Chapter 212 [Emotional Triggers]

"That… was amazing." Marie said in a long breathless proclamation.

"I… agree. I enjoy it when you and Charlotte get wild." Helix said with a warm smile.

"But I cherish that we feel in love every time we have sex."

Marie blushed before flashing Helix a dazzling smile.

The two were laying on top of a 35-foot rock pillar that was 30-foot in diameter.

"I love you Helix." She whispered while gently touching his face.

"I love you too, Marie." He replied with a warm smile.

"Too bad this thing's been listening to us. It's… creepy." She giggled.

"It's concentration training for not losing my Nightmare's control, even if I'm winded." Helix sighed.

"It's the~best training ever." Marie giggled.

"I know. You didn't hold back." Helix chuckled with a lifeless expression.

"It shows my love." She replied definitively.

He responded with a wry smile, and she stuck out her tongue.

"Okay. Let's get ready." Marie requested.

She stood up, completely naked, and started putting her panties on.

Helix watched the beautiful sight for a minute before standing up, putting on his clothing, and pulling out his peacoat.

While their clothes were on the ground, his peacoat never touched the ground unless he fell.

The Life Silk lining was priceless and irreplaceable.

"Okay. Time to play with our food." Helix sighed while putting in earplugs.

"GOOOOOOOOOOORRRRN!"

A deafening cry washed across the plains, leaving ripples in the air.

"Don't you think that's a bit too loud?" Marie asked.

Helix gave her a slight smile. "Alzerians will never hear it again."

Marie giggled and gave him a mocking smile. "And if they do?"

Helix sighed with a bitter smile. "If they ever hear this sound again, they'll die.

People can't snitch if they're dead, Marie."

Marie giggled in response.

He didn't want to say it, but it was her punishment for his actions.

A massive head with dark green eyes turned around to stare at Helix.

Its scales had been peeled away in various sections from scratching its face.

"You did too good." Marie commented with a frown.

"It's a bad thing?" Helix asked in confusion.

"Looking at this makes me think you weren't paying attention to love-making at all." She replied with a playful smile.

Helix gave her a lifeless expression.

"Didn't it creep you out making this thing scratch its face while having sex?" Marie asked.

"It did. But I wasn't testing my ability to directly control it with my thoughts." Helix sighed.

Her eyes widened and gave him a quizzical expression.

"You weren't?" She asked.

Helix shook his head.

"No. I created thought triggers." He replied with a slight smile.

"The scales removed below its left eye were triggered by the thought [I love you].

That's why its face is bleeding"

Marie's eyes widened in bewilderment, and her heart took a spear shot.

"The area below its ear was triggered by the thought [this feels good]." Helix continued with a charming smile.

"As you can see, it's equally thrashed."

Marie developed a dazzling smile and hugged Helix.

"That's so cute!" She screamed.

Helix hugged her back with emotional passion.

"I picked emotional topics so I could think commands like—"

The Lagrock heard the battle cry of the soldiers and judged them to be a mortal threat.

It couldn't kill the annoying ants in front of it if more people started attacking.

So the monster turned his head away from Helix and Charlotte to stare at the troops.

General Masov's face instantly paled upon sight, and his soldiers shook with fear.

The Lagrock took a deep breath with a puffed-out chest.

It was unnatural for Helix to call for Riley to protect the soldiers [before] it intended to attack them.

"Riley! Protect the soldiers!" Helix screamed.

"Wait for it!" Helix ordered.

In the heat of the moment, he masterfully hid the small inconsistencies in the panic.

Riley turned around fifty meters away from the troops.

"[Wind Wall]!" Riley screamed.

"Now!" Helix yelled under his breath.

Huge gusting winds tore through the earth at a lightning pace.

Massive boulders were ripped from the earth and shot across the battlefield.

A massive wind wall spanning fifty meters spread out in front of the troops.

It was milky white like a tornado, but it was created in a straight line.

"[It only needs to make fucking point]!" Helix whispered while gritting his teeth.

"[Fireball]!" Charlotte whispered under her breath.

"CAAAAAN!"

The Lagrock shot a massive Fireball shot out of the Lagrock's mouth.

The entire interaction took a matter of seconds.

However, it looked perfectly natural.

When it hit the [Wind Wall], Helix grinned with delight.

He knew the soldiers were safe because he had witnessed the same scene dozens of times.

Marie giggled and gave him a mocking expression.

"Those sound like normal orders, silly."

Helix chuckled and gave her a slight smile.

"No. The trigger is [it only has to make a fucking point]."

Marie's eyes widened in surprise.

"I can't control this Lagrock through thoughts alone." Helix explained.

"I can only order it generally, and it can't look unnatural."

Marie tilted her head in confusion, but Helix continued.

"The soldiers will let out a battle cry, and that will [trigger] the Lagrock to look at them mid-fight." He clarified with an evil smile.

"Oh. So the message is that it's powerful enough to ignore its enemies and attack potential threats?" Marie asked.

"Exactly." Helix affirmed with a wicked grin.

"We don't know when that will happen.

So when the battle cry happens, I'll yell that they're idiots and order Riley, triggering the potential attack order.

The illusion will fight on its own, and Charlotte's job is to align [Fireball] perfectly with its breath with a power that suits it."

Marie's eyes widened in shock.

"We now know that [Conditional Nightmare Fusion] allows us to manipulate our spells to look natural." Helix laughed with madness in our eyes.

"Charlotte and I learned during our training that the illusion can also [modify] the spells slightly.

After all, it needs to manipulate them to make them look natural, right?

The spell needs only enough spirit particles and the right spell to support the operation.

It's no longer a mystery why the Mad Queen would use this [Nightmare]."

Marie's eyes lit up in bewilderment, but a smile formed on her face.

"That makes things even easier!" She cried.

Helix gave her a warm smile but showed concern.

"Yes. We also know it can modify them slightly.

So long as the intention and the spell-casting align, it will work.

So the emotional triggers allow for minor modifications mid-battle.

Those are the triggers I'm creating in the conditional logic, so I don't have to order the Lagrock.

I only have to think naturally with emotions helping to guide the decisions."

Marie blinked twice with a blank expression.

"That's… amazing. But… I feel bad. You'll be holding this entire battle on your shoulders." She whispered nervously.

"Thank you for the compliment, but [you] will be the person holding up this entire operation." Helix replied with a concerned smile.

Marie cocked her head in confusion again.

"How so?"

Helix chuckled and gave her an apologetic smile.

"Since I can't control every output with orders, you all need to align your spell output to match the intention of the spell constantly." Helix mentioned with a wry smile.

"That's worse for you since you'll need to chase the Lagrock and cast two [Sink] spells for every step in intervals."

Marie chuckled bitterly, but her eyes held resolve.
