Chapter 97 - 97: The Secret of Dragon Species
A so-called pureblood dragon is a noble dragon-type pet beast that possesses a large amount of pure and ancient dragon blood in its body, such as Chi, Qi, and Jiao, among others.
These powerful creatures have a minimum species level of King, and they are born with the ability to comprehend the core evolution skill “Rain Dance”.
Under the careful nurturing of a trainer, as long as a pureblood dragon acquires enough pet resources, it has a good chance of soaring up and transforming into a dragon.
It is rumored that with the continuous purification and transformation of their dragon blood, powerful true dragons might even have the chance to evolve into the most ancient and pure-blooded noble existence amongst dragons: the Supreme Dragon God.
Unfortunately, up to this point, there hasn’t been any strong trainers within the Flowery Kingdom who have witnessed this supreme existence in person. Thus, this claim is mostly regarded as baseless talk.
Half-blood dragons are the offspring of pureblood dragons who have interbred with other beasts over a long period of time.
Although their bodies contain very little pure dragon blood, they still possess unmatched power and are commonly known as sub-dragon species, which are branches of the dragon lineage. Examples include the Flame Dragon, Earth Dragon, and Purgatory Dragon.
These half-blood dragons inherit part of the excellent dragon lineage.
Although their species level has a lower limit, the upper limit they can reach may not necessarily be weaker than that of pureblood dragons.
Although there have been few records in Flowery Kingdom’s history, there are some cases where terror-inducing sub-dragon species overcame their bloodline limitations.
For example, the famous Eclipse Dragon in the Ancient Age once killed several True Dragons with species levels as high as the Legendary Emperors.
Lastly, hybrid dragons are dragon-type pet beasts with a trace amount of dragon blood. The lowest-ranked among them is the top-grade Elite Aurora Lizard.
As for the Red-tailed Goldfish rumored to possess a whiff of dragon blood, they need not be mentioned.
Trainers who respect strength have never regarded the low-ranking Red-tailed Goldfish as a hybrid dragon.
It’s just a mere trash!
David Jones looked at the shocked Stan Dragonjoy in front of him and suddenly felt a headache coming on.
For Dragonsoar Academy to find him so quickly, someone must have leaked his information.
“Was it Guildmaster Maud and the man in the military uniform? Or Master Johnson who conducted the combat assessment?” David Jones wondered to himself.
All he wants now is to get into the Flowery Kingdom’s Big Five, and their approach was misleading, wasn’t it?
How could the eight colleges be more attractive than Rosewood College?
Rainbow, who was on the side, saw that the ill-intentioned Stan Dragonjoy had dissipated and continued to paint with peace of mind.
After all, she didn’t have much time to rest every day, so she would paint whenever possible.
“Junior, I came here to invite you to join our Dragonsoar Academy.” Stan Dragonjoy got straight to the point.
With the promised rare pet resources from his uncle, he didn’t believe that he couldn’t persuade this young man.
Moreover, Dragonsoar Academy, being the most famous college for dragon-types, was a perfect fit for David Jones’s Flood Dragon pet beast.
Stan couldn’t think of a reason for David to refuse.
I m sorry, but the school I want to apply to next year is Rosewood College.” David’s face showed a hint of remorse.
According to the regulations issued by the Trainer Guild in the Flowery Kingdom, colleges and students have a two-way choice in terms of admission. Even if he received an admission notice from Dragonsoar Academy, he could choose not to go.
As the saying goes, it’s better to be a chicken-head than a phoenix-tail. Moreover, he was fully capable of getting into the Big Five of Flowery Kingdom.
Upon hearing this, Stan Dragonjoy’s eyes narrowed, and his face turned somewhat serious.
As expected, young people these days only care about pursuing the so-called “Big Five of Flowery Kingdom”.
Although Dragonsoar Academy ranked among the top eight academies and was one of the top Beast Trainer universities in the Flowery Kingdom, it indeed fell short when compared to the reputation of the Flowery Kingdom’s Big Five.
Stan Dragonjoy responded with a smile, “That’s alright, to each his own.” Suddenly, his tone changed, “Next year’s enrollment in Rosewood is a matter for the future. Why don’t we talk about the benefits Dragonsoar Academy can offer you right now?”
David Jones raised an eyebrow and then nodded in agreement.
Having taken the advantage from Rosalind Louise, he could only choose between those three fixed prestigious schools.
However, it didn’t hurt to listen to the offerings. That way, he could get a sense of his value in the eyes of Dragonsoar Academy.
Stan Dragonjoy gave a slight smile and took out an exquisite jade box from his Star Ring, his face full of confidence.
“What is this?” David Jones looked at the jade box on the table with some confusion.
Dragonsoar Academy was even more prepared than he had imagined, they even brought over things, but he wasn’t sure what kind of Pet Resources they were.
“This is a Class VI elixir— Star-Condensing Elixir. As long as you nod, this advanced elixir will be yours!” Stan Dragonjoy said, his eyes brimming with envy.
He had long coveted this Star-Condensing Elixir, but he didn’t dare ask his uncle for it, fearing that he would be punished even more if he did.
“A Class VI elixir?” David Jones looked at Stan Dragonjoy with astonishment, as if he couldn’t believe it.
Even the Class VI Pet Resources he had heard of were worth a hundred million Star coins, let alone the precious resource in front of him being a Class VI elixir!
It was well known that the high-grade elixirs carefully refined by pharmacists were far more valuable and rare than their equivalent Pet Resources, even bordering on priceless.
David Jones unconsciously thought about which was more valuable, the Class
VI elixir in front of him or the Afterglow Array in his mind.
Stan Dragonjoy glanced at David Jones, seeming to understand something, and his eyes cleared up.
“David doesn’t even know about the famous Class VI elixir-Star-Condensing Elixir. It seems that he really is just an ordinary Beast Trainer prodigy from an average family.” He felt more confident in his heart.
The Star-Condensing Elixir is an extremely rare Class VISSS tier elixir that can elevate the Arcane Star level of users below Class IV by a whole level,” Stan Dragonjoy said with envy across his face.
“And besides the promotion of the Arcane Star level, the most important thing about the Star-Condensing Elixir is that it doesn’t have any negative effects on the user s Arcane Star foundation,” he continued.
As a top five student of Dragonsoar Academy, Stan Dragonjoy knew very well. If he could swallow the Star-Condensing Elixir in front of him, his Arcane Star would quickly break through to Class IV.
His pet, the Earth Dragon, was also on the verge of advancing, and its power was currently at the limit of Class III upper level.
With the Contract feedback from his Arcane Star breakthrough, he might be able to raise his pet’s power to Class IV.
By having a Class IV Commander-type pet, he could compete with the geniuses of the Flowery Kingdom’s Big Five and even lead the Dragonsoar Academy team to achieve excellent rankings in the National Beast Master College Championship.
With that in mind, a hint of jealousy flashed across Stan Dragonjoy’s face.
“My uncle really is too biased!”
Looking at the exquisite jade box on the table, David Jones felt indescribably upset.
Why?
Why didn’t you appear earlier?!!
If he had known Dragonsoar Academy could offer such a precious elixir, he would never have signed up for Rosewood College!
Just this one Star-Condensing Elixir in front of him was worth several years of his hard work!
