Chapter 360: Hunger and Thirst (Added by Beimingyu’s Rewards)
Purple Summers took the hangover tea to the thirteenth floor.
She threw the hangover tea, cup and all, into the trash can at the elevator entrance, and then went alone to the door of Room 1311, listening carefully but not hearing any movement inside.
Purple thought for a moment, took out the room key card, and gently tossed it on the carpet in front of the door. A sarcastic smile crossed her lips as she turned and left in the opposite direction.
She didn’t take the elevator, but chose to take the stairs, planning to walk to another floor before taking the elevator to avoid running into Bella Foster.
Unexpectedly, as she reached the stairwell, she encountered a surprise encounter.
— Yolanda Summers.
Yolanda was holding a cup in one hand, standing on the stairs.
Upon seeing Purple, her face turned a few shades paler, but she then tried to act nonchalant. She walked up the stairs step by step, brushing past Purple.
Purple roughly guessed what she was planning to do.
“Did you hear our conversation?” Purple suddenly asked.
Yolanda’s footsteps stopped.
With her back to Purple, she stood five or six steps above, her body slightly tense.
Purple said softly, “Yolanda, do you know what you’re doing?”
Trying to appear calm, Yolanda slowly turned around, “I…I heard that Young Master Graves got drunk, so I specifically came to bring hangover tea. Purple, have you seen Young Master Graves just now? How is he?”
“Oh, you brought hangover tea.” Purple examined her from head to toe with a mocking look, “Climbing the stairs to bring hangover tea, that’s really hard work.”
Yolanda felt insulted by Purple’s sarcasm, becoming annoyed, “Aren’t you climbing the stairs too! What, you can send it, but I can’t?! Purple, don’t be so full of yourself!”
Purple scoffed coldly, “Yolanda, you’d better keep your head clear. What’s Young Master Graves’ status? He’s a piece of meat everyone wants a bite of. Do you think Bella Foster will leave this opportunity to you? The person in Room 1311 isn’t Young Master Graves. I advise you not to make a fool of yourself and make people laugh.”
“How do you know it’s not him? Did you go into the room to check?” Yolanda frowned, scrutinizing Purple, “Who’s in that room, then?”
She did not believe Purple’s words. The more Purple tried to stop her, the more Yolanda believed Purple was afraid of her meeting Young Master Graves.
Young Master Graves hadn’t seen her yet.
Yolanda believed that she had more charm and feminine allure than Purple. If Young Master Graves saw her, maybe he would be willing to support her as a star!
“Yolanda, have you gone mad trying to climb high branches?” Purple was both angry and amused, “Get a grip on the situation. What is today’s event? You, a rich young lady, running to send hangover tea to a man you don’t know? Is your brain soaked and not working properly?!”
Yolanda’s face turned red with embarrassment as Purple exposed her intentions. She couldn’t help but shout, “Shut up! Who are you to lecture me!”
Not wanting to entangle with Purple any further, she took the cup of tea and headed upstairs.
Purple said, “Yolanda! The person in Room 1311 is likely to be Young Master Forrester, the groom-to-be today. Are you sure you still want to go?!”
Yolanda’s footsteps halted and she froze on the stairs.
However, just when Purple thought Yolanda would give up, Yolanda nonchalantly took two more steps up.
Purple was dumbfounded.
She wanted to ask if Yolanda was deaf or dumb; couldn’t she understand her words? The person in that room wasn’t Young Master Graves at all. Yolanda showing up would be nothing short of humiliating herself!
Words on the tip of her tongue, Purple suddenly had a flash of insight, and she understood.
Once she understood, Purple couldn’t help but feel both tears and laughter.
“Yolanda, have you become so thirsty that you can’t help yourself? Not even sparing Young Master Graves’ cousin, even though he just got engaged today?”
