Vol. 9 - Chapter 469 - A Round of Games, the setting sun. An Approaching End.

The beach game was favourable taken by everyone so our next plan was further taken by even more games to match the excitement.

The first beach game, after the watermelon event, was beach flag; a game where you lie face down and dash to grab the flag hoisted at a distance receiving the go signal.

Typically, it was to be seen that the flag was planted in the dry sand for sure. There are quite a lot who start with a head slide and since wet sand had far more cohesion and rigidity than dried sand, the chance of injury in just swimsuits was naturally higher.

Well, given the mechanism of DEF and HP in this world, that might not even put a scratch on them...I guess.

Oh, and yeah, it\'s also a no-go to wait for the starting signal with a face lying down on a hot stand. It\'s a game after all, not the endurance taste of who can last long in the hot sand.

So the game starting line was set in wet sand. For a general layout, players would start from the seaward side, while the flag was planted toward dry sand.

If watermelon splitting event was game of STR, then beach flag was the stage for AGI holders. Though unlike STR, AGI was something that everyone had poured some of their points into at least so it was quite a neck-to-neck competition with impressive moves.

There were rewards for the winner, since what was a game without it, eh? Well, that was just sweet or juice. And boy, would you imagine my surprise when I saw Hannah, who should have low AGI, snagging the prize.

Ahem, anyway, our next game was, once again, a classic; beach volleyball!

We settled on 2vs2 tema format.

Man, that was crazy I tell you. It was like a game between superhumans.

Ester jumping high and serving the ball---which ended up flying till the wall of the inlet was a sight to behold. Holy smoke, it went like a torpedo.

Since it was beach volleyball, I thought to start with Ester but it made my head turn in an unexpected moment...the scene was quite visually striking. Yeah, in a way, that was truly a novel experience.

Was it the norm for <Dungeon Activity>? As expected of the game rated B (for kids above 12 and up).

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the beach volleyball, and just tossed around the beach ball instead.

We also did a buried treasure hunt game; collecting hidden cards buried in the sand to save up points. It was quite a strange feeling, when at sea, it just unconsciously spurred you to try it out.

The rules were simple; each card had points written on them and whoever gathered the most of them within the time frame would win and receive a lavish prize. It was also a first come first served, given our large group.

Though, speaking of, rules do get additional add-on depending on the region.

In our game, there were also some unique cards, like with a quiz which would earn the finder a huge point if they could solve it, one that was a gift card, one that could be exchanged with sweets etc. There were also discount cards for stores.

In my case, I had slipped in a free ticket that could be used at Marie-senpai\'s store. Besides, status wasn\'t useful in this type of game as well which makes everyone an equal competitor...or that was how it should have been.

"Here, here...and here too."

"Wait, Karua. Members with \'Intuition\' are out of the game."

"......Meow!?"

Yeah, while skills were banned, passive skills were another matter.

Somehow, mine and Karua\'s \'intuition\' gave us a hint where something might be buried, so that earned both of us a disqualification ticket. Oh, yeah, I forgot but \'Intuition\' did point at the treasure as well, huh.

Alright, I will treat Karua with delicious curry later for an apology.

By the way, the free ticket was discovered by Rina. And her bright-red face, almost like a ripe tomato, was something to look for when I congratulated her. That alone made it successful.

On the other hand, though, Lana, Hannah and Aegis-senpai were giving her some serious envious gaze......

In the end, everyone had fun playing all sorts of games. It was to the point we didn\'t even notice when the scorching sunshine was replaced by the orange hue of sunset.

The excitement of girls, who would occasionally jump back into the sea while giggling, had also calmed down at this juncture as they turned to take a rest, or just floated while using a floating ring as support. In fact, Nico with nearly zero stamina was already sleeping.

"Zephyr, let\'s get the dinner done. We also have to prepare for night activities."

"Fuhahaha, indeed. We have that waiting at night. Mert, Celestine, let\'s start!"

"Understood. I will process the ingredients."

We, the boy\'s faction, still had plenty of stamina left so we took the helm here. Mert also seemed full of energy. I guess he couldn\'t integrate himself within the girl\'s group well so he didn\'t spend much on activities.

Well, I guess that\'s how he\'s huh? A personality so straight he couldn\'t hang out with girls assertively.

The dinner was seafood curry by the way. It seemed like Mert and Celestine had spent their free time fishing in the afternoon and collected a huge amount of ingredients (seafood). We used them in abundance.

With the temperature cooling down, a warm serving of curry would surely give them energy I bet. I guess curry had truly become a staple in our group. I was somehow craving a seafood rice bowl though...let\'s eat it later.

Anyway, with this, I was going to recharge everyone\'s beaten spirit for the night event!

I had been preparing curry while thinking about later action when its aroma lured in a cat! Doesn\'t it go like Beep-Beep-Bop! You fished a curry-loving cat! in game? Just kidding.

"Meow."

"Ahem, are you hungry? Just a second...and here. Have your fill. Feel free to ask for more~."

"I like you, Zephyr."

I seemed to have earned the favorability of our resident cat when I gave her seafood curry seeing her purring like a cat.

Rest of the group had also gathered together and we began our dinner.

"Uh-huh, it would be the end of our trip with this curry huh."

"I know right, I wanted to play more. In fact, I also wanted to play tomorrow as well!"

"It was fun. I would love to come here once again."

The Harmonic Trip murmured in melancholy, as if they didn\'t want to part with the sea.

The sun had already set so there was no more time to dip into the sea.

Aegis-senpai gave everyone a heads up about our next activity.

"Everyone, please get changed after dinner. Oh, and get your equipment ready as well as we have one last event left apparently."

Indeed, one more event before the end.

After dinner, we set up <Shower>---a portable makeshift bath item---in one of the corner areas where we took turns bathing, and changed our clothes. It was basically a simple item that could store water and let it out like a shower. However what made it convenient was it could also be filled with hot water, and by storing it into the <Item Bag> which has the function of time stop, you could have a hot shower anywhere!

There was also <Refresh>, but I guess it was just in human nature to seek for a body wash after dipping into the sea. So we rented one. Of course, that was a craze among girls.

In the meantime girls had gone out for their shower and dress change, we took this chance to swiftly complete our work. And in the end, setup <Light> item since it had become dark in the area.

<Light> could also be used during night games so because of that, it was illuminating the night like afternoon time. It was a bit too bright for taste so I had it set up somewhere far.

I had just done it when I sensed someone approaching.

"We\'re done, Zephyr."

I quietly turned around hearing Sierra\'s voice.

Alright, all done. It\'s the time for the staple of Summer Extra-Dungeon <Sea-Dun>; Let\'s raise the curtain on Ghost Ship In Night Exploration!
