Chapter 154: Late-Quantum Foundation Establishment Realm
Speak of the devil
"Well It looks like I brought this upon myself, huh?" He said with an apathetic expression.
It looked like the heavens were not yet done with him, as they sent yet another 'disturbance' to interrupt his breakthrough.
This time, it wasn't a large, red yeti at the peak of the Soul Transformation Realm. It was something far stronger...
....
A large monstrosity that triumphed over the clouds approached the distant figure of Azmond as its gnarly features snarled at the massive Qi storm surrounding him!
*RAAGGHHHhh!!!!*
**Whoosh!**
The Qi dispersed for but a moment before it came back and attacked Azmond with even more ferocity than before!
The colossal beast didn't like that the Qi was getting in the way of its consumption of that delicious human. Extreme annoyance was clearly visible in its beastly featuresfeatures that resembled those of a troll!
That's right, this beast that stretched on for thousands of meters was an aberrant variation of a troll!
A mutant that had already reached the Initial stages of the Half-Step Void Refining Realm! It's appearance was particularly fiendish, as it had two twisted horns curving outward from its horrendously ugly green face!
Its building-sized eyes stared down at the ant-like figure of Azmond with a mindless glare.
In most cases, a monster at such a level would have at least the smallest modicum of intelligence; however
There was something odd about the monsters that attempted to thwart Azmond's attempts at breaking through.
Something unnatural
It swiped away the clouds covering its sight before it made itself known to the world!
**ROOOOAAARRR!!!!* A blaring predatory roar blazed across a hundred-mile radius of the Great Wildlands Forest.
**Gagushh!**
Large amounts of putrid-smelling saliva flew out of the giant aberrant troll's mouth before it made its move!
However, before it even made it a step closer to the ant-like Azmond, a tired sigh echoed out.
"Sigh"
"Why must those pests above keep on sending such annoyances to interrupt my cultivation session?" Is something wrong with their brains?" Following such an apathetic voice was the release of a seemingly all-powerful energy.
**BOoOoMM!**
The crimson variation of the Quantum Law exploded outwards with him at the source!
Such an eruption was followed up by the condensation of the immense amount of energy being releasedthe untold amounts of crimson Qi quickly and effectively condensed down to the size of a small, 6-foot-long bladea crimson black katana that landed in an outstretched hand of Azmond.
Following such a splendiferous action was the subsequent downward swing of his katana.
**SLICE!!**
"... Send someone stronger next time"
Those were the last dull words that the enormous Aberrant Troll would ever hear before its eyesight would become split into two.
**Whoosh!** The crimson-black crescent continued onward for another thousand miles before eventually dispersing into the heavens.
**BOOooOoMM!** **Bang!**
Following the dissipation of his Quantum Rift Blade were the loud noises produced by the two bisected pieces of the aberrant Troll falling to the ground surfacetaking out a couple small hills and mountains on the way down!
....
"..." He stood suspended in the air, his arm behind his back, with an indifferent expression plastered on his chiseled features.
He didn't even have to try to act like a sword immortal anymore, for he truly began to look like one.
That daunting and tranquil aura that surrounded his aura like an impregnable layer kept even the energies in the atmosphere at bay!
His body moved back into a lotus position as he still had a breakthrough to proceed withhe completely and utterly ignored the ensuing chaos caused by his bisection of a small mountain-sized creature.
Dark green blood and enormous entrails fell from the heavens as all the animals down below were running around, frantically trying to escape the raining monster blood.
However, that wasn't the case for every creature, as the smaller monsters, at least the ones bold enough, began to gather toward the Half-Step Void Refining Troll Corpse with unrelenting fervor!
They were willing to risk everything they had to acquire even the smallest drop of that Troll blood! After all, it was the blood of a monster in the Half-Step Void Refining Realm, and such a monster's corpse had nothing but unlimited boons in the eyes of the far weaker monsters.
**Rooarr!**
*Rawrgh!!**
Cougar, bear, lion, hippo, and every other mutant variation of monster swarmed toward the Troll corpse with voracious predatory gazes.
They fought and killed each other on the way over, as they didn't care what they had to do to get the biggest share of such a divine treasure!
At least, that's what they were hoping for
However, hopes often get crushed as soon as they materialize.
**Whoosh!** **Slice!!**
The whistling sounds of an enormous blade slicing through the air echoed out as a black and gold slime appeared amidst all the rampaging monsters.
The level of insatiable avarice on its slimy little face far outweighed even that of the largest of the rampaging monsters. It wanted to devour not only the colossal Troll corpse but also the corpses of every monster around it!
**SLICE!** **SLICE!**
More and more slimy, blackish gold blades were released from Emu's body as they were aimed at every single monster in the vicinity.
A 50-foot-long python quickly fell victim to the first of Emu's deadly and precise strikes as its head slid off its scaly body, followed by a fountain of blood spurting out of the location where it was severed!
**Spurt!** **Whoosh!**
Another monster soon fell, just the same as the python that came before itthis monster was a 60-foot-long bear, but it mattered not how big and imposing the monsters were to the seemingly benign slime.
It met its demise all the same!
Just as the monsters that followed not long after would fall the same way,.
**Spurt!** **Slice!**
Heads and bodies fell in every direction as they were quickly and efficiently disposed of.
