Chapter 118 - 118: 118: Not Suitable for Spring Thoughts
She reached out to touch Yigol Novak’s hand as he was washing vegetables: “Yigol, let me help you.”
She held Yigol’s hand without any intention of letting go, her voice soft and seductive.
Rachel was naturally gentle and sweet. With this attitude and her tender voice, which man could resist her charms?
But Yigol was an exception. He didn’t even give Rachel an extra glance, pulling his hand away instead: “It’s not springtime, no need for such thoughts. You better wait in the living room.”
“If you keep this up, I’ll kick you out, and don’t blame me for not giving you face.”
“I may not understand your intentions, but I want to tell you this: the only woman I love in this world is my wife. Apart from her, I won’t have any feelings for anyone else.”
Yigol didn’t know that this was a trap set by Suri Drew and Rachel Turkish together.
He probably felt more confident since he was successful, thinking that Rachel was just trying to hook up with him since she liked him.
He heard that many girls liked to steal their bestie’s boyfriend, and many ot them succeeded.
It was hard for anyone not to give in, especially when faced with such a beautiful woman as Rachel, but Yigol already had Suri, so he couldn’t even entertain the idea.
Otherwise, it would not be worth it if it affected his relationship with Suri.
The development of Yigol and Suri’s relationship to this point was not easy at all.
Aside from being sensitive, Suri was a perfect woman. What more could he ask for?
Yigol guessed that Rachel either truly fancied him or wanted to hook up with him to hurt Suri because she had a falling out with her.
Yigol still stuck to his previous thoughts: if there was any unhappiness between the besties, they would resolve it themselves, and he wouldn’t interfere.
An outsider, especially a man, had no place in the matters between besties.
However, Yigol had to find an opportunity to talk to Suri about what Rachel was doing today. They said it was always good to be cautious, so he had to be on guard for his wife’s sake.
Rachel was frustrated once again by Yigol. She wanted to give up, but saw that Suri was still urging her to continue.
Rachel was speechless and had no choice but to continue approaching Yigol for her bestie’s sake. She came closer to Yigol and suddenly hugged him: “Yigol, actually…”
Things had come this far, and it was clear she was blatantly trying to seduce him. Even the stupidest person would understand by now.
Yigol was speechless, wishing he could just throw Rachel out.
But he remembered she was Suri’s bestie, so he suppressed the urge to throw her out. He forcefully broke free from her arms, stepped aside, and looked at her angrily.
However, Rachel seemed not to notice and continued sending flirtatious glances at Yigol.
Yigol was almost at a loss for words, suppressing his anger as he said, “Rachel, enough is enough. You’re indeed beautiful, and you have both looks and body, but not every man falls for it. I have absolutely no feelings for you.”
“If you weren’t my wife’s bestie, I would’ve thrown you out already. I’m warning you one last time. Go wait in the living room and don’t come back in the kitchen. If you refuse to listen, don’t blame me for being impolite.”
Rachel didn’t take Yigol’s words to heart and took another two steps towards him: “Yigol, why are you so fierce? I actually fell for you at first sight, but…” Before Rachel finished speaking, Yigol exploded.
He used a grappling technique to grab her shoulder and control her attacking hand. Forcing her to turn around, he unceremoniously pushed Rachel out of the kitchen.
“That’s enough. I advise you to have some self-respect. I don’t have the habit of not hitting women. If you create more trouble, don’t blame me for not going easy on you, regardless of your fighting skills, background, or status.” “If you dare to take one more step forward, I’ll throw you out immediately.”
Having said that, Yigol heard some noise from the living room. He looked up and saw Suri standing not far from the kitchen with her arms crossed, just outside Yigol’s line of sight.
If it weren’t for the noise and his two steps forward, he wouldn’t have even seen Suri.
Yigol’s heart raced as he hurriedly approached Suri and grabbed her hand: “Wife, please don’t misunderstand.”
He had no idea how much Suri saw or heard. If she had seen everything, it wouldn’t be a problem, but if she only saw a small part, it would be hard not to misunderstand.
“I shouldn’t misunderstand? What shouldn’t I misunderstand?” Suri asked emotionlessly.
Her expression made Yigol even more nervous. If she were furious or trusting, he could gauge how much she knew. But her demeanor now left him utterly unsure.
“She… she knows what’s happening and has been pestering me. Wife, I swear, I have no intention towards her.” Yigol hurriedly explained.
“Wife, in my heart, I love only you. I wouldn’t even give another woman a second glance…”
Suri still didn’t have any reaction, maintaining her indifferent gaze on Yigol, making him increasingly anxious. It was even more painful than getting beaten.
Rachel, on the other hand, angrily said to Suri, “Suri, your husband is so out of line! He actually took advantage of me…”
Before Rachel could finish her sentence, Yigol shot her a cold glare, “Don’t talk. Are you tired of living?”
Rachel closed her mouth nervously, and even Suri was shocked by Yigol’s reaction; she was dumbfounded.
The house fell silent, without a single sound.
After a while, Rachel finally came back to her senses and ignited with fury.
Seeing Suri and Yigol arm in arm, looking so loving, her anger intensified. She shouted at Suri, “You stinking woman, it’s all your fault! If it weren’t for you, would I have been scolded so harshly by your man?”
“I’ve lived so many years and never been scolded like this before! And you still have the nerve to watch the show from the side?!”
Yigol looked at Suri, puzzled.
By this time, Suri had come back to her senses too. Seeing Rachel’s pitiful state and Yigol’s baffled face, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud..
