Chapter 316 He's Scum
The gun missed its target, but the noise was more than enough to cause a fuss in the hospital. The staff and citizens there weren't used to dealing with such commotions very dear.
"GET OUT!" Lena snarled, cocking the gun a second time. The look in her eyes told the other that the next shot wouldn't miss. If the first even missed the first time.
Collecting himself, the man cleared his throat, glancing between the devil princess and the man pinned under her.
"I understand. If you wish to talk with you me, I think that you know where you can find me. I apologize again that things couldn't be worked differently." The man offered a small nod of his head before walking away.
The princess didn't even relax once he was out of sight. Her small body trembled atop Julian as she struggled to regain her breath. She forgot how hard anger could make it to recollect herself."
"Lena, it's okay now. You know that you can let him up." Samuel tried this time. Her fiancé too stiff and uncertain of the situation to react chose now to try and reach out to the princess.
"Out," Lena repeated. A calmer tone of voice but one that held just as much anger as her previous sentence. She didn't even bother looking at Samuel as she gave the directive."
"Lena." Samuel tried once again. Not daring to move but determined to at least try and get her attention.
The moment her eyes landed on him, however, he could feel a cold chill sweep over his body. The expression on her face was unlike anything that he'd seen before.
He'd seen Lena angry on several occasions. The most vivid is the ordeal that Jovani put them through. This look on her face was the first that he'd seen yet.
Her eyes blazed with a red-hot fury that threatened to consume anyone that tried to stand in her way. Almost in a humanistic way. The bright red on her face from her barely contained anger only accentuated this.
"Out." The princess repeated, her voice raising an octave here as she demanded everyone in the room to obey. The calmness was almost scarier than her anger from moments before.
Samuel opened his mouth to try and coax her again until she pointed the gun at him. He sucked in an apprehensive breath when her finger touched the trigger.
"Did you not hear me the first two times?" Lena's voice came out low and rough leaving no room for argument.
Julian remained as still as possible even though the gun was no longer pointed at him. He could easily move the princess off if he wanted. However, that required more skill and speed than he possessed. His face still stung from where she had smacked him with the gun.
Samuel bit his bottom lip, it was hard to admit that he felt something akin to fear looking at the princess in her current state. How she could easily pull a gun on him despite knowing who he was.
He searched her eyes for any sign that the action was some kind of joke but couldn't find what he was looking for.
"All right." He conceded when it became clear that she wasn't going to remove the gun from his direction. The anger or recollection of what she was doing didn't even reflect in her eyes.
only burning out hatred.
Samuel made a nudge for the nurses to leave the room ahead of him. Both of them couldn't wait to be out of the room and away from the gun-wielding mariposa.
People had begun to crowd around outside of the hospital room until they were requested to leave the space. It wasn't safe for normal people to be around. The situation would explode even further if anyone happened to get shot.
Despite their fear of gunshots, they were still foolish enough to gather around to watch and see what was taking place.
Samuel wanted Alonso to go next but the other seemed more apprehensive, forcing the fiancé to leave the room first. The right-hand man was torn on how to move going forward. Jovani wasn't there but he'd been tasked with making sure nothing out of sorts happened.
though this situation was probably not the kind that the other had been referencing.
"Lena you know that's your uncle. Why don't you lay off a bit." Alonso tried to talk with her. The gun didn't scare him as much as causing someone else to get shot. he could handle a little bullet. Wouldn't be the first or last time someone shot him out of anger.
"The other already left so why don't you let him be? He made a mistake but I'm sure that he more than realizes that by now." Lena's eyes took a moment to reach the other but by the small raise of her eyebrow, it was evident she wondered if he meant what he said.
"Alonso, you're talking about matters you know nothing about. I suggest that you keep your mouth shut." Julian even shot him a look that told him it would be better for him to stay quiet and leave.
"You know though that this isn't something that you would normally do under these circumstances." Alonso continued to talk as he made his way toward the door.
"You hardly know what you're talking about. That man who came here is hardly better than scum. The kind of person who doesn't even deserve to exist in this world and my uncle of all people brought him here." Lena glanced back at her uncle. Despite the gun no longer being pointed at him, that didn't mean she still didn't feel the urge to shoot the other.
Julian had crossed the line further than he'd done ever before. This wasn't the kind of thing that could be swept under the rug. No, this was far more serious than an issue of that level.
"You're better off keeping your mouth shut regarding issues that you know nothing about. Get out." Despite her words, Alonso tried to open his mouth again until another shot rang out, striking rather close to his shoulder and narrowly missing hitting the window and shattering.
Alonso didn't flinch but, the princess made the point very clear. In fact, she was being far more generous than normal only due to them being people she knew.
Anyone else would have already been dead by.
