Chapter 92 - 92: Killed by One’s Own Collision
Suri Drew replied nonchalantly, “No worries, I don’t care about mingling with them anyway, and I haven’t spoken to them since joining this group. It’s because of Bob Presley’s rumors in the group that I spoke up for the first time.”
“I’ll tell her the truth then.”
Yigol Novak seemed helpless, “You didn’t listen to me just now, and you still don’t want to listen to me?”
“Here, give me your phone and stop saying such incendiary stuff. My wife, you can not interact with them, but you also don’t need to make them think you’re so bad in every way. People are afraid of public opinion, right?”
“That Bob Presley was a madman back then. Who knows what kind of ghost
“Even if you don’t want to associate with your classmates, you never know when or where you’ll encounter them. Sometimes, rumors can be very damaging. There’s no need to let people see you as if you’re a terrifying person or a great enemy.”
Yigol Novak took Suri Drew’s phone, and she didn’t object.
Yigol Novak replied, “I am Suri Drew’s husband. Regarding Bob Presley, I’ll tell you the truth: He’s dead, but it has nothing to do with me or my wife. He killed himself by crashing his car.”
After Yigol Novak’s message was sent, the classmate chat group erupted.
“Oh my God, Bob Presley’s dead?”
“No way, not only is he dead, but he actually killed himself by crashing his
“Oh my God, what’s with today’s news? I woke up to this. Am I dreaming?”
Quinn Powell mentioned Suri Drew’s WhatsApp, “You say you’re Suri Drew’s husband? The man we met at the registry office?”
Yigol Novak sent a voice message directly, “Yes, that’s me. I’m Yigol Novak,
Suri Drew’s husband.”
The next second, Quinn Powell mentioned Suri Drew’s WhatsApp again, cursing, “You son of a bitch, it was already outrageous when Suri Drew said in the group that you would turn Bob Presley into a second generation in debt.”
“Today, you actually said that Bob Presley killed himself by crashing his car, and not only that, we didn’t know about it but you and Suri Drew did. Is there such a coincidence in this world?”
“I won’t believe you. If you have something to say, save it for the police. I’m going to call the police right now.”
Upon seeing Quinn Powell’s reply, Suri Drew hurriedly tried to explain to Yigol
Novak, “Husband, I said that in the group because…”
Yigol Novak smiled at her, “My wife, you don’t need to explain. I believe you. I was already angry when I saw Bob Presley, and you must be even more angry that you were slandered by them. That day, I said I wanted to deal with him, and it turns out we’re really in sync, a true couple.”
“With me around, you don’t have to worry. You don’t have to explain anything to me. I trust you, and I always will.”
“This Quinn Powell is hanging on to it for dear life, but why? Does she really love Bob Presley that much, or does she have other motives?”
After Yigol Novak finished, he replied to Quinn Powell in the group chat, “Quinn Powell, right? My wife and I saw you when we went to register for marriage. You were sitting in the passenger seat of Bob Presley’s car.” “So, are you so resentful because you’ve truly fallen madly in love with Bob?”
“Even if you’ve fallen madly in love with him, that’s still between the two of you, and it has nothing to do with anyone else. His death was due to him crashing his car and killing himself. We just happened to witness it.”
“You can call the police if you want, but I need to remind you that such a big event, do you think the police wouldn’t know? By now, the matter has long been settled.”
“It seems that your relationship with the Presley family isn’t that great, or else you wouldn’t be asking others about their whereabouts without knowing where their house is. If you’d gone to his house to look for him, you wouldn’t be asking others about his whereabouts here.”
“By now, he must have been buried.”
“Honestly, he was harassing my wife every day and slandering her in the group chat. I knew about it, and I was indeed planning to make him a second generation in debt. I’ve already taken action, and their family will only face bankruptcy. If you have a problem, come at me, not my wife.”
“Try bullying my wife again, and I’ll make you sorry. It’s not easy to be classmates by fate.”
“We are all adults now, and we need to take responsibility for our words and actions. There’s no need to make a scene and end up acting like enemies when we meet in the future. My wife never provoked any of you, right?
“Today, I am making my stand here. Whoever dares to bully my wife in the future, I will make sure they pay the price.”
After Yigol Novak posted his words, it took quite a while before anyone in the group spoke up.
Perhaps nobody expected Yigol Novak to suddenly come forward and say such protective words for his wife.
After a while, Quinn Powell finally replied, “Damn it, you think you’re so fucking great? Sending shitty packages and acting like you’re someone important?”
“You claim to have ‘happened to see’ Bob Presley’s accident. I think you and Suri Drew shamelessly did intimate and disgusting things in front of him, causing him great shock.”
“You even said you’d make him a second generation in debt! The Presley family’s supermarket is doing well, who do you think you are to make them lose everything just with one word?”
“If you’re so great, why don’t you kill me too?”
Seeing Quinn Powell’s reply, Yigol Novak thought this woman was a complete idiot.
However, that’s how idiots think – they have such a good sense of self-esteem.
The Presley family’s supermarket was indeed open. What was so strange about that?
They had a physical store with substantial foundations. There was no way they could go bankrupt overnight.
Bob Presley and his father were dead, but the Presley family was not without people. The banks chasing their debts wouldn’t take such inhumane action at this point; they were likely still watching and waiting.
Bob Presley’s father must have been quite capable to have built their business to this point, so Bob’s mother wouldn’t be a simple woman. With her around, the supermarket’s normal operation was to be expected.
Yigol Novak replied, “I have no interest in talking to you anymore. Whether or not the Presley family goes bankrupt, you’ve got plenty of time to find out. We’re in an age where people can’t stand being taken advantage of anymore, and no one would casually kill someone. In a legal society, only those who abide by the law will live longer.”
“Besides, you’re taking yourself too seriously. You’re not even worth my time, and I feel like talking to you is a waste.”
“You’ve been quite strong and domineering, probably because you relied on Bob Presley’s power. Now that he’s dead, who are you going to rely on? Since Bob is no longer here, you should start thinking about your own way out. Maybe, if you’re lucky, you could hook up with another ‘rich second generation’ or something..”
