Chapter 309 - 310: Tears (3)
However, he had to admit, Xue Feifei’s sudden attack left him a bit… bewildered.
Initialy, Xue Feifei lunging at him provoked nothing but annoyance. He wasn’t some naive boy with no world experience, to be floored by a simple trick like this. But then, every time he tried to push her away, with Huang Qichu watching so closely, Xue Feifei was not willing!
Her acting career these years has mostly been portraying vampish supporting actresses, who were often bold and charmingly beguiling to men. Since things were already at this point, Xue Feifei decided to pull out all the stops. She treated him like a protagonist in one of her movies, employing every trick she has; praying that he doesn’t speak out, doesn’t push her away, and that Huang Qichu wouldn’t see her face.
Yu Sixing went from being slightly annoyed, to somewhat embarrassed, and finally, as if compelled by some unknown force, he reached out his arm and wrapped it around her waist.
Xue Feifei is now an actress, her frame is small and tiny. Despite having some meat on the bones, she doesn’t look fat, a rarity in the entertainment industry indeed. At least, Yu Sixing found the woman pressed against him to have enchanting curves. Her waist was so thin, irresistible to grasp. But it was also incredibly flexible, incredibly soft, making his heart itch a little.
Plus, he had been single for several months now since breaking up with his ex-girlfriend and hadn’t been with a woman since. Moreover, during his encounters with Xue Feifei he learned that she remained underrated because she didn’t have any scandalous rumours, no boyfriend, and refused to play by the rules. At the very least, being clean meant she wouldn’t arouse his disgust.
The pair, one engaged and the other equally indulgent, seemed inseparable.
The three bystanders felt slightly dazed by what they were witnessing, and with the wedding impending, Huang Qichu and Yu Sihua could not afford to stick around.
Seeing the pair get closer, ending with Yu Sixing spinning her around, pinning her against the wall, without sparing her so much as a glance – Qin Zhimei felt a sting. She was carefree around Lu Weixi, but in front of Yu Sixing, she was so upset she started tearing up. Forgetting all about being a bridesmaid, she ran outside.
Whether she left or stayed, it really didn’t matter to Sixing. However, when the sounds of the wedding march echoed from behind Xue Feifei, she shuddered slightly and a lone tear slid involuntarily down her cheek.
Yu Sixing, at this time enjoying himself, was suddenly taken aback by a hint of salty bitterness at the corner of his lips. His brow furrowed slightly, and he pulled away just a little.
Only by pulling away did he realise the woman before him had an empty look in her eyes, the tears silently rolling down her cheeks.
Yu Sixing had seen her when she was arrogantly cheerful, when she was drunk and causing a fuss, when she was kicking him square in the vital region without mercy, and just moments ago — passionately intimate. However, he had never seen her like this. It was like she had been through something so heartbreaking it was unbearable.
The women around Yu Sixing were of two kinds, dutiful housewives who were treated as official girlfriends and the flighty ones who he would at most engage in small talk and drinks but never crossing any line. The dutiful women were not as bold as Xue Feifei and the fleeting ones were looked down upon by him. But however they were, none ever cried like this in front of him.
Men tend to feel more compassionate than usual towards crying women, especially ones who are beautiful, and especially ones they have just kissed.
Speaking soft, Yu Sixing said: “Don’t cry, don’t cry..”
