Chapter 535 535. MASTER
"I understand," Noah responded to the words of elder Ezra as they finished up on some last details. Elder Ezra had been quick to inform the group of their first mission, which would commence in two days.
They were going to attack a specific city in the northeastern region of the nation. According to the well-informed elder, it was a city held together by a certain prominent family that had defected during the beginning times of the war.
Having been a major contributor so far, intel had it that they had deployed a significant amount of their amassed tier 4 cultivators to back up the eleven base about to fall under attack.
One would think that the elves had an edge over the cultivators of the various guilds. But the experts had the element of surprise. The time of their movement remained only known amongst specific individuals.
The deployment of the said experts from the city had left it in a slightly defenseless state. They would utilize that space to take out the city.
Their mission was to wipe out the entire city regardless of the level of the experts. They would be ruthless in carrying out this mission.
After they had done that, certain items would be placed around the regions in order to watch the actions of the elves when they arrived there.
Being the first, it was an easy but crucial one. There would be missions that did not involve killing as simply unleashing one's prowess was not enough to do much.
Due to the city's distance, they would need to set out early, which was why they would begin in two days. Noah believed things would go well. It didn't matter.
"That is all for now," Elder Sarah declared, waving her hand to allow the black table before them disappear. The chairs also disappeared.
The experts fell silent. Only Noah and elder Ezra possessing the confidence to talk.
"We shall get going now," The elder announced, pleased about the outcome of the meeting of sorts.
Noah nodded and watched the building return to its former layout and he and the elder stepped out of the door.
The enclosed area appeared in his sight for the third time that day, and the elder led him out of it. The discussion had been two hours long.
Noah remained silent while they left the area. The cracking clouds appeared all around him at that point and he relied on elder Ezra to clear them.
Less than two-hundred meters from the area, Noah's eyes sharpened and his focus shot to the area far before them.
Elder Ezra noticed this and stopped, but a smile blossomed on her face.
"She's finally here," the elder muttered, even if Noah had arrived at the same conclusion.
He unfolded his consciousness even though the weight of the clouds tried to oppress his, nevertheless, he caught sight of a rapidly moving figure and their body emanated a significant amount of killing intent.
"I tried to stop her," a figure beamed before the duo in blinding blue light. Elder Adonis.
His handsome features revealed a helpless expression as he looked onward toward the approaching expert.
"She's gotten strong," Noah muttered to himself. "Very strong."
The intensity of Elder Sarah's presence increased rapidly until a huge portion of the crackling clouds abruptly vanished in a circular form allowing her flying figure appear a few hundred meters before them.
Noah's silver gaze landed on her figure and he couldn't help but shake his head. "You've gotten even more gorgeous," his constantly emotionless voice resounded in the environment. His power managed to suppress the clouds to reach her ears.
He sensed her gaze land on his figure and felt genuine pressure. She had gotten insanely strong in those decades. Her cultivation base already stood at the top of the middle stage. It would seem having stunted growth in the third tier had made her shoot across the stages with ease.
"This is mine to handle," Noah addressed the elders, walking forward.
Elder Sarah remained silent, her figure shining with a soft purple light. Noah could feel her inspect his figure and his movements. Her intent to kill him was also capable of bathing the environment in purple and crimson lights.
"It's been too long master--" His words were cut short by the single cyan line that stretched towards him with intense speeds.
The discharge landed on his figure and unfolded into a violent explosion. One that expanded for many meters in all directions. It shattered the clouds in the area to fill them with intense energy.
The sound of the explosion remained so powerful that even the experts in the blue building felt tremors hit the building and shake it violently. This prompted their attention.
Each one of them exited the building to arrive within the cleared area. Thankfully the power of the explosion remained incapable of affecting the barrier set up, but its mass still covered the area and blinded the experts from seeing what was going on.
At least that was only for a short moment.
The wind suddenly blew and a significant portion of the explosion vanished to reveal Noah's figure calmly standing in the skies.
His clothes had turned to rags, but his figure remained unhurt.
"Master," Noah called out but watched seven more cyan lines stretch towards him in the blink of an eye. All seven discharges struck his figure and another spectacular explosion unfolded in the environment. Its power being seven times more than the first.
Still, a sudden pulling force acted on the expanding mass to suck it into a center. A tornado unfolded in the eyes of all, and a completely fine Noah.
"I've gotten capable of taking a hit," Noah revealed, even if Elder Sarah suddenly vanished from her figure with a powerful bang
The watching experts shook at that speed, as they found their eyes barely capable of seeing anything.
Noah on the other hand watched her arrive before him. She formed a fist as she unleashed the first form, at point-blank.
The results were spectacular. An explosion of sheer force on par with proper spells barreled out in all directions.
The physical strength touched clouds in far regions and those magical objects saw their masses disappearing to give way to that intense power.
Noah boomed across the sky at many times the speed of sound.
The fight moved locations at that point, as Elder Sarah followed chase. She had unleashed half her power in that simple execution but had not felt him turn into a bloody pulp.
Noah revealed an unfeeling smile as he created a wind force that stopped him in his tracks.
Elder Sarah arrived before him again, this time preparing to unleash a kick on his head.
Noah caught the attack with ease, however, but felt that force destroy his clothes and the clouds in the area.
He was naked, but he didn't care.
