Chapter 652: His Greatest Fear Seemed To Have Finally Happened
Huo Yao was not interested in social media. Instead, she was leaning against the chair resting her eyes.
Her phone suddenly rang with notifications for text messages. She quickly took her phone and checked it.
It was Fang Ting texting her: [Sis, are you okay?]
Fang Ting added: [It is all my older brother’s fault. Because of him, you ended up getting scolded online.]
Fang Ting continued: [Don’t worry, Sis. My older brother will take care of this. Don’t let those idiots make you feel sad!]
After Huo Yao finished reading the text messages, she replied to Fang Ting quizzically with a question mark. She did not even notice when Fang Ting called her sister.
Fang Ting held her phone as she wondered what Huo Yao meant by sending the question mark. After thinking about it for some time, she concluded that Huo Yao knew nothing about the gossip on social media. Otherwise, Huo Yao would not have reacted this way.
Fang Ting instantly wanted to chop her hands off for texting her.
She immediately replied to Huo Yao: [Oh. Nothing.]
Huo Yao composed a text two seconds after seeing Fang Ting’s reply: [You are obviously hiding something from me.]
Fang Ting went stiff and stopped replying before she continued arguing with the gossip mongers online.
Huo Yao rubbed her phone screen a couple of times when she noticed that Fang Ting did not reply. Eventually, she tapped on her social media application.
She had not turned on any notifications for her social media apps, so she did not get any alerts for related posts and messages.
Shortly after turning on her social media, she received a message indicating that security risks existed in her account and it had been taken offline.
Huo Yao was clueless as to why it happened.
Huo Yao looked at her phone for a while before she signed in again. After entering her password and clicking confirm, she received the same notification.
Huo Xiang noticed that something was amiss with his little sister, so he asked. “What’s wrong?”
Huo Yao was a hacker, but someone was hacking into her social media account. How could she tell him about something as embarrassing as this?
Huo Yao raised her head, glanced at him calmly, and said composedly, “Nothing.”
Huo Yao veered her eyes and looked at her phone screen once more. She tapped on the screen as though she was composing a text.
Huo Xiang blinked. Maybe he was mistaken.
He pulled out his phone and unlocked it. Soon a notification popped up. It was an alert for a social media post about Lucky’s little sister’s personal information.
Huo Xiang’s fingers hovered over his phone. The moment he realized the severity of the matter, he quickly tapped on his social media.
The contents of the post were short, but all of Huo Yao’s personal information was made public down to her class and even the city she used to stay in. Everything was out there.
His personal information was also posted online. However, it did not contain his other details and merely exposed his full name.
Huo Xiang furrowed his brows hard. How did their personal information end up online? Judging from the contents of the post, the culprit was targeting Huo Yao.
Huo Xiang felt furious inside. All this time, he was worried about his little sister getting abused online. Now his greatest fear seemed to have finally materialised.
He clenched his fists before he closed the post and went to check out the top posts on social media.
Fang Chen’s post was nowhere to be seen and the five topics were all about his little sister.
He randomly tapped into one of them.
Huo Yao had finished recovering her social media account. She finally managed to sign in without a hitch.
The moment she got in, she saw countless notifications at the bottom of the screen. Her finger paused before she tapped and viewed the personal messages.
