Chapter 1252: Is Li Zhiwei Really Dead? (2)
“Maybe Li Zhiwei knows that even if he was tricked into doing something shameful, someone like Dad would not take responsibility.”
Ye Tianxin nodded when she heard Li QIngcang’s reasoning. “That’s possible. Regardless, Li Zhiwei is already dead. That’s all that matters. That’s one less headache for us. Now that Li Zhiwei has died, does it mean Li Hezheng will not leave the capital for the time being?”
“I suppose he will not leave the country anymore. All right, let’s not talk about this anymore. We have a promotional film today.”
The director of the film was Ye Tianxin’s godfather, Jin Xin.
They were all old friends.
The filming went very smoothly.
After three days, the winter shoot was completed. Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin took a flight back to the capital.
Jin Xin and his production crew went back with them.
Nian Yu Feng had remained in S town for the promotional events. After what happened to Liu Jin, the town was very peaceful.
“Grandma.”
The minute she got home, Ye Tianxin started recounting what she had encountered at S town to Grandma.
“Grandma, I was talking to the staff in charge of promotions in S town. We discussed the possibility of setting up the Jiameng embroidery workshop. She said she will speak to her boss about it.”
Grandma got excited. “Really?”
“Of course! Why would I lie to you?” Ye Tianxin rested her head on Grandma’s arm and grabbed onto it. “Still, I feel sad whenever I think of you having to be away for so long. I cannot bear to part with you.”
Grandma laughed and assured her granddaughter. “Young people like you should go out and realize your dreams. I also want to make better use of my life so it has value. Nowadays, many people are not willing to let their daughters learn embroidery. They find it too hard of a task, but if no one learns embroidery, one day it will become a lost art. If this art vanished in my hands, how am I going to face our ancestors?”
Ye Tianxin linked her arm around Grandma’s. “Grandma, it won’t be lost. Mom and I both can do embroidery.”
“I know you can do embroidery, but I’m afraid your mom has already forgotten how to do it.” Grandma touched Ye Tianxin’s face gently. “Tianxin, you should know that even if you know how to do embroidery, you’ll still forget it if you don’t use it for long. Jiameng embroidery is a fine art. We should let more people know about it. Both you and your mom already have someone who loves you so much. To me, that’s enough. Just enjoy the rest of your life with the one you love. I’m so old already. I just want to fulfill this little wish of mine before I die.”
Ye Tianxin was horrified that Grandma mentioned her imminent death.
“Grandma, don’t say such things. You will live a long life. I want you to live a long life so you can see me give birth to your great-grandchild.”
Grandma chided affectionately, “You’re not even embarrassed saying this.”
The next day was New Year’s Eve.
Ye Tianxin went out early in the morning as she had to take part in the live concert for New Year. It would be held at the National Theater.
Xie Xuning also went out to settle some personal issues now.
Lang Garden was quiet.
Ye Linlang had sent most of the staff home to spend time with their families.
“Mom, we’re the only ones here now. It feels like the old times when we were at Jiameng town.”
Ye Linlang could write beautifully then. She used to write all the new year couplets for the family.
