Chapter 119 - 113: Ranked No. 1
-If you delay any longer, your Thunder Papilio may suffer irreparable injuries!”
David Jones reminded her.
If it hadn’t been for him asking Rainbow to cancel Frostfall Ashes in advance, the unconscious papilio in the distance would’ve been long turned to dust by now.
Snow Clark’s face slightly tightened, and the Star Ring on her finger flickered lightly. Two Class III Healing Potions from Southdipper Commerce appeared in her hand.
“Help me heal my pet, and this is your reward!”
Snow Clark removed the exquisite Senior Star Ring from her finger, placing it in her palm, and handed it to David Jones along with the Healing Potion.
“Is this how you ask for help?” David Jones muttered in his heart.
He casually took the Star Ring and the Healing Potion, then glanced at Snow
Clark and corrected, “This is not a reward; it’s the price you have to pay for
being defeated.”
At his words, Snow Clark’s delicate eyebrows furrowed, and her pale face was filled with displeasure.
She lowered her head to look at the Healing Potion in her hand and then
drained it with a single swig.
David Jones paid no attention to this. He looked at the Senior Star Ring in his hand and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
For Snow Clark to hand the Star Ring over to him showed a level of sincerity.
What a pity, even master-recognized Senior Star Rings had high security.
Unless the owner unties the Contract, ordinary people cannot access the treasures inside.
Otherwise, he could have taken out the Pet Resources himself.
“Let’s heal the pet first!”
David Jones shook his head and walked over to the Thunder Papilio. He stretched its slender, tube-like mouth into the Class III Healing Potion.
After drinking the potion, Snow Clark’s pale and weak face gradually became ruddy again.
■■Can you tell me your name?” Her eyes were fixed on David Jones.
The young man who had suddenly appeared was incredibly powerful.
Could it be that he was a Dragoon who was attracted by the Arcane Star and the
Heritage Relic’s entry qualifications?
“David Jones from Waterland City.” Seeing the Papilio’s condition improve,
David Jones shifted his gaze to Snow Clark.
“Waterland City?”
Snow Clark was slightly stunned, her eyes flickering uncertainly.
Waterland City was an extremely remote tier III city within Sunbeam Province.
The Beast Control Power there was relatively weak, and there were very few
King-level Trainers.
‘■Enough chit-chat, take out the Pet Resources you obtained in the Dungeon.”
David Jones said coldly.
He didn’t know if Snow Clark had managed to get back the Dragongut Herb.
[Dragongut Herb]: A Level IV Pet Resource that can slightly purify the
Dragon-type bloodline in Beasts, enhancing the strength of Dragon-Type Pet Beasts.
As a rare Dragon-type Pet Resource, its value could even be comparable to
Level V Pet Resources.
If Rainbow takes the Dragongut Herb, it might even break through to middle-level Class II, greatly increasing its strength.
“Bring the Star Ring over,” Snow Clark said, nodding slightly.
David Jones stretched out his palm in front of Snow Clark, with a Senior Star
Ring in his hand.
“You can’t touch it directly, you can only extract it with Psychic Power.”
Snow Clark fell silent for a while and whispered softly, “Such a boring
precaution.”
The next second, the Star Ring on David Jones’ palm flickered with light.
A large pile of rare Pet Resources appeared between David Jones and Snow Clark.
“This is the Dragongut Herb!” At the top of a large number of Mesona plants, David Jones saw the rare elixir that resembled a winding dragon.
“These are the Magic Cores and resources I obtained in the Dungeon. You can take as much as you want, or even all of it.”
As she said this, Snow Clark turned her head to look at the evening glow on the horizon, seemingly a bit desolate.
“In that case, I won’t be polite.”
David Jones’s face showed a hint of confusion as he immediately activated the
Star Ring, collecting all the Magic Cores and herbs in front of him.
“You can give the Star Ring back to me now!” Snow Clark reminded him.
Even though her hard-earned Dungeon resources were taken by David, her face still remained calm.
David: “Of course.”
Snow Clark took the Star Ring and walked away without looking back towards
the Thunder Papilio.
“David Jones, I won’t forget you!”
-The next time we meet, I will definitely defeat you!” A determined voice suddenly rang out.
Watching Snow Clark’s disappearing figure, David couldn’t help but smile wryly.
In the viewing hall:
David’s points skyrocketed from 45,000 to 85,300, ranking him at the top.
Snow Clark’s points dropped from 51,300 to 11,000, out of the top five. “Damn it! This kid is so strong!” Harris Guarneri’s pupils constricted as he suppressed his displeasure and frustration.
“Hmph, after winning so many years, it’s time to let you win once,” he said casually to Gavin Maud, seeming unperturbed.
“Just a fluke,” Gavin laughed.
“Damn it!” Harris’s anger surged upon seeing Gavin’s reaction.
“It was such an exciting battle,” Belinda Thomson commented with a smile. “Defeating a Class III beast with a Class II; that Flood Dragon indeed has extraordinary gifts,” City President Wen Yan exclaimed.
In a secluded cave atop Lava Mountain:
With a thought, David took out the Dragongut Herb, “Are you going to try to break through?”
“Can I?” Rainbow worriedly asked.
She nuzzled David’s arm with her head, her majestic eyes revealing a touch of concern.
“It’s okay.” Stroking Rainbow gently with his hand, David reassured her with a smile, “If your breakthrough is successful, maybe you can even bring my Arcane Star to Class III.”
Rainbow nodded, then landed on the ground and swallowed the Dragon-like herb from David’s hand.
As soon as the Dragongut Herb entered her stomach, it turned into a surge of energy that traveled within her body, making her feel a tingling sensation, as if ants were crawling on her.
Rainbow closed her eyes tightly, resisting the ticklish sensation and wholeheartedly absorbing and refining the pure Arcane Force emerging from within her.
David looked on, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
Rainbow’s beautiful dragon scales began to vibrate slightly, and their color morphed from the initial bright blue to a dazzling array of colors.
Underneath the brilliant light, an incredibly domineering Dragon Domination suddenly erupted, and Rainbow’s momentum grew incrementally stronger. “Thump, thump, thump!” David could faintly hear the powerful heartbeat of Rainbow during the process.
As her heart rate accelerated, the surrounding light grew brighter, and she could vaguely feel a burning sensation deep within her bloodstream, spreading throughout her body.
A painful dragon cry sounded, and Rainbow’s ten-meter-long body began to tremble violently, the momentum within reaching its peak. She was only one step away from advancing.
“The Dragongut Herb is indeed a rare Level IV mesona, containing such pure Dragon energy. No wonder it has such a powerful effect in purifying the bloodline.”
“I hope Rainbow can hold on!”
As David stared at the dazzling, sacred figure before him, worry flickered in his eyes..
