Chapter 20
“Okay, I’ll talk to the family and call you back later. Let’s leave it at that.” His mother said and hung up the phone.
Yigol hurriedly stopped her, “Mom, wait a moment, I don’t even have my cousin’s contact information. We didn’t have much contact before, so…”
“Alright, I’ll send it to you right away.” After saying that, his mother hung up the phone and sent him all of his cousin’s contact information.
Taking care of his cousin wasn’t a problem, but Yigol didn’t know what to do about Suri Drew.
He couldn’t let his cousin know about Suri’s situation, and he couldn’t let his cousin live in Suri’s house either.
If his cousin found out, wouldn’t that mean the whole family would know?
Not only Suri, but even the fact that he was now so wealthy, he couldn’t let his cousin know.
These two things were what he had to be careful about, so after his mother called him back, he had to think carefully about how to talk to her about settling his cousin.
…
Meanwhile, Suri Drew and Rachel Turkish were sitting in a coffee shop, drinking coffee and chatting.
Suri reluctantly asked, “Are you really not planning on staying for a few more days?”
“No, I don’t want to stay and see you two being lovey-dovey tomorrow.” Rachel shook her head and said, “I’ve had enough PDA.”
Suri helplessly replied, “You know that Yigol and I haven’t gone that far yet. Even if you stayed, it wouldn’t affect us at all, and it wouldn’t keep you up at night.”
“I wish you two would affect me.” Rachel teased.
“What are you talking about? Yigol and I haven’t gone that far yet, it’s still early.” Suri blushed and replied.
“You’re not at that point yet, but you’re getting close. You’re so beautiful, what man would have no interest in you? And he’s your legal husband. If he endures too long and harms his health, what’ll you do?” Rachel joked.
Suri thought about it carefully. She had to pay attention to her man’s health.action
“So, what should I do?” Suri asked.
“Oh my god, are you really planning to give in to him?” Rachel asked in surprise.
“What’s wrong with that? Yigol and I are both normal adults, okay?” Suri replied, “But this kind of thing needs to happen naturally.”
“You can’t just give in to him like this. Although you two are legal, you’ve only known each other for two or three days.” Rachel said incredulously.
“You know me, I don’t like things that aren’t under my control. So, my dear, you have so many ideas, what do you think I should do?” Suri asked in a coquettish tone.
Rachel gave her a disgusted look. “Do you really need advice? Just take it slow, hold hands, kiss, and stuff. Trust me, once you make a move, men will be even more proactive.”
“But what if he isn’t proactive?” Suri asked worriedly.
“Well, that’s up to you. If you’re willing, then take the initiative and throw yourself at him. If not, then forget it. As long as he’s a normal man, he won’t need you to take the initiative.”
“But you need to think it through. You haven’t known each other long, so you’d better be sure before giving yourself to him, or you might end up disgusted with yourself later.” Rachel reminded her.
Suri nodded, “No, I don’t think he’s that kind of person. Besides, we’re adults now…”
Rachel poked her forehead, “Look at you being so spineless. I bet by the time I see you again, you’ll really be going through your after childbirth period.”
“Cut it out, if you’re not convinced, go through after childbirth yourself. Then you can gain some experience for me.” Suri joked.
“Fine, but I don’t have a partner, so can I borrow your husband, Mr. Novak?”
“Go away…”
…
At night, when Yigol Novak was still busy in the kitchen, Suri came back.
But she was alone.
“Wife, why are you back alone? Where’s your bestie?” Yigol asked in confusion.
“What, are you interested in my bestie?” Suri playfully asked.
“No, not at all.” Yigol denied. At this point, even if he was an idiot, he couldn’t give a positive answer, unless he didn’t want to have a good life.
“She said she didn’t want to stay here and eat your food every day, for fear she’d get jaded and starve when she goes back. So she left.”
“When I accompanied her to pick things up, you weren’t home. After I sent her off, I went to the company.” Suri told Yigol about her whereabouts.
“I made too much food, so it’s good that I haven’t started cooking yet. We’ll cook it tomorrow instead.” Thinking that the three of them would eat together, Yigol had prepared too much food.
Since there weren’t that many people eating, he decided not to make too much and waste it.
He was a thrift enthusiast, and although he was rich now, he had long developed a habit of not wasting.
After dinner, Yigol said to Suri, “Wife, I have to move out for a while.”
Suri looked up at him sharply, “Why?”
It had only been three days since she met Yigol, but in that time, she had grown accustomed to his presence.
When Yigol suddenly said he was leaving, Suri’s heart trembled.
Her first thought was that Yigol was leaving her. No matter the reason, she felt a sudden sense of crisis.
She didn’t want to be apart from Yigol. It was at this moment that Suri suddenly realized that she had always subconsciously felt that he wouldn’t leave. That’s why she found it so hard to accept when he said he was moving out.
Yigol was eating and didn’t notice the change in Suri’s expression.
As he ate, he explained, “It’s because I have a…”
Yigol told Suri about his mother’s request to look after his cousin. “So I have to take care of her for a while.”
“But I don’t think this is the right time for her to find out that I’m rich, and I don’t think it’s the right time for her to know about you.”
“Don’t overthink it. My main concern is for my parents. If my cousin finds out, it’ll be like the whole family knows. If my parents find out, they might create problems for you.”
“If they know I have money, and so much money, they’ll definitely come over, and they’ll find out about you too.”
“I don’t want to make it difficult for you. I’ll wait until you willingly meet my parents before I tell them. When both of us are mentally prepared and ready to spend the rest of our lives together. But don’t worry, I’ll come to see you at the company whenever I have time and cook dinner for you every night.”
