Chapter 117 - Chapter 116: So Many Towers!

Chapter 117: Chapter 116: So Many Towers!

The chat was also starting to get excited.

“Wow, isn’t this Silent guy the tentacle monster? Why isn’t he microing?”

“Are you stupid? What can you do as an Archmage being chased by a Blademaster?”

“Humans can’t beat orcs, nothing to see here.”

“What the, the Archmage is about to die!”

“Oh man, he lived with a sliver of health. Not bad, now he can buy potions and replenish his army and go again!”

“Blademaster wants to locate Archmage! They found the Human base!”

“The second hero for the Humans is here, the Mountain King!”

“The Blademaster is stunned, and is now surrounded! Blademaster has to retreat!”

The streamer was trying their best to commentate the game, and the viewers were getting incredibly excited.

It was clear that there was a battle to be had from the start, and the viewers were quite naturally quite excited. There were even viewers going to other channels to get them to watch the match, and because of that, the viewer count kept increasing!

“The Humans started mining! But why are they still training Footmen and Peasants, the Raiders from the Orcs are already here!

“Building towers? Do they plan to drag it onto late game?

“It’s over, the Orcs discovered the mine!

“The Humans are at a disadvantage!

“What? The Guard Tower is finished? The Blademaster has chased the Archmage for too long, and his Wind Walk is running out!

“It’s over, Blademaster is surrounded! Could you believe that the Blademaster got surrounded!”

“The Blademaster is dead!

“This Mountain King threatens Blademaster too much!

“The Orcs haven’t given up, the Shadow Hunter has a huge army behind him, trying to kill that pesky Mountain King!

“They can’t kill him, the Mountain King deeps running around the tower! This movement is incredible!

“Oh no, the orcs are retreating, and the Mountain King only spared one Raider, that’s not worth it!

“Oh my goodness, even a god like him can’t stop Silent?

“Don’t worry, this is not over yet, the Humans only have a bunch of low tier units. Didn’t they take over the mines using Guard Towers? The Orcs are mining too! The game is still too close to tell who might win!”

The game entered a stalemate.

Nightwind wasn’t dumb and wasn’t going to send more of his troops to try and take over the mine when it didn’t work the first time. He decided to focus on killing neutrals, gaining levels, as well as training high tier units. He wanted to defeat the Humans by using his superior research before the Humans could convert all their resources into manpower.

“Another tower? My goodness, this mine already has seven Guard Towers!

“There’s another mine on the top of the map! Three towers right away! What’s this ridiculous strategy!

“They’re still building, he’s not done yet!

“Look, the Humans skipped right over the mid tier units and went straight for Gryphons!

“Double Gryphon Aviaries training Gryphons! The humans are so rich!

“Orcs are training Troll Riders.

“I think something is about to hit Nightwind god!”

The Orcs were in a rush, but there wasn’t much they could do. The main force of Orcs were as usual, Blademaster, Shadow Hunter, Grunts, Raiders, Spirit Walkers and Troll Riders. Although this army was quite strong, the humans didn’t want to battle outside their base at all!

The humans on the other hand had Archmage and Mountain as well as some garbage Footmen, but they relied on Guard Towers. The Orcs had no chance of breaking their defence. Humans also had multiple mines and had plenty of gold, and could afford anything they liked such as Scroll of Town Portal, various healing potions, and Invulnerability Potions. And with the help of the Guard Towers, no matter where the Orcs decided to attack, the Heroes on the Human side could teleport anywhere, putting the Orcs in a difficult situation.

The Orcs were favourable at the start, but when the double Gryphon Aviaries came alone, the tides of battle turned immediately.

“The Orcs are starting to mine too!”

“But the Gryphons from the Humans are approaching. But the Burrow stands no chance, they are gone in two hits!

“They’re hitting the base!

“The Blademaster is back at base, but the Gryphons are all gone!

“My goodness, it looks hopeless!

“Why aren’t Nightwind-god building towers?

“What’s the point, are the Orc towers the same as human towers? Moreover, the Gryphons are showing themselves.”

Nightwind started panicking. His opponent was like a prickly porcupine, his Orcs had sharp teeth, but there wasn’t anywhere they could attack!

Humans now had three different mines, and each of them had at least a dozen Guard Towers, and their main army was composed of Gryphons and Dragonhawks

If they went head to head, the Orcs might still have a chance, as long as he used the Troll Riders well, there was still a chance to win. But the humans weren’t planning to battle at all. Gryphons were attacking Orc’s mines all over the place, and the Burrows and Watch Towers stood no chance against magic damage, wasting resources everytime he tried to build it.

Rushing into the Human mines? That was a worse idea. There were many Guard Towers, including Dragonhawks and Gryphons, how could you rush into that?

If it were anyone else, they’d probably would’ve broken down and quit the game. But Nightwind was an elite player afterall, and was still in a good mental state.

The Orc army was sent out to force a mine!

There was no other choice as their current mine was at its limits, if they didn’t make a move, they would’ve lost the war of attrition.

But before they could establish the mine, the humans came.

The chat was going wild. Anybody could tell that this was the final battle. If the Orcs fail to secure the mine, their game would be over, but if the Orcs manage to hang on, they still have a chance.

But the humans didn’t start battling, but instead started building towers right in front of the mine.

Once the tower was dropped, many Peasants were behind it hammering away.

The observer who was commentating was stunned.

“My goodness! Silent is trying to build a tower right in the face of Nightwind! Are they crazy! The Orcs have an entire army, will the tower even be built?

“Huh? But Nightwind isn’t responding, he didn’t see it! My goodness, he only has a portion of his army guarding the mine, and has his attention on the Blademaster!

“The tower is outside of vision range, and he can’t see it! My goodness! There are now eight towers built, and upgrading!

“He’s discovered it! It looks like it’s too late! Destroy! Rush! My goodness, he can’t win!

“The Orcs are retreating, but the humans aren’t chasing at all! They’re building more towers! That’s too evil!”

The chat was also shocked, spamming: “never seen someone so shameless”!

The Humans were now completely in advantage, but Silent still chose to not chase. Instead he chose to build more and more towers towards the mine!

The Orc army was now stuck, the mine was behind them, and they had Guard Towers in front of them as well as their huge army. But the humans didn’t plan to fight, instead kept pushing the Guard Towers forward.

“Nightwind-god’s not waiting anymore, he’s forcing the fight! Blademaster used Bladestorm! Spin, spin, spin! Oh, he can’t win! And Blademaster is back to base.

“The mine was gone before it even started!

“The Peasants from Silent have now made it their base, turning the Orc mine into his!

“Wow, this mine is the scariest I’ve seen, there are twenty-four Guard Towers!”

The viewers could feel the hopelessness of the Orc player through the commentary.

But Nightwind hadn’t typed GG, his Blademaster was now level six, and didn’t want to lose this way.

“The Humans are on the move, is this the end?

“No, the Humans aren’t moving towards the base of the Orc! ...huh? He’s gathering the Peasants to the middle of the map?

“Uhh... he’s building towers again!

“Oh my, there are so many towers already! Looks like there are twenty two Guard Towers!

“What is this about? There aren’t any resources in the middle of the map, what’s the point of building so many towers? To black passage?”
