Chapter 185: Kanto Vs Hoenn Final
Chapter 185: Kanto Vs Hoenn Final
Next, for a long time I have been thinking about how to make the novel more engaging. Then a candle lit up over my head and I came up with an idea. It was to create a Reddit community so that we could all discuss Pokemon theories about the novel.
Some of your suggestion from the community will be taken and be implied in the novel. So, go to the reddit community and join me. The community is called \'PokemonARealStory\'. The link is bellow:

"Let the final battle begin!!!"
"Aggron, \'Flamethrower\'"
"Piloswine, \'Mist\', \'Icy wind\' and \'Hail\'"
Both of them were successful in their moves. Axel took the risk of getting hit by \'Flamethrower\'. With Piloswine\'s ability, \'Thick fat\', fire-type attacks were less effective and Aggron had already lost a lot of stamina.
But fire type attacks were effective against Piloswine and it was hit by the attack. However, Axel had to set the battle in his favor to win.
In the previous battle, Poliwrath used \'Rain dance\' and \'Hail\' to support Piloswine in the next battle. This was the strategy that Axel had come up with.
Right now, the battle arena was filled with heavy rainfall, ice falling from the sky, cold wind and mist. The arena was not visible but Piloswine had been trained to fight in this type of battle arena so only Aggron was affected.
Using \'Hail\' again had caused a minute version of blizzard in the battle arena and Aggron was completely affected by it. Axel didn\'t plan to use any physical type moves due to Aggron\'s \'Iron defense\'. Though it was in its last legs he didn\'t want to take any chances.
"Piloswine, now \'Blizzard\'"
"Aggron, use \'Earth quake\' and then \'Dragon rush\'"
Both of the attacks were used at the same time. \'Blizzard\' had more power due to hail but Aggron\'s \'Earthquake\' was also not a joke. Both of them were hit by the attack but Aggron was much more affected.
Aggron had been battling for more than 30 minutes and was using stamina-consuming moves. It was a mystery how it was still standing.
Even though it was severely affected by \'Blizzard\', Aggron used \'Dragon rush\'. Using it, Aggron could tackle the foe while exhibiting overwhelming menace. It would increase Aggron\'s speed to a huge degree but it was just a short burst.
Steven wanted Aggron to get close to Piloswine to deal huge physical damage and end the match. Piloswine was still affected by \'Earthquake\', so it could not know what the hell was happening.
Seeing this, Steven gave his trademark smile of confidence. If the move hits, Piloswine would be heavily injured, and being in close proximity would almost guarantee his victory. When Wallace lost, he didn\'t know if there were going to win this battle but his Pokemon Aggron had turned the table. Finding Aggron was the luckiest moment of his life.
But his face turned to horror when Piloswine used another move. It suddenly dug a hole in the ground and disappeared. Aggron attack had missed.
Piloswine had used the move \'Dig\'.
Hail gave Piloswine the ability to increase its evasiveness, so it was able to use \'Dig\' within a limited period. Piloswine came out from the other end and hit Aggron with \'Dig\'.
"Now \'Icicle spear\' and finish it with \'Earthquake\'"
Before Aggron could notice what had happened, 5 spears made of sharp ice struck various parts of the body and the ground began the shake violently.
Piloswine had used \'Earthquake\' with full power holding nothing back and the impact was as Axel expected. The land started to crack and holes started to form trapping Aggron inside it and then there was a massive blast from the impact.
Due to mist and dust around, no one could say the result of the battle. But after a couple of minutes, the dust settled. Axel had already told Piloswine to use \'Hail\' again.
When the dust settled, everyone could see that Aggron was on the ground not moving an inch.
It had fainted.
For a movement, the whole arena was silent. Aggron had taken down 3 Pokemons from the Kanto team while also fighting at a type disadvantage. The strong defense and tactic from Steven showed how powerful Aggron could be.
"Axel has won the battle. Kanto team has won and now the unknown land will belong to Kanto region", shouted Boris declaring the end of the battle.
Though Kanto team had won, everyone had respect for Steven and Aggron. Training a Pokemon to such a degree within 2 months was commendable. Axel also respected Steven after this battle.
Steven and Axel shook hands. "It was a close battle. I didn\'t know if I could have won if your Aggron was in full health", said Axel. Those were true words. He was not sure if he could win against Aggron if it was in full health and stamina.
"You are just being modest. I know you still have many tricks. All in all, a loss is a loss. I should accept it.", replied Steven.
"Why don\'t we battle again to see who is stronger?", asked Axel.
"I would love that but some other time."
After saying that both of them parted ways.

One thing that made Axel confused what system notification. There was none. Axel had gotten a special quest when he fought with Lance, the future champion of the Kanto region. But the same had not happened with Steven. It might be as he didn\'t fight Aggron at its full strength.
The kanto team with their explorer was having a party to celebrate their victory. All of them were in high spirits except for Axel.
If Steven was this strong, how powerful is Cynthia? This was what made Axel tremble.
"You won the battle but you don\'t seem very happy? Is something on your mind Axel?"
Axel turned around and saw that Boris was walking up to him.
"I am not happy with the victory. I may not have won if Aggron was in full health"
"But a win is still a win. You should celebrate."
"Why? I am not confident about winning with Steven. If he could train a random Pokemon to such a degree in 2 months, what about his other Pokemon who have been with him since he was a child? And there are other trainers who are more powerful than Steven. How could I possibly win against them?". Axel had a bit much to drink. He was spewing what was on his mind.
"You don\'t understand Axel. Being a trainer doesn\'t only mean that you should have powerful Pokemon"
"What do you mean?"
