Chapter 91: The 'Tsundere's'
Azmond was taken out of his reverie when he heard the blonde perverts dry voice echo out.
He became a little disheartened when he heard that Loki wouldn't disclose the size of a pure blooded Divine Phoenix. But, he quickly got over it. As much as he hated to admit that he had even the smallest modicum of trust in the blonde pervert.
He knew that he must've had a good reason for leaving out such compelling information.
At least that was what Azmond was hoping Loki's reasoning was. If it turned out that he was just playing with his feelings, then
An imperceptible darkness almost formed inside of his eyes before it quickly dispersed. 'Well, let's just say that I would pay the blonde pervert back in full'
He lightly shrugged his shoulders a little before returning his attention back to Loki.
Loki felt a slight trace of goosebumps go down his back before noticing the weird occurrence of Azmond's. He was a little confounded over a mortal that was capable of inciting a reaction out of him. But decided to leave it at that for now. What did he have to worry about from a mortal, anyway?
"I will however tell you a little bit more about the 'Order Of The Eternal Flame'. This information I am about to divulge to you, could very well determine your future actions.
Do keep that in mind before you continue listening I will give you the option of backing out of this discussion if you wish."
Loki spoke these amiable words with a kind smile on his face. But, a cunning gleam of duplicity lay buried within those emerald eyes of his, for he already knew what Azmond's answer would be.
Loki was not one to gloat, but he had absolute confidence in his ability to read people. And with that keen instinct of his, he already had a firm grasp on the type of person he thought Azmond was.
"Is that even a question, blonde pervert?" Azmond asked with a rhetorical tone.
Not the least bit aware of the fact that he let out what he was calling Loki inside his head this entire time.
"You should already know my answer to such a useless question-" he began speaking with a flat tone before he came to an abrupt realization.
'Oops' Azmond was truly beginning to loathe his unfiltered mouth.
A large vein bulged on Loki's head when he heard the derogatory term he was referred to. "... You do realize that I know the meaning of that word, don't you?" He asked with a 'kind' twitching smile.
"..."
"Not gonna respond?" Loki's irritation was palpable.
The urge to knock some sense into a ridiculous mortal once again emerged inside his psyche.
"...It's not like I know your name, you know?" Azmond responded with an exasperated sigh. They truly hadn't exchanged even the most basic of courtesies during this entire conversation.
Loki was going to immediately refute whatever excuse Azmond conjured up, until he heard what he said.
'... That's a fair point. Though, I'll never tell him that'
There was a very good word to describe Loki. What was it again? Ts- Tsndr? Ahh, yes, now I remember
He was a certifiable tsundere.
"Don't talk back to me, mortal." He said with a slightly embarrassed face.
He would never admit that a mere mortal had caught him off guard with such a proclamation
"..." Azmond couldn't believe the unbelievably thick skin of this 'god'.
"Isn't it a little annoying that you always need to refer to me as 'mortal' and I have to call you whatever comes to mind? Why don't we just trade basic pleasantries and get this over with?"
Azmond was not one to stay on the losing side in a battle of words. His quick thinking quips were his most redeeming feature
Loki understood what Azmond was trying to convey, but that didn't mean he liked it Regardless, he felt that it wouldn't harm him to inform this ignorant mortal of his Divine Birth Name.
'I am feeling very magnanimous today. I don't mind telling this stupid human of my far superior name!'
His nose pointed straight up into the air as a haughty aura of narcissism pervaded the pocket dimension.
....
The narcissism leaked out so much that even Thor could feel the intense conceitedness that was flooding out of his brother.
'Why is my brother always so far up his own ass? I have partial divinity in the aspect of war, and yet even I am not as cocky as him'
Thor may not be very active in this discussion, but that didn't mean he completely abstained from listening in on them.
It was extremely boring in this pocket dimension, you know?
It seemed Tsunderes ran deep in the two brothers' bloodlines
"Listen carefully, human, for I won't repeat myself a second time." A contemptuous voice sounded out as Loki got off his chair.
He stood up straight and put his nose toward the Heavens before speaking in a slow proud tone.
"My. Name. Is. Loki!" A look of euphoria practically spilled out of his facial features.
RAAA! RAAA!
The heavens seemed to resonate with his name as if announcing the entrance of a divine deity!
At least, that's what Loki perceived was happening when he announced himself
In actuality, no such divine trumpets sounded out when he spoke his name. The only thing that could be heard after he got into his absurd pose, was the deafening silence that consumed the air around him.
He was just awkwardly standing there in a silly getup with a look that said he thought of himself as being at the absolute pinnacle of existence.
Both Azmond and Loki were staring at this ridiculous scene with blank faces.
'...His extreme pervertedness must've fried his brain cells'
'... Are we even related?'
They thought in unison.
