Chapter 227 - 227: 227: The Good Besties of Daughterin-law Made So Many Contributions
Afterward, Suri sent Rachel Turkish a voice message: “Foul woman, you better find a man soon, or your constant craving and unfulfilled desires will lead to hormonal imbalances and turn you into an ugly monster.”
Rachel snorted back: “Pfft, I don’t need any bastard of a man. I’ll just take it out on this robot every day and treat it like your man. Problem solved.”
Suri: “Beating up a robot is nothing to brag about. I have a real man. You said you don’t need a man, but that’s because you don’t have one, right? Plus, you’re always acting like a man-hater, so no one would want you anyway.”
Rachel replied: “Well, I love robots, so what? Do you have one? I like them, and
I want them.”
Suri: “Fine, fine, you win. But that piece of junk you have is useless except for taking your beatings. I, on the other hand, have the world’s greatest man who’s good at cooking and treats me super well. You’re destined to be single.”
Rachel: “My robot can handle any amount of beating and scolding without getting angry. Can your man do that?”
And like this, the two continued boasting about their respective partners.
Yigol found the two women’s antics both funny and speechless.
No wonder they say that wherever there are women, there are wars. This made him understand why the ancient emperors’ harems had so many issues.
These women are experts at nitpicking. If there were more of them, would they still get along this well?
After chatting for a while, Suri slowly found herself at a disadvantage. Rachel really had a unique ability to argue, bringing up all sorts of things from heaven and earth.
Yigol had heard from Suri that Rachel liked to play car racing in her free time and had a complicated social circle. Suri, on the other hand, had a much simpler one and no one to really argue with. No wonder she was no match for Rachel.
But, Suri refused to admit defeat to Rachel just like that, and said angrily: “So what if you have a trashy iron man? My man has an iron man too, not just one but many, and of much higher quality, way better than yours.”
“Have vou seen ‘Future World’? My man has robots that are almost identical to real humans.”
Seeing Suri’s wild bragging, Yigol thought that he would soon receive a reward from the System.
Suri really found herself a great bestie since she had already bragged about him several times in front of Rachel.
His cooking skills, having a battle-hardened stamina in certain aspects, and now this time.
Yigol thought that when he was alone, he could receive the System’s reward.
He was really curious about what kind of robot the System would send.
After contributing so much, should he be nicer to his wife’s bestie?
After thinking about it, Yigol shook his head and decided against it. Otherwise, it might cause misunderstandings and trouble.
Yigol curiously looked at Suri’s phone and saw Rachel’s message: “You’re a lying woman, making outrageous claims. Don’t you know that the famous company trying to create humanoid robots still hasn’t succeeded?”
“Let alone using it. Even with my family connections, I barely got a chance to see one. If your man has even better robots, has he become a god? Is he still human?
Yigol couldn’t help laughing and said to Suri: “Alright, dear, stop bickering with her. But, I really like how you trust me so much.”
“Like my ass! I’ve practically lost face all the way to my grandma’s house. I thought that since you are so rich and can buy whatever you want, you’d at least have one like those on TV. Who would’ve thought they were still in the experimental stage? Sigh.”
“That foul woman will probably ridicule me in the future. Eh, the thought of being laughed at by her, I just can’t be happy.”
Yigol stroked Suri’s head and reassured her: “It may not necessarily be a bad thing. Alright, my dear, let’s go to sleep. I’ll surprise you with something incredible tomorrow. It’s no big deal that you talked big. We’ll have plenty of opportunities to strike back at Rachel.”
“Dear, you go to sleep first, I need to use the bathroom…”
He needed to give himself some space, or the System’s reward might get delayed.
If Suri hadn’t been so angry, he wouldn’t be in such a hurry. Even if the reward came tomorrow, it wouldn’t matter to him. But for her to stop being upset, he might as well get it sooner to help his wife save face in front of her bestie.
Seeing Yigol about to leave, the already upset Suri got even more upset.
“You’re going too far! Your wife is being bullied, yet you’re not helping at all, only offering a few words of comfort.”
Yigol couldn’t help but laugh: “How am I supposed to help you? Should I go bully your bestie with you?”
“Get out of here! I don’t want to see you.” Suri angrily chased him away.
Yigol hastily made his way to the bathroom, and as expected, he immediately heard the System sound in his mind.
“Ding, the System detected that the host is alone and will reward a ‘Future World’ housekeeping robot that lasts for 10,000 years. This robot can handle all housekeeping tasks and is a great non-combatant life assistant.
“This robot has the appearance and body temperature of a human, recharges for energy, can remain on standby for a month, and can recharge on its own. The host does not need to worry about it. Now, please choose the robot’s gender and special requirements, such as appearance and personality. Other settings can be made when the robot arrives. The robot can also learn and adapt according to the host’s requirements.”
Yigol was ecstatic, as the System had really rewarded him with a robot, and one that was pretty similar to what Suri had bragged about.
Previously, Suri had suggested finding a nanny or housekeeper, and Yigol was wondering what kind would be suitable. With this robot, he no longer had to worry about that.
At first, when the System asked what kind of appearance he wanted for the robot, Yigol instinctively thought of an old man or woman in their forties or
fifties.
