Chapter 75 - 75: Ha, the Male Ego
“Cat?” Ling Yun’s mind couldn’t quite grasp the situation. How did they end up talking about a cat?
“To put it simply, Lord got scratched and, feeling indignant, wants to settle the score with that audacious cat.”
Now Ling Yun understood, but…
“Is that necessary? Can’t people coexist peacefully with a cat?”
“As long as our Lord wishes, there’s nothing impossible.”
Ling Yun muttered, “But our Lord isn’t the type to hold grudges.”
Chu Yujiang shook his head with a meaningful sigh. “You’re underestimating a man’s pride. Anyway, it doesn’t matter; you’re still young…”
Before he could finish his sentence, a gust of wind swept in. Chu Yujiang instinctively leaned to the side, narrowly avoiding a powerful punch from Ling Yun. Even the most gentle of men couldn’t help but get angry when provoked.
“Damn! What’s gotten into you?! If you said ‘let’s fight,’ we could have fought…” Ling Yun said, his expression darkened. If he had dodged even a moment later, he might have been disfigured.
Ling Yun looked at him coldly and said, “I’m not young.”

Ha, the male ego…
Meanwhile, Shen Wan and He Huai went on a shopping spree, hopping from clothing stores to high-end handbag boutiques, and even taking a leisurely look at the jewelry displays. They were like two avid shoppers, fully intent on making the most of their credit cards. Shop assistants from more than a dozen stores in the area could practically sense the abundance of wealth in the air.
He Huai had no financial concerns, and Shen Wan didn’t hesitate to use Shen Qian’s card. They were two spendthrifts on a spree. After shopping, they planned to grab a bite to eat. When they passed by a dessert shop, He Huai suddenly stopped, looking like he’d been frozen in place. Shen Wan nudged him, asking, “What’s wrong?”
“I remember!”
Shen Wan, surprised by his sudden enthusiasm, took a step back. He Huai let go of the shopping bags in his hands and gripped her shoulder. “I’ve remembered where I saw you before.”
Shen Wan raised an eyebrow.
“You don’t remember? It was at a place like this dessert shop, and I even gave you my business card…”
“Oh, you’re that third party caught in bed by the legitimate boyfriend. Young Master He, your preferences are truly unique.”
“…” He regretted it. He shouldn’t have said that.
Perhaps to salvage his image in Shen Wan’s eyes, He Huai took her to the prime villa area in the city center.
“What are we doing?” Shen Wan got out of the car and stood still. She was wearing denim shorts. Under the sunlight, her long legs seemed to glow white.
“Follow me.” He Huai led her through the garden and stopped in front of a standalone villa. He knocked on the door. “You little rascals, wake up!”
After a significant wait, the villa’s door was eventually pulled open from within. A groggy teenager, his disheveled hair giving him a rooster-like appearance, met them while rubbing his eyes and letting out a yawn. “Oh, it’s the young boss. What brings you here? Hmm… and you didn’t bring any food. We’re all famished…” He grumbled as he opened the door, walking inside without extending an invitation to He Huai.
He Huai rubbed his nose, feeling that he was not being treated very respectfully as the boss. “Uh, well… Wanwan, shall 1 show you around inside?”
Shen Wan had already guessed what was going on, but since Young Master He was in such a good mood, she decided to give him a little respect.
After the tour, He Huai raised his eyebrows, looking pleased with himself, and asked her, “How do you like it? Not bad, right?”
“You’ve got yourself an esports team.”
“Yes, yes.”
Shen Wan nodded and clapped her hands lightly. “You’ve built such a large operation just for gaming. Truly a jack of all trades when it comes to eating, drinking, and having fun, Young Master He.”
He Huai’s handsome face instantly darkened.
Shen Wan smiled and added, “I’m praising you, you know.”
He Huai quickly regained his composure and he muttered, “That’s more like it…”
