Chapter 1005: Accumuland Growth

Chapter 1005: Accumuland Growth

He decided to delegate all the visitors to Beidou, even temporarily taking charge of the Gym himself, while he spent each day in the Ecopark.

During these days, Yuga leisurely trained with his Pokémon, chatted with Deoxys, consulted with Dragonite's mother and Dusknoir about training methods...and doesn't care about anything else.

The Rotom Pokédex had been successfully transferred to the Haunted Mansion Sub-Ecopark for learning. It had become a great companion with the Porygon, which Professor Birch had given to Yuga.

Porygon was not only helping Windy with his work every day, but also spending its leisure time with the Rotom Pokédex. It also shared its collected knowledge with Rotom Pokédex after careful selection.

Porygon had advantage to roam freely in the digital world made searching for information on the internet extremely easy. On the other hand, the Rotom Pokédex possessed exceptional learning, computational, and knowledge storage capabilities.

The partnership between the two allowed the Rotom Pokédex to grow rapidly.

To help Decidueye learn archery, Yuga reached out to Ryuichi in Mauville City. Unfortunately, Ryuichi's Decidueye wasn't skilled in archery.

Ryuichi's Decidueye had explored the Spirit Shackle move extensively, excelling in its use. However, it had focused on harnessing the elusive properties of ghost-type moves rather than mastering archery.

This differed from Yuga's vision for Decidueye. Yuga aimed to enhance its Spirit Shackle by mastering archery techniques, prioritizing one-hit kills.

Ryuichi's Decidueye had the Overgrow ability, whereas Yuga's Decidueye possessed the hidden ability Long Reach. Their differing abilities influenced their move preferences and inclinations.

Yuga's Decidueye preferred the satisfaction of hitting opponents from a distance with a single arrow.

Although Ryuichi's Decidueye couldn't provide much guidance in archery, Yuga still transferred his Decidueye to Mauville City to spend some time there.

The father and daughter Decidueye had not met for a long time, and Yuga saw it as an opportunity for them to become acquainted. Moreover, Ryuichi's Decidueye, being an Elite level Pokémon, had much to offer in other aspects of training.

In a blink of an eye, over three months had passed. Yuga's Three month accumulaton had yielded significant results.

First, in his second team of Pokémon, both Serperior and Sawsbuck successfully reached the Elite level, significantly boosting their power.

In Yuga's second team, aside from Torterra and Roserade who is already breakthrough. Bellossom, Venusaur, Breloom, Serperior, and Sawsbuck had all lingered at the pseudo-Elite level for a long time.

Serperior and Sawsbuck, both with Indigo potential, found it relatively easier to break through. The remaining Pokémon with blue potential, like Bellossom, Venusaur, and Breloom, would likely require more time for their advancement.

Secondly, Dragonite's mother, who had been stuck at the peak Champion level for a long time, finally crossed the threshold to become a Master level Pokémon during a sparring session with Dusknoir. It became the second Master level Pokémon in Yuga's Ecopark.

After Dragonite's mother reached the Master level, she took Dragonite to retreat deep within the Dragon's Den Sub-Ecopark, and Yuga hadn't seen them for some time.

During these three months, Absol, Roserade, Mismagius, and Gengar had ventured to the Distortion World for training, and they hadn't returned yet. Yuga sent Mimikyu to replace Dragonite spot, and ask Mismagius and Gengar bring along Mimikyu with them.

Mimikyu, with its purple potential and the added energy from the Ghost World Origin Stone, was growing rapidly even when it spent most of its time as an otaku in Yuga's Shadow Space.

Mismagius and Gengar couldn't tolerate seeing Mimikyu waste its potential in the Shadow Space and decided to take it with them to the Distortion World. They believed its high potential shouldn't go to waste.

Finally, in the reserve team, Snover, Kartana, and Cosmoem had also made significant progress.

Snover, after accumulating considerable strength, had finally evolved into its final form, Abomasnow. Its power steadily caught up with Decidueye, which had evolved earlier, and even showed signs of surpassing it.

Abomasnow's rapid growth could be attributed to the special Moon Stones.

As the potential enhancement potion had been successfully researched, with no immediate room for improvement, the Malamar focused on studying these special Moon Stones.

Snover had initially undergone a mutation due to consuming a unique Moon Stone. The Malamar examined Abomasnow's physique and used Moon Stones to create a custom-made nutritional potion for it.

This nutritional potion was tailored for Abomasnow, while other Pokémon would find it as plain as water. But for Abomasnow, regular consumption enhanced its mutated traits, accelerating its growth.

After a period of consuming the nutritional potion, Yuga noticed that Abomasnow's potential aura, visible through his Insight ability, was gradually shifting from blue to indigo..

However, after this transformation, Abomasnow's potential growth rate significantly slowed down. Achieving a complete transformation into an indigo potential would still take a considerable amount of time.

Nonetheless, these changes were not the most significant ones.

During Abomasnow's training, Yuga gradually discovered that it was undergoing a second mutation, manifesting as an increasing translucence in its white body parts, resembling ice crystals. The green areas were becoming even lusher, resembling emeralds.

These physical changes endowed Abomasnow with a unique ability.

During the daytime, under sunlight, Abomasnow could collect solar energy through its green body parts, storing it. At night, it could harness lunar energy through its white parts, similarly accumulating moonlight energy.

This is a mutation of the Synthesis move that Grass-type Pokémon possess.

Observing how Abomasnow stored energy day and night, Yuga noticed that its body was flourishing like a real plant. The more energy it stored, the larger it grew in size.

With a larger body, Abomasnow could collect more energy. In just three short months, it had grown into a gigantic ice tree. The side effect of its increased size was a significantly slower speed, but in return, its attacking power became terrifying.

Initially, Yuga didn't understand the true purpose of the stored energy within Abomasnow's body. However, as combat training began, he noticed something unusual.

During battles, whenever Abomasnow sustained an injury, its wounds healed rapidly, almost like Recover move.

While other Pokémon had to take times to use Recover move in battle, Abomasnow's healing energy worked instantly, didn't interfere with its other moves, and couldn't be interrupted in mid-process.

After extended observation, Yuga gradually understood the mechanics.

The healing Abomasnow experienced was from the solar energy and moonlight energy it had collected and stored in its body. As long as these energies weren't depleted, Abomasnow remained in a state of near-infinite self recovery.

This had effectively transformed Abomasnow's Synthesis move into a passive skill.

And given Abomasnow's current state of growth, it seemed that this ability was still developing. In other words, its size would continue to increase, though to what extent, Yuga wasn't sure.

Yuga suspected that this recovery and growth ability might be the result of the Revival Herb found within the Moon Stone.

Of course, this special recovery ability had its drawbacks.

The most obvious one was that once the stored energy in Abomasnow's body was depleted, this ability would become useless. Additionally, Abomasnow couldn't actively use the Synthesis move during battles anymore.

Grass-type Pokémon's Synthesis divided into two type: first, Synthesis move is used for absorbing nutrients from the sun for daily use and second, Synthesis move is used for recovering injuries in battle.

Abomasnow's ability seemed to be a unique blend of these two functions.

Regular Grass-type Pokémon could store nutrients but couldn't recover injuries with Synthesis. Conversely, they could use the Synthesis move to recover injuries but couldn't store energy.

Abomasnow, while using Synthesis, not only met its daily nutritional requirements but also stored energy for healing. When needed, it could access this stored energy instantly.

The trade-off was that Abomasnow's body had lost the ability to activate Synthesis immediately during battles, to some extent, indicating a degeneration in its physical functions.

As for why Abomasnow could absorb moonlight energy, Yuga speculated it was due to the influence of the Moon Stone, causing this mutation.

There was another benefit to this transformation: Abomasnow's food expenses decreased as its body relied more on nutritional potion. Sometimes, simply taking the nutritional potion was enough to fulfill its body's needs.

Yuga had collected a significant number of special Moon Stones, enough to create nutritional potion to sustain Abomasnow for a long time.

After this second mutation, Yuga had high expectations for Abomasnow's future growth.

Next came Kartana's growth.

As an Ultra Beast, Yuga's Insight couldn't discern specific information about it, but purely in terms of combat strength, it could now rival Charizard.

In theory, the growth rate of an Ultra Beast like Kartana shouldn't have been this fast.

Yuga was initially perplexed, but he later learned from the system's explanation that it was all thanks to the few essence he had used before Kartana hatched.

As a purple grade item, second only to golden items in the system store, the true purpose of the essence was finally showing itself.

The one who had made the most significant progress was Cosmoem.

Yuga had invested a considerable amount in nurturing Cosmoem. It not only depleted his resources in terms of Pokéblock but also had different incense requirements compared to regular Pokémon.

The influence of incense on regular Pokémon was subtle and accumulated over an extended period before its effects became evident.

However, when Cosmoem used incense, it consumed it as if it were eating. Even if it just take light breath of the incense, it can completely absorb the essence in just a few minutes.

To put it in perspective, a single incense stick, when lit, could affect an Elite Pokémon for at least an hour.

One could say that Cosmoem was a true "Golden Swallowing Beast," and Yuga's Pokémon Day Care was fortunate to have the capability to produce incense. Otherwise, it would have gone bankrupt long ago.

Despite Cosmoem's insatiable appetite for incense, its growth matched the money Yuga invested in it. In terms of momentum, it could already rival Lapras (given its excellent inherent potential).

However, in terms of actual battle capability, Cosmoem was almost useless. It only had two abilities: Cosmic Power and Teleport, both of which were transformation move and didn't contribute to its battle prowess. Its sole advantage was only it can withstand beatings.

Relying on Cosmoem in a battle was less effective than Yuga using it as a instrument to beating people to intimidate others.

With its remarkable weight, being struck by Cosmoem would probably be... quiet painful.

Three months had passed, and the fervor around the Rustboro City incident was slowly diminishing. The entire city was busy with reconstruction efforts.

Rayquaza's destruction had caused substantial losses in Rustboro City, and the Hoenn League had to bear the full cost of reconstruction, which lessened the attention on Yuga.

However, not all consequences of this situation were negative for Yuga.

Due to the incident, the business at both the YoYo Day Care and the Pokémon Park had been booming for these three months. Many people tried to extract information from Yuga's employees, both directly and indirectly, but the stores were indeed making more money.

Moreover, when Yuga returned from Rustboro City, he didn't discuss the details of the incident with his employees. Though people were curious, they didn't pry too much, and those who wished to inquire found it difficult to extract information.

At the beginning, some individuals attempted to cause trouble near the YoYo Day Care and Pokémon Park, but after the patrolling Pokémon disciplined them a few times, those with ulterior motives had no choice but to behave themselves.

As the fervor gradually receded, most of the people who had gathered in Verdanturf Town to glean information retreated, and the town began to regain its tranquility.

During this period, Yuga observed significant progress in his Pokémon. Additionally, he was delighted that his new Ecopark was finally completed.

In three months, despite the underlying tensions in Verdanturf Town, the construction of Yuga's Ecopark proceeded without disruption. Although Yuga hadn't visited the construction site, Mr. Daichi occasionally visited the store to update Yuga on the park's progress.

So Yuga's Ecopark was successfully completed!

The new Ecopark was quite spacious, because it is used to cover up the existence of the Sub-Ecopark. Yuga plans was to move all the Pokémon in the Sub-Ecopark who are not green potential into the new Ecopark.

Anyway, others can't see the differences with the naked eye.

Thanks to the creation of the Potential Enhancement Potion, the potentials of many Pokémon in Yuga's Ecopark had improved, and even those with low potentials had increased by at least one-fifth. As a result, the number of Pokémon moving to the new Ecopark was much smaller than expected.

The completion of the new Ecopark didn't draw much attention from others. Yuga celebrated by having a simple meal with his employees and his aunt's family.
