Most of its moves were at level 39 and some of the moves that it had learned recently were not well developed. Its stats were satisfactory but they were not as high as Togetic or even Aerodactyl. Of course, Primeape was not slacking off. There was a good reason for it.
The reason was its ability \'Vital Spirit\'. \'Vital Spirit\' would not let it sleep properly. The ability would also passively disturb its mind due to the lack of sleep. So, Primeape had to seriously train and master this ability. Unless it masters its ability, it would be held down and it would have to suffer a lot.
So, a lot of time was spent mastering this ability. Mastering an ability was not an easy task. Normally, Axel\'s Pokemons normally reach pseudo-king rank or even king rank when they master their ability but Primeape had to do it as fast as it could.
Now it had mastered its ability, it was now ready to train on its body and moves.

There was a lot of training left to do but first,
"Gary, you have finally done it. It is time for celebration. We will hold a party tonight.", said Axel and hugged Primeape in happiness. Axel had also been eagerly waiting for this day.
"Prime.. Primeape....", it said in a low voice and directly went to sleep. It had not slept properly since it had been born. Axel could understand all the hidden stress that it had been feeling till now. The sleep was well deserved.

Axel called out Primeape to the master ball. He looked up in the sky and could see that Salamence was still flying in the sky at high speed.
It had been some time since it had finally evolved and it would always fly for at least 7-8 hours a day. One of the reasons why it wanted to evolve so badly was to fly. This was always deeply ingrained into the heart of Shelgon.
Now, since it could fly, it had been flying non-stop since that day. It had also become good friends with Pidgeot who would also train in flying maneuvers.
Since it loved flying so much, it had also learned 3 flying moves till now.

Axel just wanted it to adjust to its new body so he had not made any new training plans for it till now. Meanwhile, he could tell that Pidgeot was so close to reaching king rank.
It had been around 5-6 months since it had evolved to pseudo-king rank but it had been training hard to reach king rank ever since that day.
However, it still lacked a lot of things. For example, it had yet not mastered its ability. Axel was not going to let it reach king rank unless it did. Secondly, it had not created a pre-domain move. This was also one of the conditions that Axel had set and finally was a new electrical type move and that move should reach level 40 before reaching king rank.
These were the conditions that Axel had set for Pidgeot. Of course, all of its stats should reach SS rank. This was the absolute condition that must be met. Axel realized that when his Pokemons reached King rank, their progress became very slow.
Red told Axel that it was still way faster than normal Pokemons but it was still slower when they were in pseudo-king rank. So, he wanted Pidgeot\'s stats to be the highest before it ranked up to king rank.
Fortunately, it was doing a lot better in the stats department. Among the 5 stats, 3 of them were already in SS rank. These were attack stats, agility stats, and special attack stats. Its defense and special defense were also in S++ rank. So, it was very close to maxing its stats.
Axel didn\'t know why this was happening to Pidgeot as most of the time, his Pokemons developed pre-domain moves faster than maxing the stats. He also had a talent for it. His Pokemons also mastered their ability before maxing stats for king rank. But Pidgeot was just the opposite.
Axel thought that he would have to solely focus on Pidgeot for some time.
"Flappy, come over here.", said Axel waving at Pidgeot as it was training Salamence in \'Aerial ace\'."
Seeing that Axel had called it, it happily circled around and came towards him. It expected some sort of a gift as Axel looked happy for some reason but it was expecting too much.
"Flappy, your stats are progressing very well but you still have not mastered your ability, created a pre-domain move and an electric move.", said Axel.
Flappy felt immediately sad after hearing it. It lowered its head thinking about it. It was not that it was not talented enough to create a new pre-domain move, electric move, and master its ability. It felt that it could do it in a couple of weeks if it gave its all. But it was deliberately not giving its all and Axel seemed to have finally caught it.
"Are you going to tell me anything? Are you facing any sort of problem in training? If you are then I will solely guide you only for some time.", said Axel.
It looked like Axel had not found out about its master plan but it felt bad cause Axel was worried about it. So, it decided to tell the truth.
"Pi.. Pii.. Pii.... Piii. Pidgeot... Pidge.."
After hearing its reason, Axel wanted to smack its head but he knew that Pidgeot was very emotional and he would never hear the end of it. So, he facepalmed his own face. The reason was just that stupid.
In the last Blaze family Pokemon competition, it had recently ranked up to pseudo-king rank. Since it had recently ranked up to pseudo-king rank, it had to fight with powerful king-rank Pokemons and thus it lost the battle and could not win it.
So, at that moment, it decided to make a master plan. Blaze family Pokemon competition happened 5 months ago, so it had been executing this master plan for 5 months and Axel had not even noticed it.
The plan was not to rank up till the next Blaze family Pokemon competition but it could not slack off its training otherwise Axel would notice. It also wanted to get stronger for the next competition.
So, it had been only training on its moves and body stats since that time. It completely neglected its ability and hidden ability training. It also slowly hinted that it wanted to master its ability before reaching king rank to Axel. Axel also agreed to it. It also started to slowly train in its pre-domain move but never decided to be serious about it. This was the master plan of Pidgeot to win the next competition.
Axel didn\'t know how to respond to it. He didn\'t want it to delay its rank up due to such a simple reason. The competition would take at least 7 more months to arrive and that was a long time.
Yet he knew that if he told it to train seriously, it might not turn out that good. First of all, he didn\'t want to force his Pokemons to train. He was not a tyrant and if he did that, Pidgeot would have some negative feelings about him and he didn\'t want that. After thinking for some seconds, he came up with a solution.
Those few seconds felt like days for poor Pidgeot. It could tell that it was going to be punished and seeing Axel\'s expression change a couple of times in a second, it could tell that something bad was going to happen.
"Flappy, I can tell that you really want to win this competition and you know that I can cheat which makes you the winner."
"Pii. Piii..." (Of course not. I want to win it by myself.)
"Now, listen to my plan. As of right now, there is only Venusaur who is at tier 1 king rank."
Pidgeot immediately felt depressed after hearing it. It knew that even though it ranked up to king rank, it would not be a match against Venusaur.
Axel also sighed after seeing Pidgeot\'s expression. Venusaur really was a monster in Pokemon\'s form.
"Hey, Hey, don\'t feel down. The competition is still 7 months away and since Venusaur has been in tier 1 for quite some time, it would reach tier 2 during that time.
Let me tell you something, I will make sure that it reaches tier 2 during that time.", said Axel with a smile.
Pidgeot\'s face lit up after hearing. Did that mean that it would still win the competition while ranking up early?
"None of my other Pokemons could reach king rank in 7 months and regarding the tier 1 king ranks of other trainers, if you cannot even beat them, then I will be disappointed. Instead, you will get a punishment."
"Pi.. Pi.." (Don\'t worry, I can beat the other fools.)
Pidgeot was now confident in winning this competition. It already knew that Axel\'s Pokemons are normally very strong compared to other trainers and that includes itself.
