Chapter 134

In front of the castle, roses ran rampant, blooming into a floral disaster. Their fragrant aroma permeated the air, silently seeping into the hems of clothes, adding an unexpected touch of subtle perfume.

Jiang Yan bent down to search for the little mouse among the rose bushes while asking Angus, "How does it actually get its food?"

As she spoke, a black bat swooped down from the castle, seemingly carrying something in its mouth, and landed in the rose bushes.

Angus took Jiang Yan's hand, leading her to a different spot. There, they saw the bat place a piece of dried meat on the ground. Suddenly, the surrounding roses began to shake, as if something was moving beneath them.

Soon after, a small mouse emerged from under the flowers, grabbing the dried meat and starting to nibble on it. Having successfully delivered the food, the bat flapped its wings and flew away.

Angus whispered in Jiang Yan's ear, "Little Mouse is very silly. It's the only mouse here and quite foolish, unable to find food on its own. That bat is called Amita. It's Little Mouse's good friend, extremely loyal and generous, stealing food from my castle every day to feed the mouse..."

For some reason, this was rather amusing.

Satisfied with her curiosity, Jiang Yan was led by Angus into the castle. Behind them, the ornate gate at the front of the garden slowly closed, unnoticed by Jiang Yan.

At the entrance of the castle, a black cat with emerald green eyes lounged lazily, still licking its paws even as it noticed their arrival.

Jiang Yan suddenly remembered that both the little mouse and the cat were hers now! And also... the red wine and the secret jewelry room!

She immediately asked Angus to fetch the wine, then slipped into her own secret room. Despite the absence of sunlight, she felt dazzled the moment she entered.

An entire wall was covered with large raw jade stones, their exposed parts all of the highest quality. Against another wall stood a cabinet with multiple shelves, each containing more than a dozen compartments. One level held large pigeon blood rubies, another colorful diamonds, yet another gold and silver, and below were pearls, ivory, amber, beeswax...

No wonder he seemed so reluctant when giving them to her.

Angus quickly returned with the wine. The thin, purple-red liquid in its exquisite bottle looked incredibly enticing.

Jiang Yan opened the cork right there in the secret room and sat down. Angus, surrounded by what was once his treasure, understood why she was so happy.

But it didn't matter. Angus also opened a bottle of wine, clinking the neck of his bottle against Jiang Yan's, producing a crisp, pleasant sound.

After all, the treasure was his again now.

The rich aroma of wine spread through the air. Though it tasted like fruit juice, it packed quite a punch.

Surprisingly, Angus was the first to get drunk. This was completely unexpected. He had initially planned to seduce Jiang Yan, but halfway through the bottle, he could only hug it and smile at her.

Jiang Yan felt a bit dizzy too, but even in her haze, she still had an eye for beauty. Like the man smiling at her now.

Oh my, his lips looked so red and lovely, so moist and kissable...

Jiang Yan put down her bottle and wobbled her way towards Angus.

For someone drunk, even these few steps became a long journey. Finally, Jiang Yan managed to clamber onto Angus.

The wine bottle in Angus's hand was taken away and discarded. He looked down at Jiang Yan in confusion, feeling a little upset.

But Jiang Yan was climbing onto him, crumpling his white shirt. Angus didn't know what she was up to, and though annoyed, he still held her, worried she might fall and hurt herself.

Just as he was puzzled and dazed, sweet lips finally pressed against his own.

His little darling was now lying on top of him, clutching his shirt, kissing him... For a moment, Angus almost sobered up, but the effects of the wine were too strong, and his rationality quickly faded again.

Jiang Yan was actually quite skilled! She just never had the chance to show it before.

She sat on Angus, kissing his lips, cheeks, and forehead. When Angus became anxious and uncomfortable, she pulled back to unbutton his shirt.

Buttons are always tricky, especially for someone drunk. Jiang Yan fumbled with both hands, taking a long time to undo just one button.

Looking up, she saw Angus watching her with discomfort, his eyes red as if enduring some torment, almost on the verge of tears.

The drunken Angus seemed to reveal his true nature, completely clueless about such matters. Jiang Yan could only soothe him with more kisses before returning to the buttons.

This cycle repeated several times, and by the time Angus's intoxication began to subside, Jiang Yan still hadn't managed to undo all the buttons.

Angus squinted, adjusting his position with a light gasp, one arm around her waist.

Suddenly, her hand was caught. Jiang Yan looked up in confusion. Angus kissed her face, praising her in a suppressed voice, "Very good, continue."

His long fingers guided her to undo the buttons one by one.
