Chapter 171 Popcorn Would Do
Wae rolls his eyes and gets to his feet, muttering under his breath. "If it isn\'t done by you, it isn\'t done well."
Yet again, he gets to his feet, repeats the same motion, and clears his throat to speak.
\'Is this dude a robot?\'
[He\'s more monotonous than I am, host]
HTC mocks with a laughing emoji.
"My lord, we don\'t seem to understand what you mean by that. Did we offend you in some way?"
Mich hiccups at the thought of that being the problem, shaking his head in fear, he looks away to calm his nerves.
[Charm+25]
Hisha was momentarily on cloud nine, given the fact that Mich was a walking charm point doubler for him.
\'I should visit him more.\' Hisha thought with a devilish smirk.
Nodding his head in understanding, he hoped to get the information he needed and that includes the remaining two who had not spoken and given all but grunts, bows, nods, and generic greetings as did they rest when they met up with him during the tournament since he had met with them.
\'I need the Ogre and Elf tribal chiefs to speak goddamnit!\'
He stares at the two, hoping they could speak even if it was the Elf tribal chief to speak as he could almost guess that the Ogre couldn\'t.
Needing answers from each one of them, he hopes they could formally introduce and state their concerns about their tribe.
"It\'s simple, I have visited a few of your territories and it is disheartening to know you all had one trial or the other you hid from me." Hisha feigns concern as he takes a glance at all.
Going down to the main discussion, he points to every one of them, "I want you to state your woes and troubles if any, and possible grudges–you can be anonymous about it if you wish."
Vanas chuckles at the suggestion, raising his hand to chip in his thoughts.
Nodding in approval, Vanas replies. "My lord, would it be proper to share our weaknesses with those peasants listening to us below?"
\'Peasants? The se rvants?\'
Hisha looks below at the servants working diligently with the cleanup work.
\'He got some nerve.\' Hisha hisses in his thoughts.
[He is a Count with his rank being the next closest to the dragon tribal chief, it\'s only natural he feels a sense of pride at his power scale]
\'Definitely needs a blood contract.\'
Looking back at the rest, Hisha forces a smile, complying with the suggestion. "It would be a hindrance to you all, am I right?"
They inadvertently nod their heads, with Aster adding his thoughts on the issue. "We can\'t be too sure who is our enemy or friend."
Hisha snaps his fingers, agreeing with what was said.
He pretends to agree until he gives his demand. "I will take us somewhere a lot more private than this, but you will have to do as I instruct and ask..."
A gasp and cold sweats were trailing down their foreheads at the thought of this causing a setback to them if they refuse or accept.
Accepting would put them in a tight fix–one in which they can\'t refuse, but it also meant if they decline they could also show they had something to hide and are unwilling to go through with it.
They all glare at Vanas who felt a sense of guilt for blabbering in such a manner.
With heavy hearts, they all nod their head in agreement and let out a sigh.
With a snap of his finger, they are teleported to Hisha\'s throne hall.
They all drop with a thud to the floor.
Hisha walks up the dias and to his throne, sitting cross-legged whilst staring down at them to get to their feet.
"My apologies my esteemed tribal chiefs," Hisha begins with a deadpan face but internally whooping in a little victory he had achieved in making a fool out of them.
"I had thought that it was much faster and more effective to just appear here in the blink of an eye." Hisha continues in hopes of coming off as ignorant of his true actions.
Vanas dusts his body and lets out a low chuckle. Leaning to his side and at Draegul, he needed to vent out his frustration.
"If I didn\'t know better, I would have almost bought that bullshit our lord is saying." He hisses in a whisper.
Bam!
Draegul gives an uppercut, causing Vanas to fly several feet away from him.
"Annoying little vermin!" He snarls as his eyes glow with burning distaste at being humiliated just like the rest.
There was no way they didn\'t know Hisha had done that on purpose.
It had been a norm to use the portal, but the reason for his use of teleportation was a little reminder of their place, and all because of Vanas\' little blabbermouth.
Vanas got to his feet, wiping the blood off his nose and licking his hand. He let out a peal of maniacal laughter.
"That was some punch, Draegul." He taunts and walks up to him.
[Host, aren\'t you going to interfere?]
\'Why would I do that?\' Hisha replies with a devious grin.
The fact that they were turning on one another was just the little he had wished to witness at least once in his lifetime.
They had been so in sync with one another when plotting against him that he had thought it remotely possible to witness this great hour.
[Why do I feel you enjoyed violence in your past life?]
\'I was sort of a jerk with little care for the world back then, don\'t have high hopes for me.\' Hisha counters.
He was beyond ordinary and lonely and couldn\'t even stomach a fight from his colleagues at the time. He couldn\'t understand why people would pull out their phones and watch a fight while shouting in excitement.
The scenes he had witnessed after dulling out his emotions had made him immune and slightly cynical and a sadist.
Currently, he felt nothing more than joy seeing them throw some fists at each other.
Leaning his head to the side and resting his cheeks on his palm, he hoped for more action than just a punch.
\'I wish I had some popcorn, it would have completed the movie experience.\'
[Definitely not the same Hisha that had appeared at first]
\'Of course, and I\'m loving this.\' Hisha affirms with a smirk as his eyes involuntarily flicker and returns to their normal state.
"How long can they take this?" He mutters to himself.
