Chapter 109 Flying An Amun
Zeras looked up at the stars seeing they looked a bit different from that of Earth as while Earth\'s stars usually shone a white light, the stars radiated different colours of light, while green and blue halo littered the cloudless sky.
" I heard you left for the war..." Natasha suddenly said quietly beside him as she turned her face down to her legs, trying to hide her expression.
"I was just doing my part for the settlement, and maybe perhaps more..." Theo muttered as he looked up at the night sky. "I thought you\'d..." Natasha said as she bit her lips tightly not finishing her words.
"Oh, is the most beautiful Humban worried about me?..." Theo asked in a playful voice causing Natasha\'s face to turn a bit red but her expression steeled as she gently whispered.
"I am..." Zeras looked at the female before him as he couldn\'t help but think of the figure named Theo that he morphed into. Zeras had no idea why he chose to join the war and got himself killed by the Plasma beam. According to what he heard, it seems Theo was a really shy person afraid of proposing to Natasha and also very timid as Zeras noticed how his other friends treated him, slapping him on his head and making fun of him. To Zeras, it seems Theo was a person looking for recognition and confidence, making him decide to join the war. But fortunately or unfortunately, he met his demise.
"You don\'t need to worry about me Natasha, I\'ll be fine, no matter the situation..." Theo said as he looked back up and suddenly widened his eyes as he saw what flew right above him. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
It was the image of a gigantic eagle-like bird, with completely golden feathers that flew high above them and soared into the distance, but what shocked him the most was the two Humbans he saw sitting on its back.
"Is that??..." Zeras asked shocked speechless.
"An Amun..." Natasha said looking at the large golden-coloured bird, with longing in her eyes, something Zeras didn\'t fail to notice.
Zeras was stunned looking at the bird as his heart beat in anticipation of him flying. Flying something else more than a spaceship. Would the experience be different?
"Do you want to try it too?" Zeras said as he stood up from the ground before extending his hands forward and dragging Natasha up.
Natasha looked at him in shock as she couldn\'t believe Theo just asked her if she was going to ride an Amun.
It had to be known that the Amun can only be ridden by two partners who have greatly developed their love and come to a decision. This was what she had forever been waiting for. But Theo never said a word on seeing that and Natasha knew why, he was simply scared of the heights. Now seeing Theo offering her his hands for them to ride the Amun, it was an emotion so surreal she couldn\'t phantom.
"I do..." Natasha said as she took the hand and they both slowly headed towards the distance where the pack of eagles could be seen.

Zeras arrived before the place where the eagles were tied to. Arriving before one of the eagles, his hands extended forward as he touched the large bird on its head gently scrubbing the golden feathers.
"It\'s so beautiful..." Zeras muttered to himself as he slowly walked to its back, exerting a little strength in his legs, he swiftly jumped up as he sat on the eagle in one swift motion.
He looked at Natasha who stood there looking at him from below with a dazed expression.
He extended his hands towards her as she took it and with one fluid motion, Zeras dragged her up the eagle as he sat at the front holding the reins that were tied around the eagle\'s neck.
His heart began beating fast in expectation as this was Zera\'s first time riding a bird. Besides this was a bird, not a spaceship, so he had a lot to learn regarding the drive.
Once he felt Natasha properly seated, Zeras took hold of its rein as he grabbed hold of the rope and...
"HYAAAAAAAAAH..." Zeras suddenly screamed out but he was dumbfounded when he saw the eagle didn\'t even move a single inch.
\'What the?\' Zeras raised an eyebrow looking at the eagle as he wondered why it wasn\'t moving.
"HYAAAAAAAAH"
HYAAAAAAAAAH"
"HYAAAAAAAAAH"
After three screaming, he stopped as he thought out loud to himself.
"Is this eagle defected?" "Giggle..."
The sound of soft giggling echoed out to him from behind as he looked at Natasha who seemed to be trying her best to hold back her laughter.
"Ah, go on, you can mock me..." Zeras said with a resigned expression as tingling laughter rang throughout the place and Zeras even saw the other eagles looking at him as if he was a fool.
"Tch, damn eagles." Zeras didn\'t even understand how the bird seemed to have intelligence in the first place. It said they were a descendant of some ancient birds making him wonder just what type of best would that be and just how intelligent the beast would be.
After a minute of continued laughter, Natasha finally got a hold of herself as she turned her attention to Zeras...
"Um, who taught you how to ride an Amun like that..." Natasha said looking at him with a mocking smirk on her face.
"It seems you never paid much attention to the elders\' instruction. Let me teach you then..." Natasha leaned closer to him from behind as her hand grabbed onto his.
Zera\'s face immediately became red like that of a tomato as he felt an extremely soft object touching his back from behind, while the hot breath of Natasha continuously caressed his neck.
"The Amun is the most intelligent creature in the world and the last descendant of Ancient Kiro. You only need to give the signal or should I say make your intentions known and they\'ll follow you..." Holding onto his hands which tightly clenched the rope, Natasha gently pulled back the rope, and Zeras felt the eagle slowly shake.
"Screeeeeeeeeeecccchhhh" A powerful screech echoed throughout the night as the eagle immediately took to the air.
Zera\'s heartfelt to him would soon burst out as he felt the air rapidly slamming on his face while Natasha held on tightly to his stomach from behind, burrowing into him for comfort.
His heart pumped rapidly in his chest as the eagle soared higher and higher into the air, the ground beneath quickly becoming smaller than ants while dark and pink hair mixed in the wind as Zeras felt an emotion he had never felt this deeply before.
PEACE.
If one were to ask him, which one was more memorable flying a spaceship or an Amun? Zeras had a definite answer...
An Amun was definitely better. Why?
Because it felt more real.
