Chapter 382 382. FLOORS

A grunt escaped Noah's mouth as he slowly regained consciousness. He parted his eyelids with a bit of difficulty and when they managed to open properly he felt an ache smash into his senses like a freight train, and he recoiled in pain.

Noticing the bright light illuminating his environment, Noah continued to groan while his focus switched to his soul realm.

A sight no less shocking than beautiful unfolded in his eyes and he immediately fell into marvel.

His soul island had expanded, so much so that from standing in the center he couldn't see its edges. His soul core had also become bigger and the multicolored lights that swirled around it had grown more numerous and brighter.

In a normal situation, Noah would have been glad about the sudden buff, but currently, he wasn't. And why was that?

Well because his island had expanded, but it had paid the price in sturdiness.

He swore if he stumped his foot too hard he would bring everything crashing, and that reality angered him.

He wanted to blame Riveta, but he couldn't. He had been too focused on the part of the tea's enlightenment that he had not seen past the rapid expansion of his island and the difficulties it would bring.

He now had a fragile mental state. Literally.

Returning his focus to the room, Noah swept his gaze on his surroundings and took in the luxurious details.

Firstly the king-sized bed he sat on stood beside a nice big window, allowing clear visuals of the plain below, and Noah had to say it took his breath away.

The plain looked even more beautiful from that sky-scraper height, but he managed to pull his gaze off the greenery that surrounded that building to keep his eyes on the room.

Painted white and shades of gray, it featured pretty much basic things, only with luxurious aesthetics

Like the mirror before a table had its edges made out of gold. The chair looked to be made out of an alloy that had yellow lines inscribed in its material.

The rug on the ground looked and felt expensive, and of course, the room smelt heavenly.

Painfully getting up from the bed Noah found his way toward the black door.

Fortunately, it was open, so he could arrive in a passageway. Another series of expensive-looking items, even magical ones unfolded in his eyes.

The blue ceiling of the passageway was adorned with mana stones, and all of which were yellow. From the mana stones came green shining lines. Inscriptions.

The inscriptions seemed to run into the very walls all around him since Noah could sense that he wasn't strong enough to actually break anything his eyes fell on. He even felt stunned to see green mana stones.

The highest quality he had ever gazed at, and it was simply attached to the walls!

Noah soon arrived before a spiral flight of stairs featuring a golden handle and didn't hesitate to walk down the inscribed stairs.

Another long and curved passageway featuring many doors that led into different places unfolded in his eyes, and he didn't even know where to start.

From what he had seen from the outside, the tower would be around ninety stories. He honestly didn't understand why someone would need something that large, But he couldn't judge since she was a tier 5 existence.

There were definitely things that were big and capable of killing him there.

A sigh escaped his mouth as he began to wander; lost. He dared not enter any of the many rooms since his instincts continued to ring whenever he tried to.

A particular portion of the tower was so dangerous that Noah sped past it. He could sense the power of the things behind the doors and none of them were tier 3.

Noah walked down his fifteenth flight of stairs and a wide hall unfold in his eyes. Within the room were four large spheres filled with liquid, each containing a different color.

The balls of liquids stood floating at the center of the hall, and below them was a long table and the figure of a certain person stood working.

"You finally arrived. I thought it would take you months," Riveta's voice reached Noah's mind as she floated around the room. There were other materials within it, and he had seen none of them before.

"So you let me wander lost," Noah furrowed his brows while still having his eyes on the room, he had begun to walk deeper into the room.

"You shouldn't cross that line," she suddenly warned and Noah glanced at his feet and noticed a red line about 3 inches in width and circled the room.

Blue inscriptions ran along the line and they intrigued Noah, but he didn't dare cross the line.

"What does it do?" He asked, curious.

"Well these materials are really unstable, only I can survive them as they exploded every few times. You don't want to be caught up in it," She explained finally turning to glance at him.

"You can circle the room however, I left that much space for you," She pointed out, and Noah had no choice but to settle for that much.

His head still hurt, but it remained bearable.

He watched Riveta work in silence, and like she had said the transparent spheres were capable of exploding.

The explosions were usually violent, but Noah couldn't tell how powerful they were since the barrier that existed because of the line kept everything contained.

The ground didn't even shake when the explosion occurred, so he couldn't be too sure.

The sound, however, shattered his eardrums every time.

But he had the idea that most of its power was being locked up by the barrier.

Each time an explosion unfolded, Riveta would have to remake the spheres and their contents.

At some point, he got tired of watching her since he didn't understand anything and decided to explore a bit, coupled with the sounds of the explosions making his headache worse.

He informed her and she allowed it. She even looked glad about his decision.

Noah arrived at a library on the twentieth floor and didn't hesitate to dive into the knowledge they held. Or at least he thought so.
