"Did something happen to her?" After she realized what she had said, she quickly covered her mouth. She didn't want that to come true.

"She'll be fine," Kevin said. He was really saying this to comfort himself. He was really worried. He checked out the other cars as they headed back, just in case she really was trying to catch up to him.
