Chapter 418 - 418: A Fateful Coincidence
Outside the gated community, Uncle Zhang and a woman squatted by the roadside with a big bag.
The woman asked, “Can we really meet Miss Tang here?”
“I think so. The villa that Miss Tang and Mr. Jiang live in is especially luxurious and big, but the security here is also very strict. We won’t be able to go in, so we can only wait here.”
“I recognize Mr. Jiang’s car. I’ll stop it when I see it and we’II pass the bag to her.”
The woman nodded as she looked at the villas in the gated community with envy.
The people who lived here in these villas were either rich or noble, people who wouldn’t befriend them.
But Tang Beibei had saved her son, and she hadn’t thanked her properly. Therefore, she asked Uncle Zhang to bring her here to thank Tang Beibei in person.
A man walked up to them and asked, “Are you looking for Tang Beibei and Jiang Jingchen?”
“Yes.” Uncle Zhang nodded with smile. “How did you know?”
“Oh, I overheard you guys talking just now. I’m also here to find them. I have something to give them, but something urgent cropped up and I have to leave now.”
“I see that you’re honest people, so I would like to pass the gift to you Please help me give it to Tang Beibei, but don’t tell anyone that it’s from me.”
Uncle Zhang was puzzled. “Since it’s a gift from you, why can’t you let her know it’s from you?”
The man replied, “This is a tonic. I’m afraid they’ll reject it if they knows it’s from me. But I sincerely wish them well. Please help me.”
Uncle Zhang felt a little conflicted. Then, he heard the man say, “To be honest, I’m their relative. I’m here to give this to Tang Beibei. I don’t want to cause any trouble. Here’s 2,000 yuan. Please help me.”
Uncle Zhang wanted to refuse, but the man was stubborn. He stuffed the money into his hands and left. When he left, he even reminded Uncle Zhang not to tell them that he was here because it would make them unhappy.
Uncle Zhang looked at the money in his hand helplessly.
Mrs. Zhang was still in a daze. “Uncle, what should we do with the money?” “Since he has given us money, we’ll help him pass the package to Miss Tang. But we can’t take the money.”
Mrs. Zhang nodded in agreement. “We can’t take 2,000 yuan from someone for no reason. It’s too much.”
The two of them waited a while more before they saw Jiang Jingchen’s car.
Uncle Zhang was excited and walked over to wave at them.
“Mr. Jiang, Mr. Jiang, Miss Tang, Miss Tang, it’s me, the uncle who transported cow dung for you!”
In the car, Tang Beibei saw someone she knew waving at her, so she asked
Jiang Jingchen to stop the car.
Jiang Jingchen said, “I see him, but we need to stop at the side.”
Jiang Jingchen turned the steering wheel and stopped the car by the roadside Tang Beibei got out of the car and asked, “Uncle Zhang, what’s the matter?” Uncle Zhang heard her respectful tone and felt less reserved. He explained, “Xiaohe has already gone home. Xiaohe’s mother wants to thank you. Miss’ Tang, we also prepared something for you to thank you.”
Xiaohe was the nickname of the boy whom Tang Beibei saved.
Tang Beibei was surprised. She just wanted to save him at the time and never expected anything in return.
“Uncle Zhang, Mrs. Zhang, you’re too kind. Hearing that Xiaohe is recovering well is already the best gift for me.”
Mrs. Zhang was even more grateful when she heard Tang Beibei say that. She brought the big bag over and handed it to Tang Beibei.
“Miss Tang, these aren’t anything expensive. They’re all grown in my vegetable garden. They’re very clean. You saved my Xiaohe, which means that you saved my life. If you don’t want these things of mine, I’ll feel bad and can’t rest at ease day or night.”
Tang Beibei saw the big bag she was carrying thought that it was not nice to refuse since she had brought it all the way here.
Get in the car. Have some tea at our house since you are here.”
Mrs. Zhang looked at Uncle Zhang cautiously. Uncle Zhang waved his hand.
“We shan’t bother you. Miss Tang, you’re a kind person. Kind people will be rewarded.”
Tang Beibei took another bag Uncle Zhang handed to her. There was a pretty nice box in the bag.
“If you don’t get in the car, I won’t take these things. You won’t even have some tea with me when you are here. That’s looking down on me…”
Mrs. Zhang was in a dilemma and looked to Uncle Zhang for a decision.
Uncle Zhang pointed at his clothes. “Miss Tang, we, well embarrass you.” “You didn’t steal or rob, and I didn’t do anything bad. We are all aboveboard. What’s there to be embarrassed about? Don’t think too much. Uncle Zhang Mrs. Zhang, let’s go.”
Tang Beibei opened the car door for them.
Uncle Zhang had no choice but to get into the car with the bags. Mrs. Zhang lacked opinions and just followed Uncle Zhang.
Jiang Jingchen reminded them to put on their seat belts. Uncle Zhang looked around for his but couldn’t find his seat belt. He thought that only passenger in the front seat needed to put on a seat belt and not passengers in the back.
Tang Beibei smiled and helped him find his seatbelt.
“Hubby, let’s go.” Jiang Jingchen started the car.
The man hiding behind a tree watched as the two of them carried his bag into their car. The corners of his mouth curled up into a conniving smile.
He took out his phone and made a call. “Hello, the gift box has been delivered.” “If Tang Beibei is pregnant and eats that, she will definitely have a miscarriage Even if she’s not pregnant, she won’t feel good after eating that!”
When they arrived at the villa, Tang Beibei poured tea for her guests.
Tang Beibei said with a smile, “You’re my second and third guests. I’m quite happy.”
Mrs. Zhang looked at the luxurious villa and could not help but sigh. The houses where rich people lived were really big and beautiful.
She carefully took the teacup from Tang Beibei and stared at her. The more she looked at her, the more familiar she felt. She asked in confusion, “Miss Tang, did your mother dance in a dance troupe?”
Tang Beibei looked at her in shock. “What dance troupe?”
Mrs. Zhang thought that she had said something wrong. She quickly said, “I might have been mistaken. I’m sorry. I’m getting old. My eyes aren’t working as well anymore.”
Tang Beibei frowned. Mrs. Zhang didn’t look a day over forty. She was still young. It was just an excuse to say that her eyes were not good.
Mrs. Zhang, do you think I look like someone you’ve met before?”
Mrs. Zhang nodded. “Yes, very much. Your eyes look very much like that woman’s, and your smile is even more so. Sigh, it’s a pity that that woman is mute.”
Tang Beibei felt as if her heart had been tugged and quickly asked, “What’s that woman’s name? What’s she like? Is she good-tempered?”
“That woman’s name, I think, is Tang Xingxing. She is mild-tempered and is often bullied in the dance troupe. She’s a very kind person.”
Tang Beibei was excited. Her birth mother was Tang Xingxing!
Mrs. Zhang, can you tell me more?”
Mrs. Zhang looked at her reddened eyes and patted her shoulder comfortingly.
“Miss Tang, calm down. I’ll tell you everything you want to know.”
“How did you know my mother?”
“Ah, is Miss Tang Xingxing really your mother?”
Mrs. Zhang felt that it was a fateful coincidence that she met Tang Xingxing’s daughter..
