operate, the A-tiers cleaned up the mountain at a quicker rate too. Hence, the number of beasts dropped at an even more significant rate. The resources of the mountain were depleted rapidly in the hands of the A-tiers.

Though Qin Feng knew what was happening, he could not do anything to stop it. He could not kill all the A-tiers that had entered the mountain.

The only thing that he should do now was to approach the center of the mountain as fast as possible. He knew that the best treasure was laid there.

The nearer he got to the center, the stronger he could sense a pure form of energy. The temperature around him was getting higher too.

Finally, he came out from the forest and reached the center peak of the Divine Mountain. There was a natural giant pit there.

The structure was not apparent from afar.

Miraculously, the pit was filled with golden sand.

‘Glittering Gold Sand!’

Qin Feng could barely hold down his excitement seeing the sand.

This precious item was being passed down generation after generation by some ancient families.

Qin Feng remembered that a small bottle of this gold sand was auctioned after the battle at the Divine Mountain ended. Its value bloated to 1 trillion and yet numerous C-tier families were wrestling for it at all cost.
