Chapter 978: A Change Of Opinion!
Two seconds later…
“It is no different from an ordinary computer,” said Dai Jie with a straight face.
Tang Jun nodded and chimed in. “Uh huh. It is even easier to use than an average computer.”
Huo Yao was dumbfounded.
Wang Jing’s lips twitched. She did not know what to say about their horrendous acting skills.
Before long, Liu Qian came back with someone.
The man was dressed in light-colored casuals. He had a tall and lean physique and gave off a scholarly aura. Although he was gorgeous, his flawless skin made him seem soft and completely harmless.
Huo Yao glanced at the man before moving away her eyes.
“Allow me to introduce him. He is a new teacher and his name is Yuan Huan. He specializes in Systems Bioengineering. Also, he will join our research team to help with AL research,” explained Liu Qian unhurriedly.
He was unaware of Yuan Huan’s true identity. Since Yuan Huan came at the recommendation of Zhao Lian, he must be extraordinary in Systems Bioengineering.
Yuan Huan smiled as he looked at everyone and nodded politely. “I am Yuan Huan. I look forward to working with you.”
He was gorgeous and a true gentleman. Everyone liked people like him.
After spending a few minutes getting acquainted with everyone, Liu Qian walked up beside Yuan Huan and gave him the research proposal.
They had just frozen upon the research team, but were clueless about where to start, especially since it was the first time some of the students were conducting research.
AL systems, also known as Artificial Life systems, were based on AI. After entering massive amounts of genetic data and commands, human intelligence could be simulated so that a microchip with a wide application could be produced.
The microchip could be implanted into humans for the purposes of diagnosis. It could take over human intelligence and be implanted in human cells. Also, it could be used to create new microorganisms. The microchip would be a real boon to society when implemented.
However, there had been little success in AL for Life Science, even abroad.
Its application was still in the early stages of development.
Huo Yao looked at the computer and went into a daze. She was in deep thought until Wang Jing placed her hand on Huo Yao’s shoulder. She raised her head and looked at Wang Jing. “Yes?”
“Are you under a lot of pressure?” asked Wang Jing softly.
In reality, Huo Yao was not alone. Despite being a senior, Wang Jing was also under a lot of duress even though they had barely started. However, she could not show it in front of Huo Yao.
Huo Yao quietly touched her nose when she heard these familiar words of concern and answered. “… Not really.”
She was simply trying to come up with some way to earn the cash award without exposing her abilities.
“Just take your time. Mr. Liu already said that this research project will take a lot of time, so you can relax a little,” comforted Wang Jing.
Huo Yao took the mouse and tapped on the application on the computer desktop. “Let’s get cracking.”
It was out of the question for her to wait.
After all, she was completely broke.
Wang Jing looked at the computer screen. The moment she saw Huo Yao’s genetic programming calculations, she was stunned.
Although Huo Yao was calculating at a turtle’s pace, she was genuinely very good at it.
Genetic programming was the most complicated part of AL. It required large amounts of calculation and excellent Math. Its calculations were immensely complicated and seemed like a dense spider web. The moment any mistake was committed, one would have to start all over.
Wang Jing, Tang Jun, and Dai Jie tended to be weaker in this area..
