Chapter 4090: A Nightmare (10)
Su Yu woke up with a shattering pain in his head.
“Doctor, please come. My son is awake. My son is awake.”
Mrs. Su stood up immediately and opened the door, yelling for the doctor.
The doctor and nurses ran into the ward and did a thorough check on him.
“Mrs. Su, congratulations. Mr. Su is fine. He just has a slight concussion and can be released from the hospital after a couple of days.”
“Good. Thank you, Doctor.”
After they were gone, Mrs. Su grabbed her son’s hand in joy.
“Yu… Look at me; look at your mom.”
Mrs. Su’s tears kept flowing from her eyes.
“Mom… How come you’re here? Where’s this… place?”
Su Yu snapped back to his senses and looked around at the strange ward in a daze.
“Silly boy, this is a hospital… You were in a coma for three days. You gave me such a fright.”
Mrs. Su remembered how fearful she was when her son was carried back. She almost passed out when she saw the blood all over Su Yu, thinking her son would die.
But Su Yu’s wounds turned out to be just scratches. However, for some reason, he didn’t wake up until three days later.
“I was out for three days?” Su Yu froze.
Mrs. Su nodded with tears in her eyes.
“What hospital is this one?”
“It’s the best private hospital in Yunnan. Your grandpa arranged for you to come here. Don’t worry.” Mrs. Su took her son’s hand and soothed him.
“Hospital in Yunnan… What happened?”
“My goodness. Son, have you lost your memories?” seeing his blank face, Mrs. Su asked immediately.
Su Yu let go of his mother’s hand and tried hard to recall.
He remembered he was kidnapped and then saw Zhao Qingya; then Huo Mian came to him and then he remembered Huo Siqian and the big explosion.
The memories flashed across his mind like a movie.
His heart beat faster and faster; when he recalled the big explosion, his heart almost jumped out.
“Mom… Mom…” He called his mother with a panting voice.
“Son, I’m here.”
Mrs. Su stood up immediately and patted her son’s back gently.
“Explosion… I remember the big explosion… Mom, where’s Mian? Where’s Mian?”
Hearing Su Yu’s question, something flashed across his mother’s eyes. She seemed to be hiding something.
“Yu, calm yourself down. Listen to me. Your priority is recovering your health… The doctor said you have a concussion and got stimulation in your brain. You must rest well. We can talk about it when you’re out of the hospital.”
“No. You must tell me now… Mom, I want to see Mian. I’ll go and see Mian.”
Agitated, Su Yu pulled off the infusion needle and got out of the bed.
The moment he stood up, he fell to the floor with a thud.
He had lain in bed for so long that he didn’t have any strength left in his body.
“Son… Did you hurt yourself? You can’t get out of bed yet. Don’t scare me, son…” Mrs. Su hurried over to help her son up.
Su Yu pushed her hands away. “Mom, don’t stop me. I want to see Mian.”
“Son… Don’t be so stubborn. Listen to me. You must get well first, okay?” Mrs. Su wept, seeing her son have so little regard for his own health.
“Mom, tell me the truth. Did something happen to… Mian? Is she… dead?”
Su Yu remembered the dream in which Huo Mian lay in his arms covered in blood; he almost went mad at this memory.
From the evasive way that his mother talked to him, he knew bad news was waiting for him.
