Chapter 30: Is the young master standing up for the fat bitch?
“Auntie, imagine if I really had the video, and make it public…” Abigail stood between Rose Taylor’s and Ruby Green’s hospital beds, sensing Rose’s panic, she suddenly formed words with her lips towards her.
Lincoln Green was busy serving tea to Brandon Piers, paying no attention to the unfolding drama, while two officers couldn’t figure out what was going on, keeping to themselves like shy quails.
Rose Taylor understood Abigail’s lip-reading and suddenly scolded, “Ruby, you foolish child, how could you misunderstand your sister based on a servant’s words? Apologize!”
“Mom…” Even though Ruby Green was also uneasy, fearing Abigail’s last-ditch effort, Brandon Piers was there so she didn’t want to lose face.
“Apologize now.” Rose Taylor seemed to ignore her daughter’s unwillingness.
Ignoring whether Abigail had the video or not, exposing the fact that the child wasn’t Ruby’s, a paternity test would reveal the truth.
Then, their previous plans would be completely screwed.
The Abigail in front of them was no longer the waste they could play with at will.
“Mom, Brandon…” Ruby Green’s eyes turned red with grievance, she softly called for her mother, then turned to look pitifully at Brandon Piers, “Brandon, I didn’t mean to… ”
Seeing the situation, Lincoln Green glanced at the pitiful Ruby Green, then at the silent Brandon Piers, he suddenly scolded Abigail, “Why won’t you apologize, your Aunt decided not to pursue it for your sake, who do you think you are, huh?”
Abigail was scolded and raised her eyebrows but said nothing, only steadily gazing at the middle-aged man in front of her.
He was Abigail Green’s father, but not Abigail’s father.
Moreover, in seeking revenge for the originally perceived wrong, when calculating carefully, he, this father, could also be considered an indirect murder accomplice.
“What’s with that look in your eyes? You think you’re all grown up and your old man can’t discipline you? It’s the height of absurdity that you’re capable of hurting your sister and mother!” Speaking, Lincoln Green tried to slap Abigail.
Abigail’s eyes were cold and seemed prepared to raise her hand.
“Boss Green, is there a problem with your hearing?” Brandon Piers suddenly spoke up rhetorically.
Lincoln Green froze, turned, puzzled, “Master Brandon, what do you mean…?”
“Didn’t your wife just say that Miss Green is slandering the fat child? Didn’t you hear?” Brandon Piers held the teacup in his hand, gently caressed the cup wall, but didn’t drink.
Everyone in the room was stunned. Wasn’t Master Brandon supposed to be Miss Green’s fiancé? Why does it seem like he was defending the fat child?
Lincoln Green was also baffled by Brandon Piers’s words. If it weren’t for you, why would I insist on handling my younger daughter this way?
“Ruby, you have to admit and apologize for your mistakes, or else how can you become Mrs. Piers? Isn’t that right?” Brandon Piers suddenly turned around and looked at the astonished Ruby Green.
Ruby Green, who was still wondering what had gotten into Brandon, was suddenly asked a question and froze. She looked at his amber eyes and nodded as if enchanted.
Brandon Piers’s tone suddenly became stern, “So why won’t you apologize?”
Abigail raised an eyebrow, wondering what pagentry Brandon Piers was trying to play.
“Ruby, what are you waiting for? Apologize to Abigail.” Rose Taylor was on edge. Although she didn’t understand why Master Brandon was defending this cheap bitch, at this point, whether or not Ruby wanted to apologize, she had to.
However, the statement “how can you become Mrs. Piers” from Brandon kept replaying in Ruby’s mind. It turned out that he had already regarded her as Mrs. Piers in his heart. Her pretty face was full of joy, and upon Rose’s beckoning, she quickly said, “Abigail, I’m sorry, I was wrong.”
“Sincerity lacking.” Before Abigail could respond, Brandon Piers replied for her.
Ruby Green was taken aback, only then did she realize something was wrong. Was Brandon standing up for the fat bitch?
