Chapter 709 - 709: Window Paper
A loud commotion awoke Luo Feng. Even he was taken aback by the sudden disturbance.
Lately, Luo Feng had been exceptionally busy. Only the day before, he had acquired the gilded mask, which had greatly eased his mind. Coupled with the multitude of activities from the previous night, he was physically drained, leading to a deep slumber, unaware of anyone approaching.
Despite his initial shock, Luo Feng remained calm. He slowly sat up and addressed the group in front of him, asking, ‘What do you want from me?”
As he spoke, Luo Feng looked around, unable to discern the intentions of the gathering.
“You’re Luo Feng, right? You’ve got some nerve,” one of them said, his face twisted in malevolence. The group began to approach Luo Feng, seemingly attempting to exude an oppressive aura.
Little did they know, such tactics had no effect on Luo Feng.
“Speak your mind. If you’re here for a reason, state it. Otherwise, watch your back,” Luo Feng warned, readying himself for a potential conflict.
While they were numerous and seemed to hold the upper hand, Luo Feng wasn’t intimidated. If he decided to fight, these men would be nothing more than mere targets in front of him.
Regrettably, they failed to assess the situation correctly, still believing they held the upper hand.
“You dare steal from our master! Hand over what you took, and perhaps we might spare your life. Fail to comply, and we’ll ensure you’re bedridden forever!” one of them threatened.
By now, they had surrounded Luo Feng, looking at him as if he was a lamb ready for slaughter. Though they hadn’t revealed their identities, it wasn’t hard to guess from their words: they must be underlings of a man named Andy.
After all, Luo Feng had just raided Andy’s warehouse the previous night. It was only logical that he’d be the prime suspect.
“I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but if you wish to fight, I won’t back down,” Luo Feng declared. Springing up from his chair, he decided to strike first.
Before they could react, Luo Feng landed a powerful punch on one of them, sending him sprawling to the ground, incapacitated.
The confrontation had begun. While the attackers were many and well-trained, capable of taking on multiple opponents on their own, they seemed like paper figures against Luo Feng.
With each punch, he effortlessly felled them. Within minutes, all were on the ground, groaning in pain.
“You should’ve sent someone more skilled if you wanted to challenge me. To the uninformed, it’d seem as though I was bullying you!” Luo Feng remarked sarcastically. The attackers lay defeated, unable to muster a response.
Just when it appeared the confrontation was over, the door burst open again, revealing Andy.
As Andy walked in, he began to clap, seemingly applauding Luo Feng’s prowess.
Soon, Andy stood before Luo Feng, examining him from head to toe. “I always suspected you weren’t ordinary. But now, it seems you’re even more exceptional than I imagined.”
With that, Andy took a seat, and the two locked eyes. Luo Feng broke the silence, “Mr. Andy, I came to do business with you in good faith. We’ve only just struck a deal, and I haven’t even paid yet. Why this charade? Isn’t this a bit unfair?”
“Yes, under the guise of business, you scoped out my warehouse, sneaking in at night to steal my treasures. Isn’t that also unfair?” Andy retorted.
“What are you talking about? I’m lost,” Luo Feng feigned ignorance.
Seeing Luo Feng’s feigned cluelessness, Andy grew visibly frustrated. A few moments later, he burst into laughter. seeminglv out of exasDeration. “Do vou
honestly believe you’re beyond my reach?”
“I’ve always wanted to do business with you. I never thought of competing against you,” Luo Feng persisted with his claim.
“Fine. If you’re so keen on doing business, let me tell you, the items in my warehouse are just minor trinkets. I possess a collection piece whose value surpasses all of them combined. Interested in discussing it?”
Luo Feng’s brow furrowed. It was clear this was a trap, but retreating wasn’t in his nature..
