Chapter 272 Transformation
Being in the middle of the entire phenomenon, Valyr remained silent as more and more energy radiated out of the crimson spear he held, taking note of the notification he had received sometime earlier.
Swoosh!
At some point, the crimson spear stopped radiating energy, instead generating a strong suction force that made a couple of the staff brace onto something as they felt their bodies being pulled by the force. Fortunately, this strong suction force eventually found its focus, sucking up all of the spider blood that had formed a thin layer on the pit as all of it went towards the True Tideblood Spear.
Not long after, the ground covered by the spider blood had been revealed, taking on a faint tinge of dark blue that made all of the people within the room understand that part of the blood had been absorbed by the ground. However, in response to this sight, the suction force generated by the spear instantly became stronger, siphoning all of the blood that had been absorbed by the ground as the ground eventually returned to its original color.
Nevertheless, none of the people in the room took note of this change, instead focusing their attention on what was happening to the spear Valyr held. At the moment, a great amount of spider blood circled around the True Tideblood Spear, making Valyr wonder as to what his spear was going to do with all of the blood.
Thankfully, it did not take long for him to find out, with every bit of spider blood surrounding the spear being absorbed by it as a wave of energy far stronger than the waves that came before it radiated out of the spear. Simultaneously, Valyr noticed that the connection between him and the spear had significantly improved, feeling the chasm separating the two being reduced to a quarter of what it originally was.
All because his spear had absorbed spider blood.
For a while, the spear he held switched between shades of crimson and blue, as if the two types of blood within the spear were fighting against one another. Though, the blood within the spear eventually settled down, with the crimson blood becoming victorious as it took on a deeper shade, giving Valyr the feeling that he could now tap into a greater amount of power from the spear.
Wondering if his spear would undergo any other transformations, this question was quickly dispelled once he heard a notification sound resound in his mind, prompting him to bring up the notification screen in front of his field of vision as a grin appeared on his face.
Ding!
[Using higher-leveled spider blood as a catalyst, the Lesser Tidemother Blood contained within the has undergone a transformation, evolving to contain the power of a Greater Tidemother.]
[Due to the newfound power residing within the weapon, the soul traces within the weapon has solidified. Nevertheless, there\'s still quite a ways to go before it becomes a true soul.]
[The weapon bond between you and the \'True Tideblood Spear\' has improved. Current bond level is 2.]
[Due to the newfound power residing within the weapon, the weapon has been reclassified to a higher rarity. Its rarity is now Uncommon+.]
[Thanks to the multiple changes to the weapon, the name of the weapon has changed to \'Spear of the Prodigious Tidemother\'.]
Done reading through the notifications, Valyr then went ahead and commanded the system to bring up the description of his newly evolved spear. In the meantime, he told the staff that they were going to continue where they left off, prompting the latter to snap back to reality as they swiftly brought the Experience Pit back to life again.
Seeing as the gates around the pit gradually opened to reveal the new set of foes he was up against, the grin on Valyr\'s face widened as his hands were itching to test out the improvements his spear had undergone.
Ding!

[(+10) Spear of the Prodigious Tidemother] (Level 15)
Rarity: Uncommon+
Weapon Bond: Lv. 2 (Valyr)
Attack: 67 - 111 (+10%)
Previously a training weapon… most of the description has been omitted.
Due to a resonance forming between the blood contained within the spear and blood from a similar species, parts of the blood within the spear had evolved to a higher level, allowing the spear to contain part of the might of a Greater Tidemother, a being far stronger than a Lesser Tidemother.
<Innate Skill: Tideburst - Greatly propels the user forward through a strong force generated from the end of the spear\'s shaft, increasing the user\'s speed temporarily before landing a quick thrust that affects the immediate surroundings. Deals 100% of the user\'s Attack stat within a 1 meter radius. Converts 1% of the damage dealt into HP. Cooldown: 15 seconds. Cost: 75 MP.>
Remarks: Though born out of multiple uncertainties, at this point, it is undoubtedly a good weapon.

"[Tideburst]." At the very moment he was finished reading through the weapon\'s new description, Valyr dashed towards the spiders and used the new and improved skill the weapon contained. In less than an instant, the gap between the two sides had been reduced to nothing as Valyr thrust out his spear soon after, causing a wave of faint red energy to radiate from the spear tip.
Bang!
Surprisingly, the power contained within the wave of energy was enough to send all of the spiders within its range flying towards the walls, making Valyr grip on the spear more tightly as he gradually incorporated the new skill into the rhythm he had created to make the most out of his time within the Experience Pit.
Unexpectedly, the addition of [Tideburst] was enough to significantly increase the speed at which he killed the spiders, considering that [Tideburst] was the second AoE skill he had in his arsenal, aside from [Tyrannous Bite]. Though, unlike [Tyrannous Bite], which had a high MP cost, as well as a long cooldown, [Tideburst] had a short cooldown, and took less mana to activate, which prompted him to eventually transition to using [Tideburst] as an opener.
Unfortunately, just as he had gotten immersed into the new rhythm he had created, the staff above the pit had informed Valyr that the Experience Pits were finally closing, causing the latter to let out a low sigh as he eventually made his way out of the passage.
