Chapter 499 Her 1st Act
At the same time, the other members of the cast heard the news and Qi Fuyi's decision. Fang Qian Qian mostly wasn't thrilled about this and looked forward to Andromeda's flop.
It did not take long for everything to get back in order for the shooting and for Andromeda to be dressed for her scene.
Liu Xueyi's eyes came alive when he saw her stepping on stage. She looked breathtaking in her attire, taking careful steps towards the centre where a lone microphone stand stood, drawing attention to itself.
But that wasn't what drew attention.
Rather her radiance made it a wonderful experience as all her eyes remained glued to her person.
Unlike Yu Weilan who tripped coming on stage, Andromeda took careful slow steps, fitting into the scene properly.
Under the bright set lights, Andromeda stood poised at the center of the stage, her heart pounding with anticipation.
Dressed in a stunning black bodycon gown that clung to her every curve and flowed elegantly from her waist down, she exuded a captivating aura.
The flowing fabric trailed behind her like a shadow, adding a touch of drama to her appearance. Her long golden blonde hair cascaded down her back, and her eyes shimmered with resolve.
The audience before her was a sea of faces, eagerly awaiting her performance. Andromeda took a deep breath, steadying herself.
She couldn't afford any missteps; this was her first time stepping onto a professional acting stage, and she was determined to make it memorable.
She approached the microphone with grace, her movements deliberate and confident. As her fingers wrapped around the mic, she lifted it from its stand, the metallic clang resonating through the venue.
Her eyes roamed over the expectant crowd, acknowledging their presence with a warm smile.
As hard as this should have been for her, it seemed easy, having had the privilege of being on stage to address crowd before.
Thanks to her Estrella Naciente's concept and even her Queen of the Fashion World's award, this was but an easy task.
All she had to do was put herself in similar shoes and act out what she was told to do.
"This is brilliant," Director Chao Jin-Ho commented from where he stood behind Director Qi Fuyi.
"The way her acting draws attention, captivating onlookers is something on another level. This is pure natural talent giving how she fit into the scene, one would forget it was all an act and think it as true," he added.
Pride and joy filled Director Qi's heart hearing those words from Director Chao.
"If I do say so myself, I have a knack for spotting talent when I see one. She'll do great with some tutorship and encouragement."
"Exactly. Good one, Qi Fuyi," Director Chao praised.
Once Andromeda had gathered her courage, her lips pulled back, revealing a charming smile at her audience.
"Thank you all for being here tonight," she began, her voice clear and filled with sincerity. "I hope you're enjoying the show so far."
Her smile broadened as the audience responded with enthusiastic applause and encouraging cheers.
Andromeda's confidence swelled, and she knew she was on the right track. With a final glance at Liu Xueyi, who watched her with unwavering support from the side of the stage, she turned her attention back to her performance.
"I dedicate this song to you, my loyal fans."
With that, she kicked off her performance.
As she opened her mouth to sing, the melody flowed from her effortlessly, filling the air with its haunting beauty.
Her voice was a mesmerizing combination of power and grace, drawing the audience into the world of the song.
It was clear that Andromeda was born to be on the stage, her presence captivating every eye in the room.
However, just as she hit the peak of her performance, an unexpected and chilling interruption shattered the moment. An arrow whizzed past her ear, missing her by a hair's breadth.
Gasps rippled through the audience as confusion and fear took hold.
Andromeda's heart raced as she turned her head to locate the source of the arrow.
Her eyes widened in shock when she spotted a figure dressed in all black, charging towards her with alarming speed. Panic gripped her for a moment as she realized the danger she was in.
But before she could react, a powerful force yanked her away from the microphone.
In an instant, she found herself pulled into the protective embrace of someone. His strong arm encircled her waist, and his other hand held a sleek, black pistol with a silencer attached.
His eyes were sharp and focused as he aimed the weapon at the approaching intruder.
Time seemed to stand still for a heartbeat, the tension in the air thickening. The audience had fallen into stunned silence, their eyes fixed on the dramatic scene unfolding before them.
Without hesitation, Liu Xueyi squeezed the trigger. A muffled shot echoed through the theatre, and the intruder's head jerked back violently as the bullet found its mark.
He crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
Almost immediately, an uproar rang out behind them as the audience was thrown into panic.
Andromeda was left trembling in Liu Xueyi's arms, her heart pounding in her chest. The rush of adrenaline coursed through her veins as she realized how close she had come to danger.
Her gaze remained locked on the lifeless intruder, her mind racing with questions.
A couple of seconds passed before she turned he rhead to the side, her gaze locking on her savior.
Her eyes went wide when she realized who it was. For a moment she had forgotten it was a movie and was lost in the moment, acting as though it wasd really happening.
Badum!
Badum!
Her heart beat resounded deep against her ear drums as her gaze remained glued on Liu Xueyi's stunning face.
On the other hand, Liu Xueyi's expression tense with concern as he held her closer.
And when he was sure the noise had reduced enough for her to hear him, he licked his lips and questioned, "Are you okay, Xu Ming?"
Andromeda nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Yes, I'm okay. Thank you for saving me."
