Chapter 919: Do You Still Need An Apology?
Huo Yao was a freshman with an Arts background. She did not do any rough calculations and did not know the thesis well, but she got 100% on the first try. Everyone could not help feeling superbly impressed.
Liu Qian looked at the results on the computer screen and did not have the words to describe how he was feeling now.
He inhaled deeply. After suppressing the curiosity in his heart, he glanced at Huo Yao before looking at Jiang Mingyue mildly. “Do you still need an apology from her?”
Jiang Mingyue looked at the computer fixedly. She clenched her fists so tightly that they dug into her flesh, but she was completely numb.
100%.
She astonishingly got 100% accuracy in the comparative testing. How could she have succeeded at the first go?
This did not make sense at all!
Jiang Mingyue’s mind was in chaos. She did not know how to answer Liu Qian since it was impossible for the comparative test to lie.
Jiang Mingyue could not believe someone could achieve 100% accuracy in the first try. She did not think this way for no reason. Countless predecessors in the scientific field had proven this time and time again.
There was only one reason why Huo Yao could have achieved such fantastic results. She must have secretly researched her thesis ahead of time.
Jiang Mingyue pondered and vaguely recalled Liu Qian showing Huo Yao her thesis the first time Huo Yao came in to observe them. Jiang Mingyue did not think much of it at that time. Huo Yao was a freshman with an Arts background, so only an idiot would bother showing the thesis to her.
In hindsight, considering what she had accomplished today, everything suddenly made sense.
No wonder Huo Yao looked calm when she was asked to run the experiment herself.
Huo Yao was just pretending all along so that she could embarrass Jiang Mingyue.
Jiang Mingyue instantly realized what was going on. It was only natural for her to be angry.
She did not answer Liu Qian right away. Instead, she looked at Huo Yao and said sarcastically, “Not bad. You must have done a lot of homework so that you could show off, right?”
Huo Yao looked at Jiang Mingyue sideways teasingly. “Are you again trying to display how stupid you are?”
Jiang Mingyue smiled gently and seemed unaffected by Huo Yao’s words. Instead, she said coldly, “It’s no use researching my thesis. I have already submitted it to my teacher ages ago.”
She was implying Huo Yao could forget about moving up using her thesis.
Huo Yao raised her brow. “Does your thesis have any scientific value to speak of? Do you mean in terms of Genetic Mutation? Or do you mean in terms of genetic factors? Perhaps you are talking about the basic theory and application of Genetic Mutation?”
“Why should I tell you the direction of my thesis?” sneered Jiang Mingyue.
Huo Yao shrugged. “Then again, you couldn’t even get the transposable factor right. How could you grasp the scientific value of deciphering the genetic code?”
“Ha. Why are you still putting up a pretense?” scoffed Jiang Mingyue. Did Huo Yao think she was a genius just because she knew a few professional terminologies?
“Do you know why you were able to render a 3D model but did badly in the comparative test?” asked Huo Yao coldly with her hands behind her back, looking utterly laid back.
Jiang Mingyue pursed her lips and looked at Huo Yao.
