Even though Huo Yulin had deliberately spoken harshly to him, he could not help feeling worried.

Min Yu paused briefly before he tapped on his phone. He scrolled down to Huo Yao’s number and dialed it.

Before long, there was a connection, but no one answered. Min Yu kept letting the phone ring until it finally stopped.

It was already past 8:00 pm. Where could she possibly be at this hour? She had not replied to his text messages or answered the phone and even her third older brother did not know her whereabouts.

Min Yu could not help feeling puzzled. He raised his head and glanced at the villa before he started the engine and drove off.

An hour after he had gone back to his villa, Min Yu took out his phone and tried calling her again.

This time, no one answered the phone either, but the call was rejected after a couple of rings.

Min Yu frowned as he looked at the phone screen and a text message suddenly popped up.

It came from an unknown phone number with an address on it.

The message had the same content as the one he deleted earlier.

Min Yu could not help feeling worried when he saw the text message.

Shortly after the call was rejected, he received a text message containing an address. It was clearly no coincidence.

As he pondered, he called the anonymous number used by the sender of the text message.

After a single ring, someone answered the phone, but no one could be heard. Min Yu tightened his grip on the phone with a cold look in his eyes as he held the phone. Half a minute later, he asked deeply. “Where is she?”

Someone finally sneered and replied mildly. “I always thought you were a composed man, Young Master Min.”

Min Yu narrowed his eyes. Only a handful of people had his personal number. Judging from the way the man spoke, the man clearly knew his identity. Also, it seemed he had Huo Yao captive.

Before he had the chance to speak, the man spoke again.

“I’ve already sent you the address. Her life is now in your hands. You have 20 minutes to get here. Otherwise, she’s dead meat.” He paused and added. “Oh yes. I don’t like crowds if you get what I mean, Young Master Min.”

He hung up the phone the moment he finished his sentence.

A murderous look radiated from Min Yu’s eyes when the man hung up. He stood up and strode out.

**

Yuan Huan smiled sinisterly after hanging up the phone. He looked sideways at the bleeding gunshot wound on his left arm. It seemed as though he was already numb and did not take the injury to heart at all.

He lowered his head to make a call and gave orders to his men to get ready before he went back to the basement.

After pressing on the lock, the door automatically opened and Yuan Huan entered through the door.

Yuan Xi leaned in front of the metallic bed trying to wake up Huo Yao. When Yuan Huan entered again, she instinctively tightened her grip on Huo Yao’s arm. Her legs were trembling.

Even though she was terrified, she stood in front of the bed and glared at Yuan Huan. “Do not come over.”

Yuan Huan glanced at Yuan Xi coldly and scoffed. He continued walking toward the bed as though he did not hear what she said.

Yuan Xi grabbed a metallic receptacle and hurled it at Yuan Huan. Sadly, she was very weak and could not stop him.
