Chapter 858: Poison Gas
Chapter 858: Poison Gas
"Roar!"
Charizard let out a low growl and unexpectedly sat down on the ground. Likewise, Gengar and Malva\'s Chandelure appeared to be acting strangely.
"How are you both feeling?"
Yuga weakly asked Malva and Nick.
"We might have been poisoned."
Malva shook her head, struggling to stay conscious, her expression unusually serious.
"Damn it, I didn\'t expect them to have this trick up their sleeve. The space here has been sealed, and they might have released poison gas into the air."
Nick, who was having trouble standing, leaned against the wall and said harshly.
"Recall your Pokémon; their condition might worsen if you don\'t."
Malva said and promptly recalled her Chandelure.
Yuga nodded in agreement and recalled Charizard, sending Gengar back to the Shadow Space.
At this moment, the injured Annie and Oakley had risen once more, with the two female figures in black standing behind them.
"Old woman! Let\'s see how arrogant you can be now!"
Annie clutched her chest and walked over, her face filled with anger as she confronted Malva.
Annie had been seriously injured when she was thrown against the wall by the Chandelure earlier.
"You rats can only resort to such underhanded methods."
Malva retorted weakly, but her gaze remained sharp.
"What did you say? Who\'s a rat?"
Annie angrily moved to charge at Malva but was restrained by her younger sister Oakley.
"Sister, the important thing is the task at hand. Let\'s quickly retrieve the Pokémon."
"I\'ll let you off easy this time, old woman!" Annie huffed.
On the other side, Cynthia was also poisoned. She followed Yuga\'s lead and recalled Garchomp and Glaceon.
Mohn walked over, wearing a sly smile, and said to Cynthia, "I didn\'t expect to encounter a talented Trainer like you here today. It was a miscalculation on my part."
Cynthia simply looked at Mohn in silence, without uttering a word.
Those who hadn\'t completed their Pokémon Exchange, such as the Elite Four Bruno, Siebold, and Drake, had left the venue when Yuga and the others were receiving their Pokémon. That\'s why Mohn\'s group had been able to seal the entrance and exits of the venue.
The remaining individuals were mostly Trainers whose strength had dropped a notch. Even the high-ranking Trainers among them, like Yuga, Malva, or Wallace, had prepared themselves.
However, it was evident that they had underestimated the strength of Yuga and the League Elite Four. The combined efforts of Annie and Oakley were no match for Yuga and Malva.
Annie and Oakley were also well-known figures on the League\'s wanted list, but in terms of strength, they fell short compared to Yuga, let alone Malva.
Even Cynthia was beyond their expectations.
While Cynthia was famous in the Sinnoh region, she hadn\'t reached the level of fame in the entire Pokémon world, so Mohn\'s group hadn\'t considered her presence.
As for the early precautions taken against Yuga and Malva, it was primarily because the two had grown close to Nick recently.
Mohn\'s group had placed moles among the staff of the Aurora Day Care and the Five Giants, which naturally led to them noticing Yuga and Malva.
Cynthia, although she hadn\'t acquired any Pokémon during the auction, had no reason to leave early. She had decided to stay and meet with Yuga, which had inadvertently drawn her into this situation.
"Stop talling nonsense here, grab the Pokémon and leave. If it weren\'t for your greed, so many unexpected events wouldn\'t have happened today."
Oakley shouted at Mohn.
According to their original plan, they should have concentrated their forces to deal with Yuga and Malva, focusing on seizing Larvitar.
However, due to Mohn\'s greed, they had dispersed their forces, leading to frequent unexpected incidents that nearly backfired on them.
"Alright, I\'m coming!"
Mohn knew he was in the wrong and didn\'t argue with Oakley.
Just as Oakley reached out to search for Larvitar\'s Poké Ball on Nick, a vine abruptly coiled around her wrist and flung her forcefully away.
Bang!
Oakley, thrown through the air, collided with Mohn, resulting in another painful cry.
"Oakley!"
Annie shouted loudly, noticing that there was a Florges beside Yuga that had appeared out of nowhere, and she roared, "Do you want die?"
Yuga paid no heed to Annie\'s anger and said to Florges, "Florges, Aromatherapy!"
Florges nodded and a pink aroma began to spread out from its center, radiating in all directions.
Before long, Yuga, Malva, and the others felt that their symptoms from the poison had significantly improved, and their physical condition had improved considerably.
It\'s working! Yuga felt relieved.
"Impossible! How could Aromatherapy work against the poison gas?" Pushing Oakley off him, Mohn shouted in disbelief.
The poison gas they used had been specially developed, and Aromatherapy shouldn\'t have had any effect.
Yuga was a Grass-type Trainer, and they had taken that into consideration. Most Pokémon that could use Aromatherapy were Grass-types. They couldn\'t have overlooked that.
However, what they hadn\'t considered was that Yuga\'s Florges possessed a trace of divinity, a trait exclusive to Legendary Pokémon, which naturally made it different from ordinary Pokémon.
"What are you all waiting for? Hurry up and stop that Florges! Do you all want to be finished?" Mohn shouted at Annie, Oakley, and the two female figures in black.
Their main Pokémon were already incapacitated. If they allowed the opponent to recover, they would be helpless and at the mercy of their foes.
Annie and Oakley, now alert, released a Corsola and a Sandslash respectively and launched an attack on Florges.
Seeing this, Yuga released his Serperior, and a barrage of Leaf Storm swept through, rendering Corsola and Sandslash unconscious.
Over the years, Annie and Oakley had been able to dominate due to their previous Pokémon, including Espeon, Ariados, Vileplume, and Jynx. Corsola and Sandslash were just backup Pokémon and weren\'t particularly strong.
"Worthless!"
Mohn cursed silently and prepared to release his own Pokémon.
However, as he took out a Poké Ball, Serperior appeared by his side like a shadow, its long tail whipping across his abdomen.
Bang!
Mohn, sent flying backward, collided with a wall and passed out.
The two masked female figures were also ready to take action, but Serperior\'s piercing gaze fell upon them. With a flash of red light, both figures suddenly felt paralyzed, unable to move.
Annie and Oakley were too startled to react, and Serperior swiftly bestowed upon each of them a Glare move, leaving them paralyzed in place.
