Chapter 221 221 - Maki's Work
Chapter 221 221 - Maki's Work
Ryan looked at Nyx with a confused face, although, he understood exactly what she had said, "You have a really solid point...." he said.
* * *
Ryan wouldn't have his lessons with Ellen today, only the next day. Taking advantage of the fact that he now had a bit of free time, Ryan said goodbye to Alice and Sara and opened a portal to the Moon Palace.
"I needed to talk to Olivia..." he said, as he looked through the portal to the academy. As Ryan stepped through the portal he was surprised by Rin, who was having a tea ceremony in the middle of the palace's main square.
The girl was pouring hot water into a cup, and looking at her husband she said "Welcome back, would you like to sit down?". Ryan nodded and sat down next to the table.
They were both on the raised wooden floor that led down to the two steps that went down to the garden level. The climate in the palace wasn't cold, yet the steam from the drink was rising as if the place was freezing.
"That's strange, isn't it a bit too warm?" he asked.
RIn shook his head in denial, "Try creating an aura of fire and drink it, you'll feel how different this tea tastes."
So Ryan did it. By activating an aura of fire, he had greater resistance to high temperatures. What made that drink strangely tasty and satisfying was that it felt as if his body was being heated from the inside, energizing him.
"In a way, this sensation reminds me of when I consumed one of the pure monster crystals," he said.
Turning her head slightly, she looked interested "So that's what it felt like? I can imagine," she said.
The two of them took a sip of tea and then the girl continued, "To tell you the truth, I feel a similar energy discharge when you fuck my pussy; as if my mana is being compressed inside my chest while a shock passes through my body".
"Meet me tonight, I'll show you that feeling again," he said as he stood up. Ryan walked to the portal, turning back he saw Rin with her face completely flushed, she didn't know how to react, even though the onslaught had started on her account.
'The magical irons have already been transported to the warehouse and mining has begun. So I just need to do some checks on the village,' he concluded.
However, he could never have imagined the progress he would see as soon as he stepped through the portal. The first moment his feet touched the other side of the portal, he was faced with a completely different village from the day before. Aiden and Brigitte, with the help of Pharah and the rest of the women in the village, had carried out an astonishing reorganization in a very short time.
The sun had not yet gone down and they were still working. Looking back, Ryan noticed that they had made a kind of concrete gate on both sides of the crevice, two columns that connected in an extremely beautiful arch. On either side were two gigantic concrete swords that Aiden must have placed for aesthetics.
Now there was also a cobblestone path that led along the greenish ground to the entrance of the village. From a distance, it was already possible to see Ryan's main house and the building where he envisioned a meeting center.
A concrete wall hidden by trees defended the village entrance, on which was written "Welcome to Sunset Village" in Elvish and in the common human language of the first world. A sign that the conversations between the maids and Maki the elf were having an effect.
When Ryan crossed the archway, he could see that the houses were now illuminated by light crystals, and that the sanitation system had been ordered. All this made him even more confused as to how the construction had progressed so quickly, but the sound of magic occurring caught his attention and gave him the answer.
While Aiden and Brigitte were tidying up the houses and making the more complex constructions, Toki and Pona were running around working non-stop on projects that they were both able to finish with surprising speed.
In addition to these four artisans, there was also the care of the maids. Most of the Maids in the Silvermoon family were above Rank A, which demonstrated their skills in mana manipulation. With this, they could easily take care of the vegetable garden, lighting and water systems.
This combination of dozens of people willing to work meant that the village began to prosper with surprising speed. And now that the iron ore was about to go on sale, the Silvermoon family could invest even more in the town.
Although Ryan wanted to take a closer look at the finished buildings, he didn't want to get in the way of the girls' work. So he just went over to where Maki was working.
"From what I've been told, she's around here," he said aloud, thinking.
Walking through the village, Ryan made his way under the shadows of the trees until he approached a small wooden house. Knocking twice on the door, he heard the sound of angry footsteps running towards the door.
"I told you not to bother me while I'm working!" shouted the elf, who was surprised by Ryan's presence when she opened the door.
The girl's face turned red with embarrassment at the way she had behaved. Surprised, Ryan scratched the back of his head and said, "I'm sorry".
Maki was even more ashamed, and she quickly bowed to her master "No! This is my mistake!" she said, her voice trembling.
Ryan knelt down and put his hand on the girl's shoulder, "Don't worry, now get up. We need to talk.
In the village of Sunset there was an extremely serious problem going on. Although things were flowing well, there was a gigantic language barrier between the two groups that were living there. The barrier was not only cultural but also of worlds.
With this in mind, Maki set to work on a way to connect these two worlds. She was working on a dictionary between the two languages in order to help people understand the important signs and information in the village.
<Maki didn't seem like such an intelligent person>
'That was a bit rude, you naughty succubus'
<Yes! Call me naughty, master!>
'Oh, I didn't know you had this fetish'
<Hehe... Neither did I... We can test it out in bed later>
Ryan nodded to Nyx, leaving Maki confused as to what was going on.
With a confused face she said, "So, do you have any suggestions as to how we can resolve the communication?"
Crossing his arms, he thought for a while, there were a few ways to break down language barriers through magic. Ryan knew that the guild used a high-level magic circle for its meetings. The guild's magic meant that people could better hear the voice of translators, thus transmitting the voice of the translator instead of the voice of the person giving the presentation. Perhaps performing magic in this style would be interesting.
Opening his eyes wide, he remembered something he had read when he first started working with dwarf boxes. Quickly, Ryan opened his inventory and slid his fingers over to an orange book that contained the information he needed.
"Here!" he said, "Speech translator using rune magic, we can use this."
In the version the dwarves used, that magic could only listen to speech and translate words into another language. But if they combined this theory with the guild's translation magic, it might be possible to create a more effective system of communication between the two groups.
Possibilities quickly began to flow through Ryan's eyes, it was as if he was daydreaming about the possibility of performing this magic. But aware of the challenges, he would need help.
"Olivia," he said aloud.
The maki elf lowered her ears in doubt, with a face that asked what he was talking about. He nodded and said, "I'll get one of my wives to work with you, she'll know what to do," he said.
'Olivia was working on translating the demonic texts, I just need to pass on the information about how the dwarf box works and about the guild's magic circle,' he thought.
<'But Olivia isn't an engineer, she won't know how to use the box properly.
Ryan slapped himself in the face when he realized this, but then Lux gave an answer that solved the problem.
- We just need to get someone who can handle artifacts well, like Arthemis -
The two of them would fulfill the role well, while Olivia would deal with the magic part, Arthemis would master the use of the dwarf boxes with ease. Meanwhile, Maki's knowledge of second world languages would be needed to carry out the translation process.
"Okay, I'm confident about that. Maki, this will be your new task. I need my people to understand each other"
