Chapter 64: Returning Part 2
Chapter 64: Returning Part 2
"I somehow ended right back where I started..." Azmond started to mutter in a peeved tone.
"After falling down a big a*s pit that led to who knows where, and I ended right back here by some ridiculous magical bullsh*t?" Azmond was left in utter stupefaction at this development.
"What the hell is this nonsense?!?" A large vein began to bulge on Azmond's forehead as he thought his entire situation was just some big ol game to some bigshots somewhere beyond the heavens.
"Sigh... Whatever, I will just accept it as it is and instead focus on something more important." Azmond's irritated expression turned to one of obsession as his gaze traveled to a certain location in the large field of giant spiritual stones.
When his eyes landed on a voluptuous figure with long silky black hair and bright green eyes, Azmond knew that he had made his way back 'Home'.
A home that Azmond had never had in both of his lifetimes.
Azmond didn't even understand the meaning of the word 'home' a few days ago.
But, right when he returned from his journey into some mysterious dimension, and saw the beautiful sleeping face of his Little Ice Bunny...
Azmond knew right then and there that his home was wherever he and his Crystalline were.
He didn't completely understand this feeling himself, for it was an indescribable one.
He just assumed, on some sort of supernatural instinct, that this was what a home was.
It wasn't some fancy material object made up of stones and bricks or some overexaggerated futuristic castle floating atop the clouds...
Home for Azmond was when he was around his little ice flower.
.....
"I really want to have some more fun with her... I miss the supple curves and hilltops of her body, and I miss the cute embarrassed faces she makes once I tease her a little too much, and I miss the pouty faces she makes when she tries to show me how angry she is-." Azmond suddenly realized something that he didn't even realize was this bad—until now.
"I really love her, huh? I mean, really, really love her... I love her so much that I feel like I would just drop over dead right then and there if something ever happened to my Little Ice Flower." Azmond's eyes darkened a little when he thought about a situation where Crystalline got hurt for one reason or another.
As you could imagine, his face wasn't the least bit pretty when he thought of such a hypothetical scenario.
Azmond's facial features relaxed a little when he remembered that he would never allow something like that to happen, at least not while he was still breathing.
"This is one of the reasons that you are training so hard, Azmond. You are training for yourself, and you are training for Crystalline's sake." Azmond reprimanded himself with a stern tone.
"Never forget that, Azmond. Not now, and not in the future." Azmond continued to scold himself like a lunatic, but if any average mortal were to be looking at this strange interaction of Azmond's...
They would describe Azmond's current mannerisms as something... romantic?
Mortals are weird creatures as well, it seems...
...
"I want to go over there and wake up my little ice roll right now, but I can't." A dispirited look formed on Azmond's face as he gazed lovingly at an Ice Beauty who was sleeping with a peaceful look on her pretty face.
"Her aura is still growing even at this very moment, and I can't interrupt that process unless I want to harm Crystalline, and I would never do that." Azmond turned his gaze away from Crystalline's perfect figure with a face like he had just made the hardest decision of his entire life.
But, first and foremost, Azmond had to ensure the absolute safety of his love, so he set up another few barriers around Crystalline just to be cautious.
Azmond had acquired an even greater supply of soul essence after breaking through to the 15th Stage of Quantum Qi Condensation, so he had some wiggle room to spare for his Ice Queen's protection.
Azmond was confident that even a half-step Soul Transformation Realm cultivator would have some trouble getting through the barriers that he had set up around Crystalline.
Assuming that you could even find half-step soul transformation realm cultivators in this vast expanse of forest called the Great Wildlands.
A task that many cultivators would find hard-pressed to accomplish if their goal was ever to locate the existence of a half-step soul transformation realm master within the Great Wildlands Forest.
.....
Azmond was reluctant to part ways with Crystalline after setting up such weak barriers around her, but he had no choice but to be content with the current protection limit of his soul essence barriers.
"..."
All living beings within a thousand-mile radius were left utterly stunned at the shamelessness of this man.
....
Azmond slowly walked away from Crystalline with lifeless eyes before reaching what he thought was a sufficient distance away from her.
He took one last longing look at Crystalline's receding figure before speeding up and jumping tens of thousands of meters away in one simple leap.
The ground beneath Azmond cracked when his feat left the ground, leaving a wide stretch of damage that almost expanded hundreds of meters away, near the entrance to the giant spiritual stone garden, but Azmond could hardly care about some damage to topography.
As long as his actions didn't harm his Little Ice Bunny, whatever happened because of him could live rent-free on his conscience.
.....
Azmond's tall figure landed tens of thousands of meters away from the giant spiritual stone garden before he took yet another leap off the ground and appeared another tens of thousands of meters away.
He repeated this process a few times until he was thousands of miles away from the giant spiritual stone garden.
.....
"This should be a decent enough distance away." An impassive voice sounded as Azmond's handsome figure was standing upright above a deep pit that he created when he ultimately ended up landing.
"I can finally test out the full extent of my current power without worrying over my Little Ice Flowers safety." A small, imperceptible smile almost formed on Azmond's face as he clenched his fists a few times and felt the massive amount of repressed strength that he was constantly holding back so as not to harm those around him.
Azmond traveled such a long distance because he was afraid that the full extent of his strength would harm Crystalline even if he was hundreds of miles away.
That just went to show the immense amount of strength that Azmond felt coursing through his veins.
Even he himself was left baffled at the sheer amount of pure destructive power he had acquired after breaking through to the 15th Stage of Quantum Qi Condensation.
That is not to mention the boon Azmond got from completely mastering his Quantum Gate Skill.
A fact that Azmond had yet to even realize himself...
