Chapter 211: Florist or Nun?
[Isabella is enticed by your display of violence!]
[+4 Affection from Isabella]
[Isabella’s Affection 5/100]
It did not take long for Alex to piece two and two together. Clearly Isabella had seen the footage of his assault on the Cocaine processing facility, and as the batshit insane young woman that she was, she appeared to have gotten off on the footage.
Alex would be lying if he said he had not been with his fair share of crazy bitches. After all, every woman was at least slightly crazy. In so far that logic and reason seemed to be a foreign concept to them. But it took a special kind of crazy to get off on brutal murder. And it was because of this that Alex felt like he wanted to end this arc here and now.
Especially when he considered the fact that he had to deal with not one psycho bitch, but two who were both heroines that needed to be conquered. The very idea made Alex slightly sick to his stomach. Or Perhaps that was the residual effects from the overwhelming amount of cocaine he had snorted prior to his attack on Jalisco.
Either way, Alex had been granted permission to leave the territory that belonged to the Los Zetas, and thus he actually decided to visit the capital of Mexico while he had the chance. After all, his identity as a sicario of the Cartel was still a secret and because of this he felt free to tour the country as a normal civilian.
Thus, Alex took his private jet to Mexico City, whereupon stepping out of the airport he breathed in the fresh city air. Mexico City was one of the few places in the country that wasn’t currently run by one of the many cartels. It was a safe place for citizens of other countries to visit, and because of that it was full of a diverse crowd of people.Luckily for Alex he was fluent in all languages known to man thanks to his skill [Universal Translator] and because of this he could easily communicate with the locals, which had already helped him pick up women. Despite not remembering how he did so, or what they did together, Alex was certain that he was bound to have some fun here in Mexico City.
It was not long however, before Alex saw an icon appear on his minimap. It was a shrouded portrait, along with the description “???” The only time Alex had ever seen anything like this before was when he was buying dossiers in the store. Thus, he quickly commanded the driver to follow the path set on his minimap towards the destination of this unknown heroine.
Surprisingly enough, Alex’s cab stopped outside a Florist shop, which Alex then paid the cab driver before stepping out, and searching for the maiden who he was supposed to conquer. Sure enough, there was a beautiful young woman tending to the store. She had pink hair and eyes, yet she had brown skin. Something that one would only ever find in an anime or manga.
When Alex saw the woman, she was already busy with another customer who he was quick to identify as none other than the main character of this story arc. Angel Ramirez wore a charming smile on his handsome face as he spoke with the heroine as if they were already well acquainted.
Obviously she did not know that the man was involved with the cartel, let alone a Prince of the CJNG. Because the moment Alex zoomed in on her status, he received a peculiar message from the system.
[Heroine identified… Maria Santiago]
[Likes: Kindness, chivalry, piety, gentlemanly behavior, traditional mindset, compassion, empathy, lawfulness, fidelity, honesty]
[Dislikes: Anything related with the Cartel, crime, violence, drugs, excessive alcohol consumption, fornication, adultery/promiscuity, rudeness, arrogance, apathy, disloyalty, betrayal, dishonesty]
[Affection towards Angel: 50/100]
[Affection towards you: 1/100]
Alex stared at this woman’s likes and dislikes and immediately realized he was at an enormous disadvantage when it came to conquering her heart. She was the type of woman that was completely and utterly incompatible not only with Alex’s way of life, but his personality as well.
If he wanted to win Maria over, he needed to become a chameleon and completely twist his personality to fit her needs. That would make him a liar and a scumbag. Alex may be a womanizer, but he was an honest man, for the most part. He was true to himself, and if that attracted a woman to his side, good. But he rarely ever lied to get in a woman’s pants, let alone build a relationship upon a foundation of said lies.
To do that was simply asking for disaster to strike the relationship. Thus, Alex had no idea how he would win this beautiful young heroine over. But he also had no idea how Angel would, since Angel was supposedly very similar to Alex both in terms of personality, but also occupation.
Alex waited patiently after grabbing two bouquets of flowers. He didn’t know much about flowers, but he knew that his sisters liked roses. Thus, he stood patiently in line while waiting for Angel to finish flirting with the heroine that Alex had now set his eyes on.
Maria had a soft tone in her voice, it was clear that she was friendly with Angel, but not overly so, and though he tried to flirt with her, she still rejected his advances.
“It seems like you’re in here every other day. Your girlfriend is surely a lucky woman for you to spend so much on flowers for her…”
This was obviously a statement that Alex felt a need to interject in. Luckily enough, his rival gave him the perfect opening to do so with a statement that Alex found to be almost too coincidental.
“Actually, I’m single… These flowers are for my beloved little sister… Let’s just say I keep messing up as her elder brother, and these are my way of saying I’m sorry…”
Maria was just about to say something when Alex stepped forward and interjected himself into the conversation.
“You too, huh? I must say, I thought I was the only guy on the planet who bought flowers for his sisters. I’m sorry, where are my manners? I’m Alex, and you are?”
Angel looked at Alex with a subtly furious gaze. His eyes were lit aflame. Just who was this pretty boy from north of the border, and why was he forcing himself into this conversation? Despite these thoughts, Angel forced a smile as he held out his hand and introduced himself to Alex, perhaps as a display for the young maiden who respected gentlemen.
“Truly? Well, it would appear that you and I are kindred spirits. I’m Angel, Angel Ramirez. It is a pleasure to meet you?”
Alex looked between Angel and Maria, he did not exactly know what strategy he had to win Maria over, but lying to her about his personality, and who he was, that wasn’t his style, thus he tried to just playdown how big of an asshole he was, and instead focus on the passion he had for his sisters.
“So you have a younger sister, huh? Me… I’ve got two older sisters. These aren’t so much voluntary, if you get what I mean. If they think I have done something wrong, they make sure that I make it up to them…”
Maria watched the conversation between what was essentially two strangers and had a favorable impression on the both of them. However, she didn’t want these two men taking up all of her time, and thus she asked Angel to pay, which he did. He then thanked Alex for the conversation before bidding farewell to Maria.
“It was a pleasure to meet you Alex… I hope you enjoy your stay here in Mexico, however long that may be…”
Alex just gave the man a slight nod of the head as he approached the counter and placed the two bouquets of flowers down to be rung up. Maria was smiling, but it was clear that there was something on her mind that she wanted to say, and thus, Alex shamelessly asked.
“You look like you have something you want to say?”
Maria looked up at Alex and shook her head, denying the obvious.
“What? Oh, no don’t worry about it…”
Alex however forced a charming smile on his face as he outright demanded the woman speak her mind.
“Oh really? Come on, you can say what you want? I know that Americans are in the media for being a bunch of oversensitive snowflakes these days, but some of us are the exact opposite. If you’re worried about offending me, don’t be.”
Maria sighed heavily, her modest bosom heaving as she did so, before she eventually commented on Alex and Angel’s conversation.
“Come on… You really expect me to believe that the two of you are single and buying flowers for your sisters?”
Alex chuckled when he heard this, before responding to the woman’s statement with the honest truth.
“Hey, I never said I was single… I’m probably the type of man you would hate if I’m being honest… But I care deeply about my family, and am very close to my sisters. If you don’t believe me, take a look!”
Alex then pulled out his phone and showed an image of him and his sisters Madison and Kristina sitting together at a table enjoying themselves. It was a wholesome photo that the three of them had taken. And thus Maria let down her guard around Alex, forgetting he just said he was the type of man she would hate.
The conversation that the two of them would have followed this would set the foundation for their relationship.
