Chapter 390: Tracking
Chapter 390: Tracking
"Why is this person seemingly watching me when he clearly doesn\'t like me?" Yuga wondered.
Unbeknownst to Yuga, as soon as Butler had entered, the Chatot on Yuga\'s shoulder had gone stiff, desperately trying to reduce its presence. It stood silent and avoided glancing at Butler.
After the meal, the Chatot was drenched in sweat. In the end, neither Yuga nor Genos paid for the meal, and Glenn\'s father wouldn\'t think of making his son\'s friend pay for dinner.
Yuga didn\'t plan to stay in Mauville City for long as he needed to return to Verdanturf Town. He prepared to bid farewell to Glenn and the others.
"Yuga, if you have time, come back to Mauville City for a visit. I\'ll make sure to treat you well," Glenn said with a hint of reluctance.
"But aren\'t you planning to travel? Are you sure you\'ll be at home if I come back, or was that just to placate me?" Yuga teased.
"Uh..." Glenn was at a loss for words.
"Big brother, you can rest assured and come visit anytime. I\'m always here in Mauville City," Adrielle chimed in, looking provocatively at Glenn and making him grind his teeth in frustration.
Yuga had given up on trying to reason with these two childish individuals.
"Mr. Genos, I bid you farewell," Yuga said to Genos.
"Alright, take care!" Genos thought, "Finally, he\'s gone. Hopefully, he\'ll never come back!"
As Yuga turned to leave, he didn\'t notice that Butler had been watching his shoulder where the Chatot was perched.
Once out of the city limits of Mauville City, Yuga summoned his Dragonair and took off. Reggie had mentioned he would visit Verdanturf Town soon, and it would be embarrassing if Reggie arrived while Yuga was still away.
However, Yuga hadn\'t flown far when he sensed that he was being followed.
"Chatot, come out and see if there\'s someone trailing us from behind," Yuga said to the Chatot hidden in his hat.
The Chatot twisted its head a few times, poking it out of Yuga\'s hat to observe. It confirmed Yuga\'s suspicions; there was indeed someone trailing them at a distance.
Once the person\'s appearance became clear, the Chatot immediately retracted, nervously advising, "Yes... there is someone following us. Let\'s shake them off quickly."
"Shake them off?" Yuga chuckled. "Since they\'ve already followed us, let\'s meet them."
"No...no need for that. It\'s better to lose them, it\'s not worth the trouble," the Chatot said nervously.
Yuga suddenly found the Chatot\'s reaction strange and asked curiously, "What\'s going on? Do you know this person?"
"No... I don\'t know him!" the Chatot quickly denied.
"Well, you seem to know him somehow," Yuga said. "You were stammering just now. Is it because he\'s Butler?"
"Butler? Yes, it\'s Mr. Butler," the Chatot admitted hesitantly.
Butler? Why would he be following me?
"Since it\'s Mr. Butler, it\'s even more reason to meet him," Yuga decided.
With that, Yuga directed his Dragonair to dive into the forest below, disappearing from sight. The Chatot had no time to stop him.
Seeing Yuga\'s descent, Butler immediately signaled his Salamence to descend as well. Once on the ground, he looked around puzzled.
Strange, where did he go?
"Mr. Butler, were you looking for me?" Yuga\'s voice suddenly came from nearby.
Yuga leaped down from the treetop of a tree.
"Salamence! The enemy seems a bit tricky!"
...

Type: Dragon, Flying
Ability: Intimidate
Gender: Male
Potential: Green
Level: 52
Skills: Flame Fang, Dragon Breath, Bite, Stare, Scaryt Face, Rage, Flamethrower, Steel Wings, Fly
...
After reviewing the Salamence\'s information, Yuga breathed a sigh of relief. It had just reached level fifty, which was manageable. Additionally, its green potential was the lowest among the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, making it ordinary in that regard.
Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon were sought after because of their superior racial characteristics and potential, often having at least green potential as the lowest tier, though the blue potential is rare and Indigo potential was even rarer.
Despite this rarity, exceptionally talented Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon were enough to capture the admiration of all trainers. Unfortunately, they were incredibly scarce.
"Mr. Shimizu, I don\'t want to cause you any trouble. Just hand over that Chatot," Butler said arrogantly, using a commanding tone and even adding an element of threat.
To capture the Chatot? Not to find him? Yuga was completely surprised.
Chatot is just a low-level, weak, and talkative ordinary Pokémon, with no other advantages apart from being able to speak fluent human language. What does this person want with a chatot?
Thinking back to their previous strange behavior, Yuga suddenly realized something.
They knew each other!
"Chatot, come here!"
Yuga called out to the tree canopy behind him, and Chatot reluctantly flew out.
"Do you know each other?" Yuga asked.
"Oh, didn\'t I tell you already? I used to be in the circus, and this person was there too!" the Chatot whispered in Yuga\'s ear.
"So, why would he be chasing after you? You\'re so useless!" Yuga couldn\'t comprehend.
Ouch, that hurts, dear! I\'m not that useless!
"Well, how would I know? Maybe he thinks I\'m handsome and wants to pursue me!" the Chatot stammered.
Yuga instantly realized the bird wasn\'t telling the truth. This annoying bird had a secret!
"I\'m sorry, Mr. Butler, but the Chatot is my Pokémon. I have no intention of handing it over to anyone," Yuga said, turning his attention back to Butler.
Who the hell are you? You think I\'ll just hand it over because you say so? Idiot! Yuga silently cursed.
Butler completely ignored Yuga and turned his gaze to the Chatot perched on Yuga\'s shoulder, saying, "Chatot, it\'s been a while. Won\'t you come over?"
"Hey, dear, he looks down on you!" the Chatot said slyly to Yuga.
"Shut up! You caused all this trouble. I\'ll deal with you later!" Yuga scolded the bird fiercely.
Under Yuga\'s scolding, the Chatot quickly covered its mouth and didn\'t dare to speak again.
