Chapter 969: Attempts at Unfettering Races (2)
Staring at the notifications he\'d obtained at a loss for words, it took a while for him to find the right words to say, scratching the back of his head as he went over the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races in his mind.
In the simplest terms, the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races was a technique that gave him the ability to evolve his species to higher tiers without having to ascend through the class ranks.
However, if one were to look closely, then one would eventually notice that the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races seemed to have an otherworldly origin.
In a way, one would feel like the information making up the technique was as abstruse and difficult as a technique could go, while also being as intuitive and simple to understand as any basic technique one would pick up at the start of one\'s journey.
In fact, that was the feeling Valyr got from the Records at first, sensing that it had an origin similar to the Outer Realm Scripture he\'d found back then, as well as the Inner Realm Scripture and the Truth Weaver Scripture he\'d gotten from Vaughn.
At first, he did not know the reason why he got that feeling while going through the information the Records gave him. To him, it was as if the reason was placed behind a veil that he could just barely see through.
Fortunately, reading through the steps needed to enter the 1st stage of the Records was enough for the young man to push the veil aside, finally allowing him to understand why he got that feeling while reading it.
At the same time, it made him realize the uniqueness of the other skills he had that also seemed to come from otherworldly origins, the jigsaw pieces in his mind finally clicking together.
From what he could tell, the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races, as well as the other unique skills in his arsenal, all touched on a specific concept that the universe considered an inviolable truth.
The concept of improvement.
Though he wasn\'t sure whether the concept of improvement was considered an inviolable truth, Valyr was more than confident enough to presume that the skills were making use of the concept to a high degree that it felt akin to the truth.
For one, the concept of improvement appeared in the Outer and Inner Realm Scripture by allowing Valyr to awaken the untapped potential within both his body and mind.
On the other hand, the concept of improvement appeared within the Truth Weaver Scripture by allowing Valyr to make use of the other concepts he comprehended to empower the one he chose.
As for the Records of Unfettering and Transcending Races, it approached the concept of improvement from a vastly different perspective, with the 1st Stage of the Records already giving Valyr an idea of what was to come if he were to delve deeper into it.
According to the Records, to improve his current species to a higher tier, all he needed to do... Was to recreate his body from scratch with the help of energy.
Closing the screen he brought up after feeling like he\'d looked at it for long enough, Valyr soon focused his senses inward, keeping the knowledge he\'d obtained from the 1st stage of the Records in mind as he did so.
\'From what I could remember, the 1st stage involves recreating and reinforcing the pathways throughout one\'s body with one\'s energy,\' inwardly muttered the young man to himself as he continued to look for signs.
Eventually, he found himself looking at the various pathways reforged by the 1st stage of the Records, being left at a slight loss for words after noticing that all of the pathways that were formed through the Records had taken on a dark blue color.
"You could use Prime Azure Energy to reform and reinforce your pathways?" Muttering these words to himself, Valyr looked over the 1st stage of the Records in his mind once again, wanting to make sure that he did not recall wrongly.
Thankfully, the information the Records gave him were indeed what he remembered, with it telling him that completing the 1st stage involved making use of one\'s mana to recreate all of the pathways in one\'s body before replacing it and reinforcing it.
\'According to the Records, the reason why mana is used is because it\'s the simplest energy almost every being in the universe could tap to,\' thought the young man to himself.
\'At the same time, mana is an incredibly flexible type of energy, having the ability to assimilate various concepts and elements into it to suit one\'s needs.\'
Coming to this part of his train of thought, it was only then did the current situation click in Valyr\'s mind.
\'But what if someone had control over a type of energy that was of a higher tier than mana and also had the ability to assimilate various concepts and elements?\'
As this realization came to mind, Valyr\'s eyes slightly widened in understanding, getting the feeling that the reason why he\'d inadvertently completed the 1st stage so quickly was all due to the uniqueness of his Prime Azure Energy.
Nevertheless, even though he\'d figured out the reason why he completed the 1st stage without him knowing, the young man still double checked the foundation he\'d inadvertently made based on the 1st stage of the Records.
At some point, he found out that not only were all of the pathways formed and reinforced with Prime Azure Energy, but they\'d also gone through the same process with mana and Void Energy as well.
\'Is that the reason why I finished the 1st stage so quickly, then?\' Shifting his train of thought back to the initial hypothesis, the young man soon had a myriad of questions fill up his mind, mulling over what the correct answer was.
After all, what was the thing that really allowed him to complete the 1st stage in the first place? Was it the sheer quality Prime Azure Energy boasted? Or was it the sheer quantity of energy he had in his body that allowed him to complete it so quickly?
"Well, whatever it may be, I should really keep an eye on it now that I\'ve decided to proceed to the next stage," said Valyr to himself at some point with a faint sigh, confident that the answer to his query would appear before him eventually.
With that, the young man closed his eyes once more, bringing up information on the 2nd stage of the Records in his mind as he gradually entered a tranquil state.
Though, unlike before, he had now split a portion of his focus to keep an eye on his internals while doing so.
\'I\'ll figure it out sooner or later,\' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself, rousing the energy within his body as he began his attempt a few minutes later.
